Love love this dog park. Always large dogs there no matter what time we show up. I've been going there for 8 years and there was only 1 time that 1 dog among 30 dogs did not get along with others. It was a busy day at the park; mostly you can expect 10 -15 dogs In a 1 hour visit. The covered pavilions are a blessing in this Texas heat. This is an amazing dog park, and so well kept up! Note they are closed EVERY THURSDAY for cleaning and maintenance! It shows though cause this dog park is beautiful. It is so spacious and actually has 2 different parks. They have one open per day to make sure the land in each doesn't get too torn up from the dogs. They really put a lot of great thought into the park! The parking lot is huge and has lots of space to work with your dog if you need to get them focused on you before entering. There are water fountains for humans and low ones for dogs inside, and plenty of seating. Most everyone who brings a dog is very respectful and makes sure their dogs are good with others before bringing them. If you have a pup that needs to socialize or burn some energy, I highly recommend taking them here. Wow! I'm shocked at the number of four and five star reviews for this dog park. Maybe it's because it had just rained when my brothers and I were there, so everything seemed rather dreary. Dogs arrived and played with my husky, but it wasn't particularly better than the other dog parks we visited in Texas. I'm glad there's a centralized gazebo where hoomans can sit on benches and keep an eye on the pups at all times. Water fountain and poop bags... All the dog park essentials. It's also located within a bigger park area which is kind of cool. I'd love to explore what else is around here. Note to self... There is no restroom for people nearby. Unless you want to go potty with the pups. Just kidding. Seriously, don't do that. This dog park worked perfectly for my fur baby. I loved the fact the dog park is broken into two separate parks by the size of the dog. Lots of seating and dog obstacle courses. The only downside is all the dog poop left behind EVERYWHERE. read more

This is a spacious and open dog park in the Frisco area. There's a large dog section that gets pretty muddy and a small dog section that's a little more grassy. Both sections have double gates, pavilions with picnic tables, water stations and pet waste stations. The dog park is closed on Thursdays and the gate is locked for the entire day. The big thing I dislike about this dog park is the gravel road leading up to it - it's been under construction for over a year and probably destroys my car. We love this dog park!! Separate areas for the small dog (under 35) and larger dogs. The larger dog side actually has 2 areas they rotate out using to maintain grass from wear and tear. Nice large areas for the dogs to run and play. Plenty of sitting spaces for the humans that want to relax and watch their pups play. Covered area too for those hot summer days. Really cute dog park tucked away in Frisco, TX. Both large and small dog park areas are large and clean. They are closed every Thursday, for maintenance and cleaning. The only problem this park has is a problem with Theft. Last incident happened 12/15/19 (Sunday). Mother and Daughter reported Mom's purse was missing from her vehicle. Overall a really nice park. Plenty of parking, in a nice area, and a nice seating area with covered picnic tables. The park is clearly well taken care of, spacious, and all around good quality. The fences aren't rusty or cheap like you see at a lot of the Dallas area parks. There's also several different fenced in areas depending on the size of your pup. There are lots of stations with bags to pick up after your dog which is really appreciated. Also a few fountains and pretty nice, soft grass. My only issue is that the park, for the most part, is on a hill. Kind of strange and would be easier to play fetch and run around if it was on level ground. But not a huge issue. This is my most visited dog park ever. It is located off in middle of gravel road so it might be a little difficult to find. I mostly came here because it is the closest dog park from my place but I fell in love with how spacious the fenced park is and the friendly people that are regulars here. They have two different sections for big and small dogs and each of them are very spacious. Big dogs especially with plenty of trees. The small dog section doesn't have as much tree as the big section does, but it is extremely spacious compared to other small dog sections at different dog parks that I've seen. Each section has a bit of slope to it so your dog gets double the exercise when it's running around! The grasses are kept in good condition and they are definitely watered well. It's suppose to be "closed" on Thursdays but I noticed that people come on Thursdays with their dogs anyways and simply hop the fence and let other people in, so don't get discouraged to come on Thursdays! After all they only say it's closed because that's when they turn the sprinklers on so the grass may be a bit wet and the ground may be a little muddy on the big dog section. Just like many dog parks, they have water issues sometimes especially at the big dog section so I'm taking a star off. read more

After trying our fair share of dog parks when we are out of town, we had never tried our local dog park. This park is amazing, there are three areas for your pups to run, one for small dogs and two for big dogs. There were so many nice dogs and owners to talk to. When there were fights (minimal) the owners jumped in to help. There was a big spot of mud at the bottom of a hill that our dogs did enjoy rolling around in but other than that it was an amazing experience and we will be coming back! read more

This dog park is right off4th Army. Parking has not been a problem. No bathrooms though. Clean and has a separate little dog park. The other dog owners were friendly. Also, they clean up after their pups. Check this out if you are in or near the area. read more

It's an ok place for dogs. The only reason I've given this dog park a three is the people. Brought my American bully here 3-4 times and the other doges were great! Playing and having fun, but the people are stuck up! And rude. It's like everyone had a hatred for pit bulls/pit bull breeds. It was just not a good experience and I'll never be back. read more

Night time: 1 Star Does not feel safe after dark. Not sure if the lights were not on but it was dark and isolated. Noting it was down the street from a storage unit building and across the street from a water treatment plant gave it a 'serial killer hunting ground' feel. My, what a pleasant surprise. The long, painful drive to White Rock and other long-hauls were far from exciting for us. As a result, we regrettably never got around to taking our pets to the dog park. Recently, my wife picked up a scruffy puppy that was literally abandoned in a crappy part of town. As with most other abandoned pups, our little pup did not come without her challenges. For starters, major separation anxiety, major fear and apprehension of other dogs, and fear-based aggression toward people--especially strangers and kids. Needless to say, "Annie" had a bit of shaky start. So we began some pretty intense obedience training and traditional socialization to different stimuli, and she began to come along well; however, the close-quarters socialization with other dogs was seemingly impossible--until we found the Frisco Dog Park. As we entered the park, my wife and I were a bit nervous that Annie was going to go on a rampage within the confines of the large and surprisingly pleasant enclosure. We finally let her off leash and ouilla... she slowly began to warm up to her surroundings, and within minutes she was running around--playing with the other small dogs in the park. Better yet, she had opportunities to not only play with the other pups but also people of all different shapes and sizes--including kids. We absolutely loved this place. Quite clean, plenty of open space, and a nice amenities for its patrons such as tennis balls and puppy fountains. That being said, a few points of criticism: 1) Unattended kids occasionally running around without supervision. Not sure if this is as much as a "dumb parent" thing as something else, but something worth noting as anyone with common sense realizes the dangers of this. 2) Red-tail hawks. Raptors + small dogs--not a good combination. There are a pair of these that fly overhead... not so much worried about medium sized dogs, but I suspect that a tiny chihuahua or other toy breed could be at risk if one of these were to swoop down. That being said, the commotion and mingling of people with dogs would likely prevent this from ever happening. Bottom-line, we really like this place and will be back. read more

Sweet dog park. It's the only dog run in Collin County that I've been to with a small-dog park (2 acres!!) that offers acceptable sprint space for my Jack Russell. There are even impressive hills that accommodate ball-throwing that never, ever stops ... which my little punk of a Jack Russell certainly appreciates. I don't live in Frisco, and it's worth the trek. There are plenty of places to sit - and out of the sun, too, which is great. One thing I notice and appreciate about this dog park is the conscientious owners. Just for etiquette's sake, it's nice when another owner won't allow her dog to show dominant behavior like humping or herding. I also like that other dog owners will toss the ball when my dog brings it over to them - that's really sweet. Love this place. read more

Very nice dog park. Large, with a lot of seating. Of course, you have the annoying kids running around shoving their faces into strange dogs' faces, and parents not watching them. I actually saw one father let his young daughter go run over to the small dog area unsupervised which just makes me wonder how sheltered suburbia parents are when it comes to strange dogs and dog bites. For those of you with kids, keep in mind this is a dog park-- not a kids park or a petting zoo. Responsible owners come here to exercise their dogs. We have to keep a close eye on our pets, moderate their behavior, be able to recall them vocally, and leash them and remove them from the dog park if they're getting too fussy with other dogs. If you can't do the same with your kids, then you need to drop your kid off for a play date before coming to the dog park. Running, shrieking kids don't have a place here. Please be a responsible parent and keep your kid within reach and teach the kid manners like always asking the owner of a dog if it's okay to pet the dog, and also holding out a hand for it to sniff instead of glomming onto the dog's head and ears and trying to cuddle it five seconds after meeting it. That pet peeve aside, I think the only thing that could improve this dog park, is a water feature like a little pond for them to run in and sit when it's super hot, or even a little fountain. I've seen a lot of other dog parks with this and it's almost essential in a climate like this one during most of the year. The large dog section is situated on a hill, and is pretty broad, so it's perfect for working out a dog who likes to chase balls or run around with you. Also, for those who have dogs who are humping other dogs-- it is up to you, the owner, to remove your dog from the other dog. And, if your dog continues to target another dog in such a way, you should also remove your dog from the dog park. It's not just about sex, boys and girls, humping is also an indication of stress. So if your dog (especially if it's not normally a humper), is humping other dogs a lot and you can't make him or her stop, that's a pretty good sign that your dog is stressed out. Leash him up, walk him around the outside of the dog park for a little bit so s/he can get used to the smells without worrying about feeling stressed from stimulation overload, and try again another day. read more

I've been driving from Frisco down to Wagging Tail in North Dallas to get my 6 month old pup some socialization and play time. Thankfully, Ruff Range opened and it's only a 10 minute drive versus 30 minute. Overall, this park is a much welcomed addition to the Frisco area. We've been several times, and my gal Hendrix is a fan. There's a large dog side (over 25 pounds) and our side for the small dogs (25 and under). The plusses are - fairly large play area, nice grass, there is a shaded pavilion for the non canines, dog fountain, dog rinse area, and plenty of poop bags and most people seem to clean up after themselves. As always - at any dog park...be a good advocate for your dog. The visitors can make or break any dog park! I find it's safest to keep my leash on hand and wander with my dog as she roams around. I want to be able to remove her if she encounters someone she doesn't particularly get along with (that can happen you know...even with well behaved dogs...you never know). Sometimes, being a good advocate means you may have to make an unexpected & earlier than planned departure. One thing to be careful of at this dog park - occasionally people bring quite young children (I've seen toddlers) and let them roam and run around in the off leash area. I have no problem with children of any age in the dog park, but for the safety of all humans and animals - both dogs and children should be closely supervised. Seriously, I've witnessed dogs playing and chasing each other and a child about 2 years old run after and throw itself into the play tussle of small dogs. The dogs were not familiar with the child and one dog started playfully chasing and nipping at him...and the kid got scared and started crying and the parent got upset. Not really a good idea for the kids or the dogs...especially puppies that may be learning how to behave around small children. While all dogs that visit dog parks should be well behaved, dog parks are not petting zoos either. There is a proper way for people to introduce themselves to strange dogs. Dogs have varied personalities just like people, and really the dog park is for the dogs to be dogs. The folks that manage this park seem to be especially responsive to feedback - they've already made significant improvements since opening in October to the pavilions where the fountains are located. (They were creating some fun mud holes for the dogs to get good & dirty in!) I've also seen a gentleman out there on multiple occasions asking for feedback from visitors & generally making sure everything is going well. Good to know - this park is closed on Thursdays for maintenance. read more

We took our Annie to the park twice during our Texas stay. The park is well-maintained, with lots of room for dogs to run and expend energy. There is a smaller park for little dogs, separated from the big ones. There are two gates to get in, so escape artists can be thwarted! I only went once, but the park was fairly busy, maybe 10 dogs at a time. The owners are all friendly, as you expect with dog people! Annie enjoyed running (sprinting), sniffing, and chasing the dozens of balls that seem to reproduce themselves in the park. There is also a watering station, so the dogs can catch a drink after chasing each other around. read more

We take our pups here often to socialize on the weekends. The park is pretty small compared to the other dog parks we've been to, but this is the only dog park (I believe) in Frisco. There is plenty of parking space, but it does get crowded some days. The park is split into two sections; one for the larger dogs and one for the smaller pups. They have stations for puppy clean up bags, but only one covered sitting area with two benches. Because the dog park for the smaller dogs is fairly small, the pups tend to relieve themselves everywhere and those areas need to be hosed down or deodorized often. Unfortunately they do not do that here so it can get a bit smelly at times. Wished there were more covered places for dog owners to sit and a little more maintenance from the city. Besides that, the pups seem to like coming here. Other folks and their dogs are nice. TIP: Please keep an eye on your canine friend and clean up after them. Community rule numero uno. read more

The bigger dogs have a massive yard as Well but we stayed on the smaller side. I love how all of the owners mingle together and watch the dogs play. Cash & Bella are regulars in the big dog park! Clean & friendly. Tucked off the main drag but easy to get to. Parking can get crowded on weekends but has never been a reason to stop going. Separate areas for small dogs under 35lbs, and big dogs over 35lbs! Closed on Thursdays for maintenance, but some of us regulars still need to go. Occasionally run out of doggie bags & humans need to be a little more tidy of their dogs but again, not a reason to stop going. Plenty of room for the dogs to run, play socialize, fetch balls and Frisbees, humans to sit. No swim area but good shade for hot Texas days. What would I like to see improved... What a spacious, well-kept dog park! I was so happy to find this place when we moved to Frisco, and had a chance to try it last weekend. There are separate areas for large and small dogs. I can't speak for the large dog area, but the small dog area was very clean. The grass is much better maintained than the dog park at White Rock Lake (probably because they close this park every Thursday for maintenance). There is a water fountain with a special spout just for the pups, which is nice. There is also a shaded area with picnic tables for the humans; plenty of seating was available, even on an unseasonably cool morning. The dog owners generally seemed responsible. The parking lot is on the small side, but when it's full there is a grassy area that people turn into an overflow lot. Excellent dog park! read more

Everything is bigger in texas. Except this dog park. There isn't enough room to get my lab up to full speed. The park is built on a steep decline. The latches on the gates are great. Easy to use. Friendly people. Clean. Just very small. Very very small. So much undeveloped land right around it, I not sure why they would make this so small on a steep slope. I'll look for another Park but I would bring him back here for some socializing. Beware of the drivers in the lot. They have no concern about other people or dogs in the lot. My only complaint is that it was built on an awkward hill, so it makes playing fetch with my Labs tricky. Love this place & enjoy most of the people except the ones that refuse to pick up after their dog even when you tell them. You know who you are lady But I need to say this................... ***BEWARE*** someone possibly has kennel cough....we were there last saturday and by Sunday night 1 dog was vomiting so much we had to go to emergency and then the 2nd dog caught it. Very contagious! If your dog's coughing stay home. Vets aren't cheap and it's so sad when your fur baby is sick and helpless.
