As we pulled up, it looked pretty crowded, a few families waiting outside. I checked on the wait time for 3 & was told 20-25 minutes. We don't consider that an excessive wait time any time we go out. And being from out of town, it would've taken us at least that long to find another spot & probably would've had a wait at any other restaurant. There was plenty of space to wait in front of the restaurant, it was shaded and the weather was nice. I don't know how long we waited for a table, but it seemed to be less than quoted. Once seated, we were served drinks right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered blue corn cinnamon pancakes with a side of bacon. The bacon was cooked crisp, just how I like it. The pancakes were really good! Different from anything I've had before. My husband had chilaquiles, those were really good. And my son got a traditional breakfast. The menu said it came with fries, which were more what we called breakfast potatoes. That was a good thing! Those potatoes were so good! The restaurant looked to be well staffed, everyone working and taking care of customers. This is for sure a place I'd recommend and would return to on future visits to Santa Fe.

The chips were tossed in a combination of the red and green chile, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the beans and potatoes were delicious!!! The French toast was good, pretty standard French toast. The shrimp and the vegetable appetizers were kind of ehhh. I did love the green chile stew. The enchiladas were good but nothing special. I also got a paloma and it was strong. Definitely tasted mezcal but not much of the other flavors. Also, they corrected their mistake but I did call in a reservation. It took three phone calls on two different days. The person who picked up took my reservation but apparently did NOT record it in their reservation book. When we got there our reservation was no where to be found and even worse, the hostess said this had been happening a few times but they didn't know who was taking these reservations and not writing them down. Now if it was a one off, I'm just unlucky, but if you're telling me it's an issue, I think it's something management should really work harder on solving. The hostess was nice enough to be like you'll be our first priority for seating if any reservations don't show up and we were able to get a table fairly quickly which I really do appreciate. Unfortunately, the charm started wearing off when I realized the entire building was coughing. Kitchen? Coughing. Staff? Coughing. Customers? Coughing. At one point it sounded less like a restaurant and more like the waiting room at urgent care during flu season. I generally prefer my breakfast without the ambient soundtrack of respiratory illness, particularly when some of the coughing is coming from the people preparing the food. Meanwhile, the AC was apparently set to "meat locker," so I froze my ass off while drinking coffee that immediately informed my colon we had somewhere else to be. Combine that with the nuclear salsa and I was suddenly operating under a very real deadline. Naturally, I walked outside to discover I had been completely parked in. And somehow my friend, who parked in a totally different spot, was ALSO parked in. So now two adults with increasingly urgent gastrointestinal situations are performing eight-point turns in the parking lot like we're taking the final exam at defensive driving school. The food was genuinely good. Unfortunately, good eggs can only carry an experience so far. If you go, bring a jacket, perhaps a KN95, know the location of the nearest bathroom, and for the love of God, park somewhere you cannot get boxed the fuck in.
