Run Republic - Shoe Stores Near Me - Walnut, California

I was first introduced to Run Republic by Nico! Nico is a cool dude who has a canny ability to interact with older adults, college athletes, and kids of all levels with an interest in running. He has a wealth of knowledge, both personally as a college runner, and academically from frequent books he reads. Run Republic is very community oriented, and has a gym/studio that helps athletes work on strength and cardio. The shop is very aesthetic, and you can tell the staff really cares about its image and products. I have bought at least 5 pairs of shoes and various apparel from their store. Don't forget to ask about their Saturday Community Run and their special deals! If you need a running coach, ask for Nico! read more

John was super informative, took a scan of my foot, found a perfect shoe that I wouldn't of chose with John's insight. If you're looking for a more custom shoe experiencethis is the place read more

Joe and Armando helped me picking out the right shoe for work. Also scanned my foot which told me about my arch (that I didn't know about). Great customer service! Recommend the store for your feet :) read more

As a new runner a lot of people I knew talked about this store. I wasn't fully committed at first, but when I started buying gear... this was my go to store. I've since bought 3 pairs of shoes, and many many accessories from them. Their customer service is awesome from each and every staff member. The store owner is a real family man and treats his store as such. If you're looking for a positive experience then look no further. read more

Coach Nico & Caitlyn rock. The best duo since Bonny & Clyde. The workouts just keep getting better. They are so much more than just your average CrossFit type place. It's quality over quantity. I've lost 20lbs and my cardio is of the charts since I've joined. read more

We came in right before they closed, but Nate welcomed us and told us to take our time! Great customer service from this guy. And he helped us find the right shoe even though we are newbies to running! This place is great and it's in our backyard!!! read more

My son needed racing flats for a race the following day and Run Republic saved the day. Called to ensure they were open and I believe the owner answered. She was very courteous and asked for us to come right in. Upon entering, an employee immediately acknowledged us even though he was finalizing a transaction. Within a minute or two, he made recommendations and we were on our way home. Fast, efficient, friendly. I especially enjoyed all of the insight he shared. My son seemed to dig it as well. This was a pleasant experience and I'm sure to be back. They do some type of aerobic classes in their gym portion. Folks really seemed to be getting a good workout. I had no clue they were in my neighborhood but will now be recommending it to others. read more

i came with bery low expectations cuz i was on a groupon deal: $11 for 10 classes!! its so ridiculously cheap i figured id go a few times and wouldnt even mind wasting it since its dirt cheap. turned out to be a great workout woth helpful trainers and clean facilities! their trainers separate each class of 20-30 ppl into groupsof 4-5 and have you do certain workouts at each station for a few minutes, then rotate. theres cardio, strength training, light lifting, and the classes are different daily to work on diff areas. the trainers are great with monitering for correct posture and everyones comfort levels, they gently push me when they can tell im slacking (im always slacking) and when some people have been legitimately uncomfortable, trainers had good knowledge on helping them feel better. overall great gym. theyre a little pushy on joining membership after the groupon so you have to be sure to cancel 5 days before they plan to charge to avoid a recurring monthly fee. they also sell super healthy fresh pressed fruit and veggiejuices! aand shoesss. read more

Don't usually write reviews but had a pretty awful experience here. Came on a Ssaturday and both Yelp and the Storefront showed they were supposed to be open, but the doors were locked and no one answered. Tried calling a few times over the course of 2 hours and no one picked up. Since I really needed some insoles I came back later in the day, the "Open light" was still flashing but the door remained locked. Was able to see someone inside who unlocked the door, she didnt know anything about running, and advised the store did not sell insoles. Not sure why a run speciality store would hire staff who keeps the door locked during business hours, have no knowledge about running, and don't carry insoles. Wanted to support the local Walnut business but they really need to work on customer service. read more

Staffs are friendly and knowledgeable, and there are several good brands of shoes, sandals and insoles to choose from. To me, the best part is the food-scanner; it gives you the details about my feet (and my wife's) and therefore we can choose the most suitable ones for us. This shop is highly recommended. read more

Armando is very helpful and knowledgeable. Helped me pick out shoes for my type of feet, socks, and running bottle.
