On a recommendation I called Rudy's ext. And explained my problem and not my personal ones , no my small rodents and bugs one that's putting my 3 tenants on edge and me as well cause mice really bug me out and I was not trying make a job..I called , they came at time and date we agreed on and the exterminator told me in simple English what was causing the problems and after inspecting the 3 family building he saw no holes or anything that major but he did tell me that the construction nearby with all the noise and digging , etc , was the reason for the little buggers visits. He put different types of glue traps and non glue traps and advise me that poison was not recommended due to the domestic pets in building and nearby . Fast forward to present and 3 mice caught on trap with a bunch of harmless looking small insects . Very good professional service , reasonable rates and and follow up visit next month is in the calendar for making sure everyone is pest free in their apts and in apt in general . I have used Rudy's Exterminating Company for a long time. My late mother used the company when Tony's farther was still in the business. I used them on and off when my mother was not around. However for the last 4 years I bring them in every 4 months due to the street shacks that have been set up by the local Astoria restaurants. My landlord wasn't able to get "his guy" to come for another week, so I called Rudy's and was pleasantly surprised by the most helpful/personable woman on the other end. She took my info, made me laugh through this whole ordeal, and I heard from Tony within a hour of speaking with her. Tony was able to come the next day. Tony saved my sanity!! For the first time in over 70 years of living in my house (a 2 family), I was told I may have BEDBUGS in my bedroom! I prayed it wasn't the case but my worst nightmare came true! Tony came over, thoroughly inspected every room in the house and thankfully, it was isolated to only my bedroom. So unfortunately I had another sighting of a mouse even after closing up what we thought were all the holes. Rudy's Exterminating came out the next day and we discussed more options on how we can get rid of these pests--glue boards just weren't doing it, they were too smart for them. Tony was great! For the first time ever I had to deal with a rat. While born in NYC I guess I can now really consider myself a true New Yorker. I got Tony on the phone and I appreciated that he asked me a lot of questions. That shows me that he is assessing and I do that in my own business. He checked all over the apartment---turned the coaches up to check underneath and within, the bottom of the over/stove, corners, closets, under the bed and other furniture.
