Honestly I would do zero stars if possible, I took my car to the for the AC in 2021. I was advised to put an entire new system in which I did. Not even 5000 miles on the AC unit and it goes out! I understand the two year warranty was out but not the mileage warranty. makes me ponder what type parts they use that the compressor is out again!! Asking another 1208. to fix it. Spouse's car was running into some car issues. Looked around and decided to give them a try. The owner was extremely friendly and was able diagnose it. I almost passed out on the the things that it needed to be replaced. It was only a matter of time before the car would have been on the side of the road.So we decided to swallow the pill and just pay for the most expensive item, which was the struts and shocks. We later realized that the other items were things I could fix myself. I saved closed to $700. Get your tires from Walmart...the tires they attempted to sell to me was no different. I'll go back if needed, but it won't be my first choice though. Nonetheless the service was good. read more

I don't know why I had to ask the clerk and then the manager to put 30,000 mile check up and the correct vehicle color on my receipt, but I had to ask the clerk twice for the mileage note. Then I had to ask the manager to correct the color note. My vehicle is not a black Mazda CX-9, it's a green Mazda CX-9. The clerk was argumentative, "Do you think the color really matters?" I don't know, but if I have to ask the warranty to cover something major, do I want to give them a way to get out of the warranty? read more

If I could give it a 1/2 star I would. So I took my vehicle to them because it wouldn't accelerate when I pressed the gas pedal. Towed it there on a Wednesday first the part was lost so apparently it had to be ordered again. When I was called and told I need a throttle body I was ok but I was also told I would need a transmission but not immediately. I was ok with that. I received a call on Saturday " your vehicle is ready " go to pick up my vehicle $851.77 later. I drive off my vehicle is still doing the exact same thing I took it in for. I was on the highest level of pissosity(?). They claim to be a Christian business but they rip people off and don't get the job done nor are the accommodating in anyway. read more

Had truck for 2 months and didn't fix nothing and over $5000 wasted. Came in for truck knocking on right hand side passenger. Originally was told that my transfer case and that they used a microscope to determine this and it would be over $3000 to replace transfer case. Had truck for along time and had to basically beg for updates. So they end up replacing the front differential after they told me the wrong part came in. They said it was the transfer case and ended up changing the front differential. They then proceeded to say we aren't going to charge you for are mistake and by the way it still is doing the same thing. Next they said oh you heard of the chevy lifters going out. That is what we found a failed lifter. So they really tried selling me an engine for $13000 to install. The chevy dealership has so many is what they said. Or they said they could fix the lifter problem for over $5000. So I went with the lifter option. Which they charged like $1000-$1500 for parts and $3500 for labor for 27 hours. Finally get truck back and less then a week. The engine light started flashing and the truck was shaking. So I had to get it towed back to the shop. They said that lifer 7 failed and they replaced it and tested it and said it did it again. And then only told me well could be a bore that is worn and offered a new engine for $13000. That's when I got truck out of there ASAP. My Truck went in coming out worse then it came in. I would not recommend my worst enemy to go here. Even the tow company I used said these people were getting over on mutliple people by taking advantage of them. I will right many reviews on everywhere I can and use social media as well to try and when people. I will tell everyone I see in person to stay away. I will additionally be filling with BBB, writing a demand letter and will be filling a lawsuit for small claims court if it comes down to it. It's not right to treat anyone this way and definitely not a way to treat customers or Military. read more

I recently got a diagnostic done by this company. They said my transmission needed to be replaced. I have a Ford 2014 escape SE I didn't have the funds at the time so I got a extended warranty on my vehicle took it to Ford they did a full diagnostics on my car and found out that my transmission was working fine. I notify them so that I can get my money back because they said if they didn't find what was wrong with my car, I didn't have to pay Them, they gave me the runaround and give me my money back lied about what Ford said about my car gave me my money eventually and said for my peace of mind they are very very bad in business and I wouldn't recommend them to anybody. They kind of scam me into trying to think that my car transmission was bad when it actually wasn't I wouldn't recommend this company anybody always get a second opinion especially from this company. After doing the diagnostic, I picked up my car and called them back to get a part changed,when they started the job for the part changed they ran into a different problem. They contacted me let me know what was going on along with pictures (which is awesome) I declined the farther changes. They refunded my payment with no hassle. $3000 folks and the vehicle made it 45 miles. Vehicle was determined unsafe to drive and towed to a repair shop south of austin. Another $500 for it to run. We requested compensation from this business and were ordered via text to remove this same review before they would consider reimbursement. They offered $250!!!!! The company insists the vehicle was insured for their work. However, since the vehicle was misdiagnosed the insurance company would not cover any further repairs. read more

This repair shop told me that they would order the part for my car, and that it would be in on Tuesday 1/2/18. When I called they then said that I had to pay half for them to order the part. When we were looking at buying a car we brought it here to get inspected. It was 40 and if there was anything wrong was th at 40 would have been applied to it. When we needed brakes we brought it here again and they did an amazing job! Everyone is super friendly and the manager Bobby is so nice and they are honest with you. Can't put into words how much these guys at running right auto helped me and my family out. We had an AC problem that we have been back and forth with since Summer started. We had our vehicle serviced by someone that had serviced it in the previous year (right around this same time) & after much back and forth we decided to seek out other help. The guys here worked around the clock to correct this problem, that come to find out, was not minor whatsoever, and they even worked well after the shop was closed to meet a deadline. This is probably the best auto care center in Bell country i must say. They won't lie to you. They will tell you what's needs to be fixed on your car and if no need, they will let you know as well. They're not like the other auto care centers that although no fixing is needed on your car, they will tell you that something is need to he fixed just to get money from you. I went to this place because of all the reviews in here stating that they were honest and fair when pricing car repairs. While the receptionist lady was really sweet and friendly, I have to say I felt ripped off when they expected me to pay $750 for replacing the alternator on a 2013 Chevy Traverse. I knew the part only costs $170 at Oreillys, and I really felt disrespected by this place and their outrageous costs. I was charged $92 for their diagnosis, and they even forgot to place back the motor's plastic cover which I had to recover from them the following day. I'm so glad we started taking our vehicles to Running Right, they have taken great care of us and I truly appreciate how detailed and upfront they are about repairs. The first time I took my car there was after I had taken my car to Firestone for a simple oil change only to get a call from them saying that there was apparently a leak and there was no oil on the dipstick. Apparently Firestone's policy is that they can no longer do any work on the vehicle if there's no oil on the dipstick so I had to bring my own oil to fill it up or I had to take it elsewhere (thanks a lot!). So I drove it just down the road, not even a 1/4 mile to Running Right and they discovered what the issue was, explained everything to me in detail, offered to let us come and look at the problem ourselves to see what they were seeing. It was also almost 5pm on a Saturday (they're closed on Sunday) and one of the mechanics volunteered to stay late and fix it that night so we wouldn't be without a vehicle on the day that they're closed. It was fixed that night and at a fair price. A few months later our truck was acting up, and they suggested going with the cheaper option (a full tune up) first to see if that would correct the problem because the other option would probably cost 2-3 times as much. So far so good (knock on wood). I've also suggested them to a neighbor for her AC, she said that the quotes she had gotten from other mechanics were outrageous and when she took her vehicle to Running Right they gave her a much more reasonable quote! read more

When my S/O was deployed for Houston Hurricane Disaster Relief I decided to make a supprize partial payment on his auto repair. I was quite surprised by the amount but made a substantial payment towards it thinking to make payments until it was paid off so when he comes home he will have the car in the driveway as a surprise. (I am in another state.) The next week comes and I hear that he was informed of the progress not yet being complete and that they believed it was now the O2 sensor. They were charging him for repairs they "thought" he would need- and they never got approval from him to make these repairs as he was unavailable due to the deployment. I called the shop and spoke with the owner ED. First, he would not speak with me until he knew who I was to the client. I understood his concern but he was very rude about it and I stated that was the client's significant other. He seemed to relax until I point blank asked him why, if they *knew* it was the O2 sensor, would they rehaul and "fix" all these other parts on the vehicle and why it was taking them so long to get this diagnosis. I explained the symptoms of a defective O2 sensor to him and asked him why out took so long for them to figure it out. He straight out said they had to check all the repairs done by other shops first before they would diagnose the sensor! I told him that this was ridiculous because if it is a bad O2 then repairing it would fix the whole problem. I accused him of fleecing my S/O and that they didn't have to check any other shops work first. That they were not responsible for other shops work. He tried to explain how they had to also check this particular piece on the vehicle, and knowing a little bit about cars I realized he was making up a non-existent part to throw me off. I asked him how does he not know if I am not currently googling the parts and vehicle repairs as we speak as I know for sure that this is not a real part. He got upset and disconnected the call almost immediately. They have had their hands on the vehicle for months. .... When I heard the symptoms of the failures I immediately knew what it was. Now, they are threatening if the reviews do not come down they won't make this right! They knew he was in Houston for hurricane disaster relief as they said one of their own was there... And then they took advantage of that to make more money. There is more upcoming issues in dealing with them but this sums up my personal experience with Running Right Auto Care. read more
