My wife and I wanted to give them a try again. Its been a few months since we have been back, and it will be a few months before we are back again. Used their coupon to get a smash burger and salad bar for $8.99, however, although the food was ok, the service was good, the overall ambience of the restaurant seemed to be going downhill. Saw several employees taking breaks in the dining room on their phone, sitting amid stacked boxes of what appeared to be a work in progress on decorating for the holidays. I was passing through on my way to Ashville and pulled in for a bite. I was pleasantly surprised. I just had the salad bar, but it was excellent! The waitress brought me refills before I asked and checked in on me frequently. She was so friendly and I told myself I will make a return trip on my way back. Ordered 1 dinner with 1 extra side to go, it took 30 minutes to finally get my order. Not busy. 4 dine in orders & 2 to go orders. Wait staff, bartender and other team members were great. (this happened around 5:30 pm on 9-12-2024) The problem is the shift manager. Does not greet guests, doesn't expo, doesn't check on tables, doesn't help back of the house when needed. When I walked in, the shift manager was drinking a coke while reading the sports pages at the end of the bar. What a joke. It was obvious the crew needed help but the shift manager just ignored them. I love the food at Ruby Tuesdays restaurants yes but it's hit or miss with the service at the one in my town . My husband and I decided to go in and have a sit down meal there several months ago . We haven't been back not even for a call in meal . Our server was lacking in her abilities serving us. We got seated and she took drink order we ordered appetizer that took a long time to receive but the place wasn't busy . The big table beside us got seated with around six people so our server put us on the back burner to wait on them !! Bad move on her part ( I'm a good tipper ) So we finally got to order after we watched her take that tables order and serve them up before she took our order or even delivered our appetizer. I ordered a steak and it was raw and she put down wrong choice of sides . Needless to say I had to sit and watch my husband eat his meal while I'm waiting on line to come back from kitchen. I asked our server if she forgot me and she went to check on my steak and told me oops the cook forgot to send my steak back to me . Nope not wasting my time or money there ever again ! We stopped by here for a quick lunch. It's not busy since it 2 pm in the afternoon. We were seated right away, and our server came to get our drink orders immediately. The place seemed clean and well patronized even in the middle of the afternoon. Our server seemed very nice, friendly and appropriate. She took our orders- I ordered double cheeseburger with everything on it, I choose to have tater tots extra crispy. When my order arrived, the tater tots was cooked to perfection, but the beef patty was unseasoned and the cheese was melted on the bread. I have to ask for steak sauce to make it taste better. My husband and I ate there Saturday evening 7-13-24. We were very disappointed with our meals. My husband ordered a smash burger. The menu showed this awesome 2 patty burger with fries. What he got was one patty torn in half and it looked pitiful and tasted dry. I got endless salad bar. The plates are so small. I didn't heap my salad on plate and everything kept falling off. 40.00 dollars for meal and waitress was sooo slow. My husband asked for mayo. Just horribly high priced solo items. My friend had "crispy fish and chips" ($12.99) Cold and not good - she ate it because we were in a hurry and hungry. I ordered a medium rare hamburger ($10.99) and a loaded baked potato extra charge and a salad ($4.99). Only the salad was edible. The potato was cold (ended up putting it in the to-go box) The hamburger must have been put in a microwave frozen. The outside was a grayish color. When I cut the hamburger in half I could see only a very thin layer of the outside was "cooked???" the bulk of the hamburger was absolutely raw and could have been dangerous to eat (I am so happy I cut it in half and didn't try to eat any) I motioned the waitress over (who was not wearing a mask) and showed her my hamburger was raw - she rudely told me it was medium rare. I again told her the hamburger was raw and cold and I wanted it replaced. She told me I would get the same way cooked hamburger because raw in the hamburger was medium rare. I told her to bring me a medium cooked hamburger. The waitress rudely went on telling me I did not know how hamburgers were cooked in Tennessee and I had a perfectly cooked medium rare hamburger for Tennessee The second hamburger was slightly better, but still raw in the very center then pink and then a thin line of cooked outer meat. I tried a bite and it still tasted raw so it went into the to go box and all was fed to my dog. By the way when I asked the waitress for a to-go box she didn't bring it - I had to ask the male employee (maybe manager) - he brought me one and she saw him so she then rushed over with one. I have never before been rudely told off by a waitress and told I did not know what a medium rare hamburger was. I have owned a restaurant and have managed restaurants. And I have eaten many medium rare hamburgers in that same area of Tennessee as it is close to Dollywood and Gatlinburg were we spend a lot of time. A waitress and a cook, like those in this restaurant will drive clients away. Poor, poor management and over priced microwaved food. My friend was treating me to lunch. Avoid this location at all cost! We sat at our table for 15 minutes before anyone even came and took our drink order. Then we sat another 10 mins waiting on them. We ordered. The waitress came back 5 or so minutes later and told us one of the items ordered they did not have. Two of us ordered the 3-step deal where u get a appetizer, entree and desert. One appetizer came out before the food and the other came out with our food. The food itself was ok, but don't order the club sandwich unless u are wanting a BLT. Lastly, we had to ask about our desert. Mind u this is over 1 and a half since we sat down and an hour since we ordered and we are told they do not have ice cream but the manager will go to the store if we want to wait. I said no that's fine - just take that off the ticket. She comes back with the full price ticket which I had to request to be changed. We did not receive part of what we ordered and should not pay full price for that! They did take $4.89 off our bill which we paid and gladly left to just get out of there. However, before leaving we did over hear people ordering the 3-step deal and the waiter didn't say anything about not having the desert. Poor communication can cause lots of issues!! read more

I hate leaving a bad review when the server tried his best to make things right, but a short handed kitchen resulted in a cold chicken burrito bowl which had no black beans, cold rice, no avocado and no sour cream.
