So I came here with my boyfriend to go ziplining and it wasn't what I was expecting lols. When I think ziplining, I'm thinking we are going to go quite the distance and maybe get some sick views of the mountains etc. With this place, they bring you to the very top and then you come down - it feels like you're riding half a rollercoaster. I generally wasn't impressed, especially since we were staying in Phoenix and this place was an hour to get there. We walked around after and I believe the place served as an old mining area so they have it staged as so - we walked in and out of the shops checking out all the different knick knacks. For the hour we drove to get to this place, we left after 30 min. If you're looking for a place to generally explore, I think the shops etc are interesting, but I wouldn't come here for a full ziplining experience as that is not what they offer. read more

Superstition Zipline is located in the Goldfield Ghost Town. The ticket booth and actual ride are located near the Goldfield Ghost Town train station. Parking for all the businesses in the ghost town is free. I purchased a Groupon over a month before we visited, when I was planning our day trip. This was one of our activities after hiking at the nearby Superstition Mountains. Groupon was easy to use. Repeat rides may be purchased directly from the business for only $7 per rider. (Price as of March 2024.) Zipline is two seats next to each other. Riders are slowly backed up to the starting point. Being backed up slowly really allows one to take in the view. Riders then zip back down to the starting point. Pictures from your ride may be purchased at the ticket booth. Several different shots are taken during the ride. read more

Want the best aerial photo of Superstitious Mountain and Goldfield Ghost Town? Ride the Superstitious Zipline. It is best described as a cable car that moves fast enough for "whoo" and slow enough to take photos or a videos. It's a cool feature at this Ghosttown experience. Not scary and all appropriate for all ages. You have to get yourself seated in the cable seat in case you have limitations. If the day you arrive it's a one-man show, be patient. There is only one zip which is $12 and you can ride multiple times for $6 but not all at the same time. There is also a photo op you can purchase so smile. read more

Loved getting the photos after too and our attendant was super warm and cued music perfectly to enhance our riding experience. This particular zip-line is fantastic due to the two seats, which is so much easier to ride and enjoy for those of us with back/neck issues. We went to the Lost Dutchman's Goldmine and there is a zip lining attraction on the property. I was all set for a serious zip but it was more like a ski lift ride. However the depth of the seat was a little shallow for my comfort. Me and my travel buddy have junk in the trunks. The ride pulls you up backwards and you feel like you are sliding out of the seat. Once you reach the top they shoot you down with some speed. Once was enough for both of us but glad we did it! read more

So we drove all the way there and paid to do the zip line that was not even a min long.. I'm seriously not kidding you. They buckle you in and then you go backwards maybe 50 feet or so and then you come storming right back, it took longer to buckle us in then the entire ride. We love Todd at superstition zip-line! I have taken my kids like 5 times now and I feel very safe a we have a blast. They do a great job making sure you are belted in properly and they have 100% professionalism in their work. The view is AMAZING, you can see the best view of the superstition mountains while you scream all the way down! Ride: The name is pretty misleading--this isn't your typical zipline. You sit in a two-person, ski lift-like structure. There is a motor that propels you up super high, where you hang for about 30 seconds and then you drop back down. The whole thing took about 2 minutes--even with the Groupon (2 for $19 instead of 2 for $24), it's not a great bang-for-your-buck. The views were pretty spectacular up top though, so the price would probably be worth it if you're not a big hiker, if you don't have much time, or if you have young kids and still wanted to get a good view. Also, the lift played music, which made the whole ride pretty hilarious in my opinion. Location: The zipline is right next to a ghost town, which is on the way to Canyon Lake from the Valley. The ghost town is a bit of a tourist trap, but fun to walk around for a short while. When I came for the zipline, I made a dedicated trip for it; the 45 minute drive each way for a 2 minute ride would not have been worth it if I didn't have such good company. I would suggest that if you wanted to check out the zipline, to make a day of it! Head to Canyon Lake, paddle or walk around (there are some nice easy trails, and also a restaurant with a FANTASTIC view), and then on your way back to the Valley, stop by the ghost town and do the zipline. read more

I Purchased a Groupon for the zip line after having come here about a year ago and really enjoying entire day exploring this part of history in Arizona... Little did I know, there was a hidden gem within this old mining town which has history, ghost stories, delicious food, and just the perfect little day date. But, the best part was going on the zip line that takes you up about 150 feet so you get to see the superstition Mountains, the entire town, views for miles and it's not one of those zip lines that ties you in with the straps but more like a ski lift where you sit.. it is $12 a ride per person, if you want to go back up it's half the price and they do offer during the day as well as sunset rides... Wandering around the ghost town full of [sedate] family adventures as two 30-somethings was only mildly interesting, but we noticed people way up high on this zipline and saw an opportunity for legit fun. It is a very short ride (one zip out and one zip back) but also inexpensive ($12 per person). It seats two people, offers neat views of the beautiful desert, and can be quite scary at the end! You can stay on and do it one more time for half price. So $18 per adult for two rides is great. I recommend it. The operator wanted to make sure we had fun. This isn't something you would drive super far for unless you were planning to enjoy the rest of the ghost town too... but this is a must-do if you go to the town! read more

Found the superstition zipline on Groupon 2 riders for $19. I couldn't get the Groupon to load so I needed to buy more tickets, but the guy honored the Groupon price and also let our 5 year old daughter and 12 year old son ride a second time for $6 a piece. The kids loved it! Of coarse the Groupon loads after we leave, but it's ok we are going back to do a couple attractions we missed and let the kids go a few more times on the zipline read more

My wife and I rode the Superstition Zipline located at the Goldfield ghost town yesterday and it was so much fun we did it twice! The ride starts off at ground level and then the cable whisks you off backwards at over 25 miles per hour to the top of a distant tower. You sit up there for about 30 seconds getting to enjoy the desert scenery and a birdseye view of Goldfield before the thrilling ride back down starts speeding over 30 miles per hour to ground level! The mechanism to stop the ride results in a swinging motion....nothing jerky or abrupt. We had a great time and we are in our 60s. We watched kids and adults alike enjoy the ride. The zipline operator, Todd, is very friendly and definitely safety conscious. read more

This is a good place to spend the afternoon with the family and see a few cool things. The Zipline ride is short but a breathtaking view Superstition Mt. as you get to the top before they release the Zipline. The mystery house is very cool especially for young kids, all in all we spent a relaxed afternoon with the family. The only thing is it can get expensive for a fam of 4. As all attractions are paid for individually. No main cover charge and it all adds up. They do have a combo pass at $18 per person but that only covers the 3 main attractions. Parking is free. I gave it 3 stars just because of the cost. read more
