Decent spot for lunch. Their weekday lunch special (app, half main entree, and drink) is ~$17.50, which seems about average for a casual sit-down meal in the area. I ordered an individual adana lamb wrap and enjoyed it, but if you came hungry, you'd probably want a little bit more.

Great takeout!!! Flavorful, large portions, and reasonably priced. New goto middle eastern takeout spot!!!

Came here for a Team Lunch and we all had a great time. Lunch Specials are the one to opt for since we get most of the Menu Options to choose from, and price is fair. We made a point of selecting different Appetizers and Entrées with each of our Lunch Specials, so I got to try variety of items, and they all tasted pretty good. Atmosphere was homey and the decor was kind of cute and pleasant. Service was pretty quick, considering the place was packed and our Table itself had 12 people. Staff were friendly and helpful, patiently answering all of our questions. Would definitely recommend.

I work near this place and I'm in my Mediterranean food typa phase lol so when I found out about this place from my friend I was like, "let me give them a try". This place ended up being my go to Mediterranean spot when I'm in the area. I always get the chicken shish kebab and let me tell you...the chicken was cooked PERFECTLY. It was moist and not dry and it was so flavorful! It was cooked fresh (as it always should!). I love the portioning. I don't eat much rice when I'm out to eat so I ask them to alter the order which they always do. The ambiance is good! It felt traditional and fit the Turkish vibe. For my Mediterranean food lovers, give this place a try and to all other people! You won't be disappointed

Best Food Ever! So fresh & amazing service. Definitely #1 recommendation for middle eastern pick in Jersey City area. I felt right at home. I love all the food options.

Delicious & wonderful service! I've ordered takeout and have dined in. Each time, everyone there was so nice. The food is delicious and fresh. If you're not into saucy foods, I recommend asking for the sauce on the side as something like the chicken iskender was quite saucy (I love sauce though, but the people I was with preferred less saucy pieces of chicken). I do wish the little beef dumplings had more seasoning with the meat, but I did really like the yogurt sauce they were served in.

Loved the place, for the ambience. The lights, art and decor. It was busy for Friday 7:30pm. I would recommend making reservations. Wish they had wide variety of veg options. They had a veg kebab which was totally not what I had imagined. So, the rating. Would recommend mixing falafels or veg kebabs to their dishes and not just grilled vegetables. It was dry without no sauces. So had to request for a white sauce on the side. Not sure if this is how you eat this dish, all dry and solid. Chicken iskander kebab was alright but it could have been presented in a better way. It was a lot of quantity but it just puts you off at first sight. The service was poor.

Excellent authentic Turkish food served by an incredibly friendly and efficient staff! Bring your appetite and a-lot of friends so you could try a bunch of things like we did. Everything was just delicious from the various dips and pita to the giant sampler board of various meats. We topped it off with an assortment of desserts and some Turkish coffee. Will def be back!

More like 3.5 stars. Stopped in for dinner. As an appetizer I had the babaganouj and it was good. They serve their bread warm which is nice. My entree was the lamb iskender kebab and it was tasty and a very large portion. The lamb chops however, weren't that great. They also didn't have any Turkish tea and the service was painfully slow. The the kunefe for dessert. A must. It was the best part of the meal.

At the end of our meal, the waiter offered complimentary Turkish tea, which I had and really enjoyed. I just wish that they had cubed sugar for the tea instead of packets. I added to my list but didn't try it until this week and I was blown away! The restaurant is lovely and has a great vibe (although it is a little loud due to the low ceilings). Service was great reflecting exceptional Turkish hospitality. My friends and I started with small mezzes (all delicious) and zucchini blossoms, which I could have had as a standalone meal. I had the Turkish delight meat dish and that was super. My husband had the beyti and it was the best I've ever had. We all ate way too much and waddled out of there way too full. Prices are about what you'd expect in that part of town and it's worth every penny. I will definitely be back. I recommend that you go here too and am confident you'll find everything is cok guzel!

Super glad I got to try out NAR and I hope it does well, because the food is straight up amazing. I started off with a glass of the Cotes d'Avanos Narince Blend from Turkey and I highly recommend! It's medium bodied and acidic, with mineral, stone fruit, and citrus, and would go really well with seafood. For food, we began with the mezze sampler, which included babaganoush, muhammara, and hummus. This is a great way to start the meal, especially since Nar serves a delicious bread (crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside) as a complementary starter. My favorites were the muhammara, an intense, piquant spread made with roasted red peppers and pomegranate molasses, and the ever-smoky babaganoush, which was served with pomegranates. The hummus was great, too; I just thought it wasn't a standout. -Aegean Style Cherry Vine Leaf Sarma (stuffed vine leaves, cherry yogurt, pine nuts, currants): Delicious. The savory, salty sarma are tasty on their own, but best when lightly sweetened with the cherry yogurt and tart, juicy currants. -Beyti Kebab (hand minced lamb wrapped in lavash, yogurt, confit tomatoes): This was the most flavorful lamb - juicy, smoky, perfectly spiced - I've had in a long time. The lavash (bread) that it was rolled in was also spiced, the yogurt was cooling, and the tomatoes and bell peppers a fresh and flavorful accompaniment. We finished off the meal with ice cream and Turkish coffee. The coffee took a while, so they took it off of our bill, which was a kind gesture. The ice cream was a different experience! It was made with goat milk, so the flavor was distinct, and it was extremely thick. High-quality and fun to try, but just a little too thick for my preferences.

Really wish I took photos - therefore just like the great convos with the wonderful, extremely personable and educational counter gentlemen - will be coming back real soon with photos Review: Hudson Kebab House isn't just good--it's memorable. I had the gyro wrap, my wife had the chickpea salad with falafel, and both dishes were so on point they brought me right back to my time in Istanbul. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The wrap was balanced, not greasy, and the falafel had that perfect crisp-to-fluff ratio. But what really stood out? The person behind the counter. Not sure if he's the owner or just part of a family-run operation, but his energy was magnetic. He checked in with us--and with everyone who came through the door--like we were all regulars. Friendly without being overbearing, helpful without the upsell. He made the food taste even better, if that's possible. This spot has soul. It's the kind of place you return to not just because the food is excellent (it is), but because it feels good to be there. I'll be back very soon to try the kebabs, and when I do, expect a full deep dive--possibly with pictures, definitely with passion. 15/10 - must try. Strong BUY, erm, sry, not investing.. The decor inside feels homey, nostalgic, and thoughtful. They weren't busy at all on a Sunday around 1:30pm so we were seated right away. We started with 1pc Lahmacun which is often called Turkish pizza. It's minced beef, tomatoes, onions, and spices on fresh flatbread. Their flatbread and even the complimentary bread we received before this was to die for! Some of the best bread I've ever had at a Middle Eastern restaurant. It was warm, fresh, and airy. The Lahmacun had delicious flavor and paired well with the vegetables it's served with. 1pc is plenty to share among 2 people. It was now time for the Mixed Grill which was presented beautifully! All the meat was outstanding, tender, juicy, smoky, you name it. I honestly didn't have a favorite because they were all delicious. I love that it's served with both rice and salad with the salad being on both sides of the plate making it even easier to share. This was easily sharable among 2 people and could even stretch out to 3 people if you order other appetizers. We ended with the Finn Sütlac which is a Turkish-style baked rice pudding. It was creamy and lightly sweet but the rice grains were still whole and slightly undercooked which I didn't particularly enjoy. I'm used to them being softer and even smaller in size. Beyti Kebab is easily a 4.5/5; some of the best Turkish food I've had across NY/NJ. Highly recommend!

The walls are decorated with portraits of Turkish artists, giving the space a cozy and cultural vibe that really stands out. We ordered a platter meant for two, along with a side of rice. Honestly, the portion felt more than enough for three people--very generous serving! I also had a Turkish soda, and later, a glass of Turkish tea, which I highly recommend if you're visiting. The tea was smooth, aromatic, and the perfect way to end the meal. Parking was surprisingly manageable. It's not a super busy road, so there's a good chance you'll find a spot nearby. Still, it can get a little tricky depending on the time of day since there are several other restaurants around competing for space. Service was attentive, the place felt welcoming, and it's clear they care about your experience. Would definitely return--and next time I'm bringing more friends!

It was so refreshing, the perfect amount of salt, so good. And it's homemade. I would highly recommend you try this drink regardless of what you order, it's that good. The chicken Adana sandwich was also quite nice. The chicken was fresh and well seasoned in a good portion with some lettuce, onions, tomatoes as well. The bread was great. It's served with two wonderful, flavorful sauces: hot sauce and yogurt sauce (I much prefer the latter). Portion is incredible for the price. Then, I was initially interested in trying the fig pudding for dessert but they were out of it, so I went with the rice pudding. Again, a huge portion that is well worth the price. So creamy, so good. And, they brought out 2 Turkish teas for free to make up for not having the fig! The people are just very nice here, and the tea was also lovely, piping hot and just perfect. It's a pretty small restaurant but doesn't get crowded early on. They were playing some Turkish music while I ate, and I really enjoyed it.
