As you walk in your nose is greeted with some amazing smells. I fully expected to only give a 4 star rating because I didn't not see an option got crunchy tacos. However, the tacos were hands down the most flavorful and delicious tacos I have ever had. I love hot salsas so the red and green sauces hit the spot. However, they are probably to hot for most people. I did not visit the restroom but the common area was clean and pleasant. We got our good Togo and the staff apologized for the wait, which we didn't think was long at all. I went around lunch time and it's a little bit outside of downtown Midland. It was pretty packed but there wasn't a line and they had a few empty tables. I've had my dose of authentic tacos in Dallas and I definitely thought this place was as authentic as it gets! I wish they had a flour option but I know that's not how real tacos are. I got the asada and it was so good! Just the right amount of seasoning and with the sauce they have at the center of the restaurant added the right amount of spice. They constantly come and put out freshly cut cilantro, lettuce, etc... whenever they run low. It came with 4 tacos and I was definitely stuffed. The parking lot was a little weird. I barely had time to open Yelp and food was ready. I ordered the Special (order of 5 different tacos). Corn tortillas, all different flavors and adequate portion size. I stopped at salsa bar: 1) Chili Verde or Green salsa (the best of all - perfect warmth in the mouth and perfect companion to Tacos al Pastor). 2) Chili Roja or spicy Red Salsa- fiery hot and great with anything. 3) Guacamole salsa - beautiful flavor that preserves nuance of avocado yet has a small warmth. 4) Sour Cream salsa (delicate and perfect) Also had the freshest limes around. We've been coming here for years. For his 11th birthday my son wanted to come to Super Taco, over literally any other place in Midland. The tacos, and burritos are great, and I've gone to taco shops from Midland, to Austin, to Colorado to California. Service, perfect. If the salsa bar is missing something, just let them know. As a native Midlander I take offense to another review suggesting there were "not family friendly activities" taking place within site of this location. Jay is a racist, plain and simple. I'm white and have lived on this side of town, they aren't rich, most aren't white, but they are good people and have a lot to offer. I have never in my many years seen anything remotely illegal on Florida street, and as a white guy, I wouldn't be afraid to walk down it any time of day or night. Jay's comment is racist and absurd. The rice was good but they didn't serve beans which is why its only 4 stars instead of 5. The place is always hopping, lots of to go orders and people going in but very easy to get a table. A considerable amount of time has gone by since I was here, but whenever I travel and meet someone from Dallas, as happened to me recently, I mention this unique venue and the reactions I receive from locals match up with my perception as a visitor. First, this is a bizarre place. A giant car wash that doubles as a taco stand with about four windows as I recall. They all have lines, and for good reason. The tacos are sublime, street style, mouth watering, and what makes them good is sheer volume. Great tacos are not sitting around waiting to be sold. They're getting cranked out like mad and everything is hot and fresh. Moist, succulent, savory meats, fresh cilantro and onions cut by handed, not the bagged up crap, good selection of sauces, and the limes are fresh, not some of those rocks some places serve. It's a destination. If I had a layover in one of two Dallas airports and a few extra hours I'd be grabbing some kind of public transportation and coming here. I was a little skeptical at first not being from Odessa, I made the drive over went inside and was blown away how nice and clean it was inside. Whatever sour cream type white sauce they had at the buffet/bar saved them enough to make them edible. The drink was almost $3 which is super pricey and also since I'm fat I got the Hawaiian punch sugary drink. The drink was extremely watered down. The only good thing I'll say is the place was really clean (a girl was cleaning tables as we ate even), and our order was correct and brought out pretty quickly.
