My go-to park for my senior gal. It's quiet a lot of the day, but picks up in the evening on weekends. Sometimes we have the entire small dog area to ourselves. I have a senior gal who likes to just run and enjoy the park. This place is way less crowded than others we've been to and ALWAYS well maintained. It does close with rain, and often the day after but calling the weather line before heading out prevents disappointment for the pup. Overall, my favorite park for her! read more

The large dog pens are big enough for throwing balls and frisbees even when crowded. The interstate overhead results in the area always being partially shaded which is nice. Restrooms are available. Water fountains for dogs are available. Doggy bags/bins are provided to pick up poop. The park seems well maintained. Some dogs are usually at the park at all times during nice days. Many dogs are often at the park in the afternoon and evening hours. The small dog area has ample seating. In the large dog area, seating is available on a couple benches in the front and on a rock formation in the back. Everything is nice, except it's a little tricky finding the single entrance to the park. Drive south on the access road of North Central Expy(75) from Plano Parkway. The turn-in to the park is on the right as you pass under George Bush Freeway. If you miss the turn, you'll need to circle around and try again. read more

Visited this dog park for the first time , we were excited and nervous at the same time, our dog is still in training and has a hard time with lots of outdoor distractions but did good, there was only one other dog in the evening we went. Our doggy really enjoyed it and we are happy to see the excitement. It was hard to see around the park, we had our phone flashlight but not many lights were working, really need addl lighting on the north side of the park, maybe under the highway or next to the fence, since it was difficult to see and I was running with our dog, I of course had the privilege of stepping in dog poop. How disgusting, do people not understand the need to care for their dogs and pick up after them? It wasn't just the poop I stepped in, unfortunately there was plenty more all over. It was like running though a collision course, please folks take responsibility and pick up the mess. Then when we were leaving, a Chevy truck with an LED strip under the tailgate sped right into the parking lot and it looked like they were going to stop by our car but when they saw us coming out of the park they hightailed it out of the parking lot, a bit concerning in the evening when it's dark, I guess our car was a temptation for crooks to break in....please add more lighting or if there are lights, not many we're working....please fix them. read more

What a great space! I took my dog, Bailey, there today to burn through some of her energy. It worked like a charm. She enjoyed playing in the small dog area with another dog. The park is easy to access, has lots of parking and is super well maintained. The dog water fountains were a huge plus. I also appreciated that they supplied dog waste bags. Great dog park especially if you have a larger dog!! (More space) There's plenty of running room and most dogs are great here. As you can see from some of the people who left 1 star reviews you get an occasional bad boy but it's rare and I come here every day and have never seen an ACTUAL fight just some growling and very light snapping. I have been waiting to take Baxter here for months, and I am so glad that they finally opened! A Dog Park on this side of town has been in need for a while. It is located directly under George Bush and 75. There is not a big sign in front so just look for the driveway to the right as you are heading south on the side street. There are 2 designated areas for big dogs, an area for small dogs, and an area for disabled dogs. There is also an area that you can rent for parties. There is ample parking, but as with most dog parks, it may overflow at some point if you go during a busy time. Oh, and they have restrooms! I don't see myself using them, but they looked nice and at least dog owners have the option. The grass was nicely grown, and there are a couple of benches for owners to sit. One suggestion may be to have a shaded area for people to sit. Most dog parks do not have this, but it would definitely help during the hot summer days. read more

Brand new facility with separate areas for each size and sitting areas in each. Water fountains for dogs and owners in each area as well. Along with a restroom which is a great feature. Highway overhead provides shade in the summer which is also nice good location off 75 and George Bush. Plenty of lighting for a late evening outing and dog stations in each area too! Pretty cool to have a dog park in an urban environment like this under the 75/PGBT interchange. Pretty basic, but a good amount of room. As with any dog park, you have issues with people refusing to put their dogs in the different areas based on their weight. We all know those same people are the ones who are the most vocal and cause chaos by screaming and yelling when larger dogs interact with the small ones, but that's expected at this point... Anyways, nothing bad to say about the park itself. Nice location, usually shaded to some degree thanks to the highways above, and usually isn't overly busy. Our two fur babies, Barkie Bailey and Princess, had a great time when we took them to Bush Central Barkway to make new friends and play. Barkway provided lots of play companions when we were there but it was not what I would call crowded or packed. Traffic noise was not a problem for us and the lack of business or residential development surrounding the dog park was a plus in my opinion. Take it from this pet sitter, if you and your fur babies live near or are traveling by Bush Central Parkway you owe it to yourself and them to stop and let them make some new friends and play for awhile. read more

It's nice to have a dog park so centrally located. While there is plenty of room for dogs to run around, don't venture back to the back half of the park. It is COVERED in dog poop, despite the city ordinance that you must clean up after your pet. Yes, even in a dog park. I've never understood why folks think someone else should clean up after them...or their pet. And you know who they are, nonchalantly looking away while their pet poops, trying hard to pretend they have no idea. {Put on your big girl/boy pants and be a responsible pet owner.} It's bad at this park. Perhaps they need better poop patrol or they need to clean it themselves more frequently. I'd love to take my dogs more often, but the amount of poop is not only disgusting but unsafe, as well. read more

ALL GRASS clean dog park with multiple areas to separate different size/social skills, etc. my Dog and I love coming here. You will not be disappointed and the patrons seem to be nice as well. I'm not certain but from my experiences the dogs seem healthy and not strays/homeless/etc. we really enjoy this park! We recently moved up to Mckinney and still drive all the way down ( about 30 mins) bc of the grass. McKinney and Plano/Frisco have some nice parks but they do not circulTe the play areas like this park does and therefore there is no grass lefts so it's a poop filled muddy mess each time we have visited. This dog park is great! It's very conveniently located under an intersection of freeways so it's shady and private. There is PLENTY of space for big dogs, little dogs, and everyone with them. I like going here because it's conveniently close to both my work and home and there is ALWAYS a dog there for my puppy to play with. The park is well kept. It has cut grass, multiple poop bag stations, a drinking fountain for pets and humans, and benches for sitting. We used to love taking our Golden almost everyday to this park - he's a sweet, VERY submissive 14 month old pupper (been going since he got the all clear at 7 months) and nearly everyone was so nice if he forgot training. I really appreciated the other owners that would remind him "no jumping!" and I think he's better behaved after coming here as a puppy. Unfortunately there have been A LOT of poorly trained or aggressive dogs and absent owners lately. There is at least one or two dogs that have to assert their dominance and will growl and snap and hump at every dog entering the park. There is poop everywhere. The water is turned off in fall/winter and hardly anyone brings water for their dogs, so when I pour some out for my dog, he gets shoved aside and growled/snapped at. Look, I know I have a submissive dog (he immediately flops onto his back at the first sign of dominance from almost ANY dog), so he's probably going to get humped and occasionally snapped at. I'm not mad about that; that's just dogs being dogs. I am mad that you are not in control of your untrained, aggressive dog, are off on your phone, and then refuse to get involved when yours is biting my dog until he's continually yelping. So no, we won't be back. read more

This dog park is unique in the fact it is underneath the PGBT. Other than that, there isn't much. There are separate areas based on dog type, including small dogs, large dogs, and less active dogs (senior, limited mobility). The areas for each one are pretty small compared to other dog parks we frequent in Plano, such as Bob Woodruff which is nearby. This seems like a good place for a quick trip for your dogs but not really a place to stay too long. read more

Aside from the clueless parents, this is a nice little park tucked under the Bush tollway and 75. Surprisingly, the freeway noise was hardly noticeable. They have two areas for large dogs (30 lbs and over) one for small dogs (under 30 lbs) and even another for dogs that are either recovering from a surgery or are older and aren't as nimble as they once were. Another bonus is this park actually has restrooms for the patrons. The people I've met so far are nice and it's kinda cool to swap training, feeding or health tips with them. Been to this park 3 times during weekends and right after work during peak hours and there aren't ever enough dogs in the small dog section. Only one dog had been there each time we went. Today was the same. It's so windy without any trees so if you're worried you may be cold. Trust me, you will be. Very strange place for a dog park under numerous highways and bridges. First time here! I don't remember the last time I was in a dog park that had such nice grass or was so efficiently partitioned. Very large and has a section for any categories of dogs imagined even sedentary. I really like that benches and seating areas are all stone or logs, makes it more natural. I love that this park has an area for small dogs, large dogs, and less active dogs. So far I have been there five times and each time it has been fairly clean, the fact that you are under the highway is very unnoticeable and provides excellent shading. You can rent out a side as well! read more

The drive was a bit confusing but not too bad after a couple times. Very clean and spacious dog park! The park is divided into different sections to best group our furry friends based on size. Multiple water fountains available for when the dogs get thirsty. I just kinda wish there was a bit more light during the evenings because it gets a bit more darker than I would like. read more

Despite being under the highway, it's a pretty quiet dog park. It is well kept and very clean. There is a restroom outside the play area if you need to step out. I like how there is a water fountain for the dogs and enough space to run around. There are a few areas where you can sit (bench, rock) but generally you will be standing around. It's not overly crowded which is nice. read more

I have two fur children and this is the closest dog park to me so I've been here many times. Pros: -Plenty of parking - I have never not gotten a spot, even on the weekend -Two areas for large dogs - they alternate between them to prevent the grass from getting too worn out -They have actual restrooms, not just porta potties -Dog water fountains available -Most of the people I have met here have been very nice and have been responsible pet owners in terms of watching their pets and cleaning up after them. Cons: -Difficult to get to - it's located off an access road to the highway, basically underneath where George Bush and 75 intersect -Could do with some more places for people to sit -They turn off the water to the fountains (and I'm assuming to the bathrooms too) during the colder months to prevent freezing, so bring water for your dogs during those times. Pro or Con, depending on your opinion: -Located under the highway - some people really hate being under the highway and think it's loud and weird, the noise is only mildly bothering to me and the highway actually provides great shade during the summer, however there are a couple of the pillars that support the highway in the middle of the dog park so sometimes it's hard to see your dog if they run behind one of them -No pond/water area to play in - my dogs couldn't care less about water, but I know a lot of dogs love it (NorthBark dog park has a pond area if your dog falls into the latter category) -Normally not very busy - there have been a couple of times during the week I have gone earlier in the day and been the only one there, my dogs will just run around and play with each other and chase tennis balls so they have fun no matter what (plus they are a lot easier to keep track of when there is only a handful of other dogs) but if you want a ton of other dogs to interact with, you might want to go to another park or visit here during a peak time, like the middle of Saturday or Sunday Both of my dogs absolutely love the place, so I'll keep coming back. read more

This is a pretty good dog park. They have areas for small, large, and elderly dogs. Fences are high enough that you don't have to worry about your dog jumping over them (unless your pup is a freak athlete). It's built below the PGB/75 overpass which is a really smart use of space. Unfortunately this also means some areas get little to no sunlight so there are grassless patches which get very muddy after it rains and take a long time to dry out. read more

This place is awesome! Huge grass field separated for larger and smaller dogs, fountains and bags for your dogs potty. The only thing I will say is if it rains the park gates close that day and the following day it seems and the water fountains have remained off for quite some time now. I like this dog park. There are places to sit, it's kept pretty clean and George Bush helps keep the place shaded on hot days.

Enjoyed a visit with my 13 year olds led schnauzer and 6 month old goldendoodle. Due to the size and she difference one of us went with each into the different play areas which didn't go over well with the dogs. Soon I saw other small dogs in the large dog play area so we reunited the two. I really enjoyed the extra shade from the freeway above and since this was our first visit brought our own poop bags but found they had them available. Neither really enjoyed drinking water from the moving fountain so couldn't stay too long. Will really enjoy coming back when the weather is not so hot. read more
