If you're flying between Ohare and LGA you can pretty much guarantee a delay. And that's what happened on our recent trip to LGA. We arrived exhausted and hungry so I was happy I had arranged for Rudy's to pick us up. Our driver was waiting for us in the car services pickup and easy to spot thanks to an orange light on the roof. My kids were beyond impressed (as was I) with this sweet Mercedes Benz equipped with massage chairs, wifi and more. Fancy schmancy. We spent a lot of time in traffic making our way to CT, but our driver couldn't have been nicer and very patient. Fortunately, our trip back to LGA on Monday morning was much smoother and we only spent 30 min in a Rudy's car then, but my kids still appreciated all the bells and whistles. And I appreciated not having to navigate the roads of NY in a rental car. Per my request they also provided a booster seat for my 8 year old. One ride from LGA to Darien, CT was over $200 so certainly pricey, but it was a great experience and I'd be likely to use them again. read more

Car was clean. Driver was rude and sarcastic and actually accused us of being late. (The driver did "warm" up after a while in the car but the first 15 minutes were awkward.) The plane was on time and we walked directly from the departing gate to the ride pick up area. Further we had no checked baggage. We wasted no time getting to the ride pick up area. We paid a premium price for unnecessary aggravation. We will take Uber in the future. The Rudy's app has been deleted. read more

I have used Rudys for approximately 30 years. I have had friends sign up and use their services for a least ten years. Now I am done. The issue is not related to transportation services for the most part I am very satisfied. The issue for me is the front office and the rude condescending attitude. I had a mistake on a bill (yes eventually corrected ) but the scam in my opinion is either ignorance or dishonest. Was it an honest mistake, I don't think so. After thirty years of approximately 8-10 trips yearly I have lost confidence with their integrity. It's sad to separate after thirty years but I can no longer deal with the front office. read more

This used to be a good service. Used them for years. Now the last two trips were disasters. First trip the driver was crazy- drove on the shoulder and almost killed us. Engine light on the whole way. This most recent trip they never showed up. Finally came after 1.5 hour delay. Driver accelerated every 10 seconds- almost sick by the time we got to the city. On the way back the driver ignored our route request and got us stuck in 45 minutes traffic. Never again. read more

We have been using Rudy's for several years now to visit the in-laws and these guys are truly 5 stars. They are unfailingly prompt and courteous. If you want to make conversation they will make conversation. If you want to sit in silence, you won't hear a peep. There's a plug in the backseat for charging your device. Cars always look new and have no odor. I am super sensitive to cigarette smoke and never have an issue with Rudy's cars or drivers. They monitor your flight so if it's delayed on arrival, the driver will be there when you land. You don't need to do anything. The text to locate feature is a welcome addition (previously you had to call dispatch) and makes pickup a snap. After a debacle several years ago with a shared van service that shall remain nameless, this is well worth the money to know we won't be left stranded! read more

I'm not seeing many recent reviews, so let me report: Professional, reasonably price and prompt. Our driver Stanley picked up our group as we headed from the UWS to attend a family wedding at a venue near Westchester Airport. Traffic is always a crapshoot, and the pickup time was settled during a pleasant and professionally handled call to Rudy's limo offices to reserve the ride. I had shopped enough to know the amount quoted was reasonable (quotes include a 20%gratuity, so be aware), and the level of knowledge and professionalism displayed on the call made me comfortable that Rudy's is a quality operation. Overall a good experience with a clean and nearly new extended Suburban vehicle. Upholstery seemed new, no weird odors (frequent ride share folks know what I'm talking about), and a smartly dressed driver gave us the feeling that this evening wedding was starting out in a manner consistent with the suits and fancy dresses our group was wearing. Pickup on both ends was on time and the ride home was pleasant and safe. What else matters? read more

We visit family in the Stamford area frequently flying into Newark or La Guardia. I used to use Uber but, as their rates increased, I shifted to Rudy's for the peace of mind concerning reliability and safety. It may be a bit of a premium over Uber, but it's worth every cent. Rudy's office team is great to work with in scheduling rides, helping estimate pick up times and handling special requests (like car seats). Rudy's drivers are great -- professional, friendly, knowledgable and completely dependable. We're sticking with Rudy's...and highly recommend them. read more

My family and I went to the Dominican Republic August of 2018 and used Rudy to take us from Stamford, Ct to JFK Airport. The driver was on time however, his driving was horrible. We didn't think we would make it to the airport without getting into an accident. When we finally arrived, I asked the driver if he would be the one picking us up when he returned and he replied, no. Upon our return, much to our surprise, he in fact, was our driver again and the driving again was horrible. The reason why I am writing this review is because I am seeing so many tv ads for Rudy and felt I had to say something. Also, I would use Rudy again because overall, the driving was the only part of the experience that was unsatisfactory. I would have to ensure that there would be a different driver. read more

Followed Covid protocols to a tee, and were eager to help carry everything. In my short experience, they have been punctual, friendly, courteous and assuring. Maybe if the operator was focused and not talking to someone else while taking my reservation they would have gotten it right. No offer for future discount. Trying to get out of NY during the blizzard of 1/18 was a nightmare but the professionals at Rudy's made it a lot easier. the first try to JFK, we were not called or emailed by the airline but the driver thought to call his office before they drove us to the airport. the flights, cancelled and even the airport was closed. second try a few days later, back to JFK to find after leaving the limo that Avianca was down for the count with no internet. we called Rudy's and were lucky enough to have a different driver in the vicinity to take us back to Ct. the drivers are excellent behind the wheel and will do their best to make you comfortable, always a little early so you don't have to worry. they may be a little more expensive than other car services but they are competent and always looking out for their customers. read more

I used Rudy's for the first time this month, back and forth to NJ - four trips - where my Mom was first put in hospice and subsequently passed. I had way too much on my heart and mind to have to worry about who was driving the car I got into. Rudy's came through. The drivers were all on time, professional, courteous. Decided to use Rudy's after a recent recommendation. We scheduled pick up and drop off service to and from the airport for a weekend business trip. The car was on time for our initial pick up to the airport, but upon departure, the driver proceed to get on the wrong ramp toward our destination, and my co-worker was forced to correct him. Last time I checked, JFK was southbound of Fairfield County, not northbound. Our return trip was an even bigger nightmare. After getting our luggage, we were forced to go on a manhunt for our driver. After calling repeatedly and FINALLY getting in touch with dispatch, I was basically yelled at for not being able to locate the on-site driver and vehicle. A simple phone call from the driver to our provided phone number as promised could have saved a lot of time and aggravation on both sides. As a result, the driver was in a mood, the passengers were in a mood, and a lot of unnecessary discomfort came along for the ride home. And to top things off, during the drive home, the driver swerved several times, and from my co-worker's perspective, looked as though he was possibly falling asleep at the wheel! We drove over the grooved alert barrier at one point, startling myself, my co-worker, and the apparently sleeping driver! It may have been 1 in the morning, but there is no excuse. Drivers need to not only be knowledgeable of where they are going, but AWAKE! Never again. Our company will be using other means for transport in the area. Do yourself a favor and rent a car, or have a friend or family member drive you. read more

However I fail to understand the rationale and justification for a "fuel surcharge" in November of 2015 when prices approach half of what they were in the summer of 2014. I booked a trip for January 19th for a ride to the place I was having a colonoscopy. It wasn't far from where I live. I was told the price would be $102.78. I was never told that the price was for only one way. A couple of days later the credit card that I used was declined, so I gave them another credit card to use. They put the charge through for the $102.78, so I assumed that was the total charge. Next thing I knew the charge on my previous card was processed as $102.78. I called Rudy's and spoke to billing about it and they said I wouldn't be charged twice, so I've been waited for it to be credited back to my account. I emailed Rudy's and asked about the charge and I told them that I was never told that the trip was going to cost $205.56. That amount was never told to me at all!! If so, I would have found an alternative mode of transportation!!! They are very misleading. I will NEVER use them again or recommend them to anyone!!! read more

We hired Rudy's to take our group to a concert. The driver drove extremely fast and dangerous on the way there -- luckily there was traffic. On the way home we had the most horrifying experience as he was swerving all over the road, almost rear ended two cars, missed an exit and cut across 2 lanes of traffic! We were scared for our lives and demanded he pull over at the rest stop where we all exited the vehicle and hired an Uber for the ride home. I called to speak with the owner three times and received NO return phone call. Disputed charges with Amex and Rudy's had the nerve to fight for every dollar here. As a company owner I can say this was the worst service and treatment by a company ever. I would clearly NEVER recommend this company. read more

Excellent! The car arrived ten minutes early which is always good. My mother is 97 and uses a walker. The driver could not have been more pleasant and helpful in assisting us with getting her into the vehicle and safely buckled in. It took several minutes but there was no hurry on his part. As he was getting ready to leave I thanked him and he smiled and said "Don't worry. Precious cargo!" Mom got back to Manhattan very quickly and loved the ride. The Suburban, by the way, was immaculate - if you told me he had just gotten it from the dealer's that morning I would not have been surprised. Also, the reservationist was very professional and friendly, after I paid by credit card I wanted to be sure that nothing would be required for Mom to do and she said "All your mother has to do is let the driver close the door and enjoy the ride". I will definitely use them in the future when I need a car and driver in the tri-state area. read more
