I had never heard of this, but after reading about it on their website I was game. The bowling concept is the same except I didn't need my bowling shoes that I brought and the balls were palm sized with no holes. It took me quite a few rolls to figure out the best way to knock the pins down. The various screen and floor themes add to the fun. I especially enjoyed the Pinpix theme which creates a facial features and crazy accessories. The only thing that was missing was music. We got there when they first opened at 10am and we were the only ones in the bowling area so it was quiet. The staff was really helpful and explained how everything worked. I love the concept of indoor go-karts, bowling, arcade, food, etc for a fun time.

Checked out Andretti as part of a full day birthday celebration for an adult…read more We chose to do one go kart race and our heat was scheduled about 15 minutes after we purchased the ticket. We were told to check back in five minutes before the heat started. On our way to check in, we saw some other people checking in who we had previously observed partaking in some 'recreational activities' in the parking lot - no judgment on that, but I do have a legitimate concern for my safety driving with others under an influence. I approached the staff member in the check in room and explained the situation and asked if we could postpone to the next heat. I was told I'd have to go back to the front desk and ask if they can make the change and that the next heat wouldn't be for another half hour. We didn't have the flexibility in our schedule to stay that long so we decided to participate in the current heat. The staff member told me I could pull over to the side to get assisted off the track if I needed to at any time. I didn't love that I would have to exit the race because of someone else's behavior. Interestingly, during the race, one person crashed into the wall in front of me and the other person crashed into my partner. Aside from all that drama, the track was pretty fun with lots of hard turns. The vehicles had great traction. The turbo button on the vehicle I was using was not marked or colored, so I was not able to use it during the race which was disappointing. I think that all of the entertainment and activity options were exciting and plentiful. If I had endless time and funds, I could definitely keep myself busy here for several hours, maybe even an entire day. I didn't love that a single go kart race was $30 per person and I didn't love that safety wasn't taken more seriously.

Came for drag racing on a Friday night…read more Good family atmosphere . . . clean, plenty of seating, decent food. A bit pricy, but I guess what isn't these days? Saw couples, families with kids, seniors who each all seemed to enjoy it. The announcer will have you groaning for better, but overall there are some decent places to view the cars not just during the races, but as they line up / set up.

There are plenty of car shows that are free and include more of the type of cars that I like. Tickets for this event were close to $50 each! Luckily, I had a code for $10 off per ticket that I got from their tent where they were promoting Fuel Fest at another car show. We arrived later than I wanted to so it got dark out pretty fast. Our Uber also dropped us off at the wrong area so we had to walk around a bit to the entrance. For the people who drove and parked there, it looked like they were walking pretty far to get to their cars. Besides the car show, there was a car competition, and drifting going on when we arrived. I believe they also had drag racing, drift ride alongs, Lucha Libre wrestling and special guest appearances before that. Later on, they had a laser show by Made in Vietnam! That was cool to see! They were on for about an hour. We watched the majority of it and walked around to see the rest of the cars real quick before leaving. It was getting really cold out! The event had food trucks and drink stands. Didn't try anything but the food smelled good. The only thing needed out there that night were heaters! My hands were freezing towards the end. We left around 7ish Tip: screenshot your tickets/QR code or add to your mobile wallet ahead of time. There was little service there.

If you're at the Penske Automall and have time to kill while waiting for your car to be serviced,…read morethe Penske Racing Museum is a great distraction -- and the best part is that it's FREE. This is a self-guided museum with informational plaques for every exhibit. The museum itself is on the smaller side, so if you just breeze through without reading anything you could probably finish in 15 minutes... but that would completely miss the point. The real fun is learning the history behind each car, trophy, and piece of racing memorabilia on display. Most of the vehicles are IndyCar and NASCAR race cars, along with a few pace cars. The museum has two levels: downstairs features the full-size cars, while upstairs has trophies, scale models, and other memorabilia. There's also a small cafe upstairs that serves food. I tried the chicken tenders and fries, which came out piping hot and were surprisingly delicious. Even if you're not a huge car enthusiast or racing fan, this place is absolutely worth checking out.

Everything indoors in phx is so expensive so it's nice to have something to do in summer that isn't! We got here right when it opened and it wasn't busy! She was incredibly rude, ignored direct questions like "how long until the next race" and "where do we go when our name is called" and "how are you today?" Very clearly having a bad day and decided to take it out on customers. Aside from her, the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. The facility is in good shape and the racing was a blast. 12 laps is the perfect amount of racing at a time. I would go back if customer service improved.

Stopped on a whim and had the best time!…read more We purchased three races each and got on the track pretty quickly. They give new racers the run down on how everything works, the flag system, etc. Explained the red button on the steering wheel that should only be used if necessary to back up. When my husband asked if the green button on the steering wheel was to boost your speed, the guy said if you think it does, then yes. LOL The carts go fast and it's a lot of fun. I like that after your race, you can get your results up at the counter inside to see where you ranked, your fastest lap, etc. I had one incident on my last race where I spun out and then someone hit me at full force. The flag guy ran over to make sure I was OK. My pride made me tell him yes, I was fine but it actually hurt. But I'm a big girl and can handle getting roughed up a little. LOL Thankfully it happened on my last race because my car did not handle too well after that - it shook terribly. I felt that the staff were patient, helpful and want everyone to have a good time. Our only issue was that we waited forever for our last race. They never called our names and group after group after group went on the course. Turns out they had somehow forgot about us. Arcade games, food, photo opps are inside and like I said, we had the best time!
