The first thing I noticed was the rich smell of BBQ. The Restaurant was clean and the Rudy's employees were really hospitable, they welcomed us in and made us feel more than just another customer. Probably the BEST Rudy's location I have been too! Primarily for the service provided by Sarah and Ivan! They were super friendly and greeted us enthusiastically and asked if this was our first time. It was my wife's first time so Ivan provided some samples. The brisket, baby back ribs and turkey were excellent! We went to a highly rated bbq place in San Antonio and honestly can't hold a candle to Rudy's. You can never go wrong at Rudy's. Thank you Sarah and Ivan for making my wife's first visit memorable. Don't let the rating fool you here. I'm glad I had a local recommend this place despite the yelp rating. It seems the only bad reviews here are based on ordering process. I had no issues with the process and appreciated the explanation and samples while ordering. The moist brisket was superb, excellent flavor and tenderness, the prime rib was also superb and cooked to perfection (first time ever having prime rib at a bbq restaurant) and the pork ribs were great. Their sauce has a delicious uniqueness to it with a kick too. I was very impressed with my first time at a Rudy's and can't believe this is a chain. Bring this to North Carolina please! read more

People incredible! Good even better! Moist brisket is Outstanding! No knife required! Don't "ruin" with sauces--sauces are great--plain brisket is better! Beans are great and spiced perfectly. Half jalapeño sausage is great, good kick on first bite but, calms and is very enjoyable. Half sausage is too much for one person unless only meal. Tea superlative and very fresh. Ambiance is outstanding--good music not too loud, lots of TVs to watch with CC. PEOPLE HERE ARE GREAT AND ATTENTIVE! 12 out of 10 overall! BTW, they list meats by half pound but you can buy more or less (watched one person order by the slice). If you wonder about a meat ask for a taste. I did and learned Turkey was much better than I thought it would be--moist and delightfully spiced! It will be hard to beat moist brisket though. All meat great! They take group orders in the customer line! Takes forever to get to order station. Need to make them go to front pick up area to order!!! Today,if you take time to go in a reataurant or grocery store, you have to wait for those not visiting or collection carts!!! Catering ought to be separate service locations!!!! read more

It's okay. The good: ordering is easy, pickup easy if ordered ahead of time, the turkey breast is great! Ribs were good. The bad: brisket okay at best, tons of people, not cheap, parking and walking past all the people in line to pick up a preorder doesn't seem like a good system. Had breakfast a few days later. Easily Best barbecue in town. The people there was amazing and the whole vibe was awesome.

Service was friendly and fast but honestly the food was what I kind of expect from Rudy's, it's ok but not great. Very unflavorful creamed corn, pulled pork was kind of cold and just ok. My husband got the moist brisket and it wasn't just moist it was basically all fat, barely any actual meat. Will probably give it another shot since it is so close by but honestly there is better BBQ in Midland like Half Acre. read more

The restaurant and the way they do the ordering was so bad, we didn't even stay to try the food. When I go to a barbecue restaurant, I would like multiple kinds of meat.
