The super burritos are out of this world! My wife introduced me to this place and it's the best burrito I've ever had.

This place......WOW! 5 stars is not enough...Food is dynamite. I like the tacos. Carne asada is so good. I don't know what they marinade it in but the flavor is so good. The green sauce they use is tomatillo and it makes their tacos even better. Prices are fair. They are not shy when it comes down to the amount of food they serve up. We stayed until they closed. I was really impressed with how they cleaned the kitchen. They don't cut corners. They had no idea I was watching them which makes my review even more impactful. I will provide pictures. Tried Rudy's for the first time as our usual taco Tuesday stop was closed for the day. I was very surprised! I was half expecting it to be bad, but the tacos were really good! I tried the carnitas, carne Asada and shredded beef tacos. Out of the three the one I liked the most was the beef. I would definitely come back!! I also love that this place is small and local. read more

This little Mexican eatery is tucked away in a strip mall. I only stumbled upon it by having to go to Albertsons. I wasn't terribly hungry but I can never pass up a taco joint. The interior was decorated nice and authentic. They even had futbol playing on a TV which several of the patrons (including myself) were excited about. I opted for one taco, the Carne Asada Supreme Soft Taco. The meat was perfectly seasoned and juicy. Loaded with cheese, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. I topped this bad boy with their homemade hot sauce which was muy bien! I washed it all down with an ice cold lime Jarritos on the front patio. Was definitely a good choice to stop in. I may be back tomorrow for a burrito! read more

12/8/2019 - We were really surprised today because we saw that Rudy's had such high ratings we wanted to give it a try. We ordered our food, the enchilada entrees (both chicken and cheese) there was no red sauce available so we settled on the green. I ordered a side of refried beans. We then looked for a clean table to sit at and out of probably 6 or 7 tables which were all dirty, we chose the LEAST dirty. (Later another couple came in and did the same thing we had just done.) There were three workers in the restaurant and one stopped to have HIS meal (and sat at one of the dirty tables) rather than cleaning up the dining room for the patrons. On to our food. I saw one of the ladies bring a 'steaming' bowl of green sauce from the back to pour over our enchiladas, it looked like it had been heated up in a microwave because it didn't come off the stove. When our plates were served the cheese inside and on top of the enchiladas wasn't even melted and the beans were lukewarm. My husband sent his plate back to be nuked in the microwave in order to have it hot. The food was fair, the beans had a good flavor and would have been better had they been hot with a little cotija or something on them. There's no garnish and nothing that makes the plate visually appealing. Hopefully they were having an off day, we don't know because we won't be back to find out. read more

Not only is the food amazing, but the service is outstanding!!! They treat their customers like family.

My first time visiting was last week. The order was so good that I went back two days later and called in the order. The cashier check it and it had ton's of guacamole that I didn't asked for. The cashier told the lady cook that order didn't come with guacamole and she got snippy with him and potentially with the fact she had to correct it. The order that had to be corrected was cold when I got home verses the one that was correct. Thought I found a good thing a minute away from my home. I will never return. read more

Ordered through Door Dash and they are always inconsistent in their orders. Sometimes hardly any Jalapeño sauce and other times a lot. I ordered extra sauce this time just in case and was charged for it. They give me green sauce instead of jalapeño sauce. Too frustrated to order from here again. Has to be better options out there. read more

Asked for a hard taco and got a Old El Paso taco out of the box. Now you would assume a Mexican restaurant like this they would fill a fresh corn tortilla with shredder beef and fry it up, so was disappointed when I saw them grab a boxed taco shell. The machaca shredded beef was good in the taco. I also got the enchilada plate but was very disappointed as had asked for cheese and onion and they only put cheese. The sauce was just bland with no flavor. Tasted like just cayenne and tomato paste thrown together; bleh! Luckily I had some Macayo's hot sauce at home to add some flavor otherwise would have gone directly into trash. read more

However , my most recent trip began with somewhat of a disappointment as I ordered my favorite "fish burrito" ( $8.49) their fryer was malfunctioning so I was forced to order the " shrimp burrito "($8.49) the wait for my burrito was quite a while , however , the end result left me mostly satisfied as well as a little tummy ache . This is a review of their Breakfast burrito. In short , bacon wasn't crispy, potatoes were bland and hot sauce tasted weird. Regarding the bacon again, it was all pre-made in a warmer with bacon pieces mixed in with the egg. And there was no cheese. All for the not worth it price of ~$7.00 after taxes. I think I paid extra to have potatoes. The pro- closest breakfast burrito to me. I would have given less stars if I was able to just review this burrito, but I don't think this experience is indicative of the rest of what they do. They can fix this review if they had whole pieces of crispy bacon, some seasoned crispy potatoes, sharp cheddar cheese and worked on their salsa recipe. I would then happily take down this review and be a loyal customer. read more

The worst service ever!!! The restaurant was 85 degrees or hotter inside. The grill vent wasn't working well so the entire space was filled with smoke and steam. They didn't have straws, napkins or water cups. The food was acceptable in a better atmosphere. The staff was rude and unaccommodating. We were a party of five and our food came out one at a time over a 30 minute period. We didn't think that eating at 6pm would be so rough. The seating was horrible and the tables were filthy. DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT PAIN AND SUFFERING!!!!!!!! Continuation. While sitting at our sweatshop table we saw 3 people being back to go orders because they were wrong. Great work rudys staff. Came in here because of all the rave reviews and I was thoroughly disappointed. I made it a point to come here to try the 99¢ fish tacos and they were gross. The "fish" were these breaded but flavorless overcooked sticks wrapped in stale tortillas. Even the salsas here were bland. I may come back to try the asada but it'll probably be a long while. But I gave them an extra star for having Jarritos & Mexican Bottled Coke. read more

This place was so so. The ladies working there were very unfriendly. No smiles, no greeting, they were as bland as their food. My husband even commented after that sauces & beans taste like they came from a can. As for my street tacos the meat was bland I had to really poor on the salsa. If they are good with burritos, they should stick to burritos. Pozole always has at least lettuce, oregano, 1 whole lime, tostadas. Meet should be either chicken or pork and chile pikin for hotness. However, this restaurant, reheated their leftovers and served: beef, half of it was bones and half about 5 pieces of beef. The temperature was not warm enough. It was served with plastic spoons. a small handful cilantro and chopped onion and 1/8" of lime. We are not dogs, bones are not cool. It has to be well prepared or just plainly don't sell it. My 3.Dl. taco was served with two tortillas the size of a silver dollar, also a few cilantros and onions. I would never recommend that place to any true Mexican foody. read more

Omg the customer service was disgusting. I think their racist. I dealt with a young boy there and he was so unprofessional I wanted to hit him. Their food is bland and boring. Need to use lots of red hot salsa to add flavor. I don't understand why the food is so bland vs their other location on Guadalupe. I guess the family at the other location is happier.
