I wish I had seen the health department score before I walked in, however it is on a table that you only notice when walking out. You wouldn't see it walking in because it isn't facing front. As soon as we walked in at 4:10pm I noticed the salad bar and the mess around it. I would have thought after the lunch crowd someone would have wiped it down and freshened it up. You could tell a lot of employees were just standing around waiting for dinner service to kick in. Our server was nice and attentive. The menu is standard fare-nothing impressive and I didn't see anything I think would stand out. I hadn't had mozzarella sticks in a long time so got those for an appetizer and they were OK. I got a Parmesan penne shrimp pasta that was spicier than I had expected it to be. It was OK. I couldn't help but notice how dirty the restaurant was and unorganized. I saw a rag sitting a top the end of one booth, the liquor bottles uneven around the bar, dirty floors and cobwebs. I would expect a disorganized bar and crumbs on the floor if it was the middle of dinner service, but it was 4pm and all the cleaning should have been done after the lunch rush. I noticed an employee eating behind the bar. I find it unprofessional for employees in uniform to eat on the floor. IDK if this person was eating on the clock or not. It seemed a lot of staff just standing around could have been cleaning. "If you have time to lean, you have time to clean." As I walked out the door and noticed the 88 on the food inspection, my experience all made sense! Everything marked, many dealing with cleaning and potential contamination, was evident and still not being addressed. I hadn't eaten at a Ruby Tuesday since 1994 and that was in Florida. I was hoping to relive that bright and cool atmosphere and I felt like I was in an average Applebee's or something. Greatly understaffed. Only one server and one bar tender on the floor. It was 8:30 when I came in but there was probably 30 guests in the restaurant. Food was not bad, what they were not out of, but nothing was fast about it. Also the restaurant was not very clean. I believe they had a problem with CO2 or something with the beer taps. The only reason that I give this a 1 is that the beer was Yuengling and it was cold. The rib eye was Raw the 1st time it was served and had no flavor. Not to mention the gristle. Awful experience. Highly recommend against. The food was fine, but the huge problem was the service and COMPLETE DISREGARD for cleanliness. While the restaurant wasn't even half-full, the staff were overwhelmed with the few people there. For example: 1. Dirty dishes everywhere. I went to sit at the bar (no one greeted me upon walking in. I never saw a hostess the entire time I was there) and had difficulty finding a place to sit, not because there were too many people (it was about half-full), but because no one could be bothered to remove dirty dishes and drinks. I ate my entire dinner sitting next to a set of dirty silverware that no one bothered to pick up. This problem was not contained to the bar. While walking to the restroom, I noticed there were many tables filled with dirty dishes that no one had bothered to clean. 2. Speaking of the bathroom, it was very dirty. Even after washing my hands, I felt dirtier walking out than walking in. Further, the bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke. No clue why someone would be smoking in there (just walk outside). I assumed it was an employee. 3. Having sat at the bar, I did not see anyone for well over 5 minutes. If it wasn't for the other customers, I would have thought no one was working the bar. When the bartender did arrive, she served two other customers who had arrived after me before bothering to me. It was a solid 15-20 minutes before I got a drink order, no less food order, in. 4. I didn't order take-out but watching how they handled take-out orders, I would NEVER order take-out there. There was a line of people standing by the bar waiting on take-out orders (which had clearly been ordered well-ahead of time). Rather than a designated person, there was no semblance of organization at all. The people waiting were just flagging down whoever they could find, who would then go to the back and try to find the order. Several times it hadn't even been cooked yet! One poor guy waited almost 30 minutes from the time he arrived for his food. Needless to say, I will not be returning. Having worked in restaurants, I can understand being under-staffed, however, this really wasn't the problem from my perspective. It sure seemed to me like a good manager was needed to put into place some order, organization, and for god's sake, cleanliness. I don't know how the Health Department hasn't shut them down. Worst dining experience of my life. The womens bathroom smelled like pee and my feet stuck to the floor. My dad said that there was an inch of sewer water/pee on the floor inside the mens bathroom, which clearly should have been closed. The bourbon chicken I ordered was pink and uncooked which came with crunchy/old mashed potatoes. The salad bar was an absolute mess and looked very unappetizing. Restaurant was completely dead. Took 10 minutes to be seated with only one other table set in the restaurant. 10 more minutes for the server to come take drink orders. Drinks took 30 minutes to come to the table! Ordered spinach artichoke dip, that took 45 minutes and when it showed up it was ice cold! Although the bar manager and bartender were friendly and helpful, this restaurant isn't well run. In the time we were there (1.5 hours); no one checked on the salad bar items or temperature. The kitchen were yelling at the servers, sending food out cold, and forgetting items on to go orders for patrons seated next to us. I was completely done eating by the time he got his food. That was disappointing. The shrimp itself was good, however - not worth the guilt that came along with eating it in front of my buddy's face. Stopped in here as it is next to the hotel I am staying at. I have been to Tuesday's before in other locations, but the cooks at this one are phenomenal! The first night I had a bacon cheeseburger. It was cooked to perfection and juicy! So delicious. Beer was large and cold. Attentive bartender as I was a party of 1 and I sat at the bar. The second night I had the spicy chicken sandwich. This too was made excellent. Did I mention the juicy burger? This was a juicy chicken sandwich! It was very tasty. Both nights I sat at the bar. I will again tonight. I stopped in for dinner while traveling for work. It was just ok. I wouldn't write home about it. I got food to go, ribs. I ordered the dry rub, but it came slathered in sauce. Why do you think I got the dry rub?!? If you insist on slathering the ribs in sauce, give more napkins! Serve the sauce in the side or something!! Not great. The place had that old hotel smell. The boneless wings were burnt. The Chicken Parmesan was a mixed bag meaning the chicken was hot but the cheese on top wasn't melted and the pasta was much cooler with the sauce that goes with it not evenly tossed. I am not a fan of Ruby Tuesday's menu in general. It used to be so much better. I have been to the Elizabethtown location on several occasions and have not been impressed. Once my sister and I got a spaghetti squash dish and it was inedible. We asked if we could get something else. Another time I got their steamed zucchini and it had soooo much salt on it that I couldn't eat it. My favorite drink is a dirty vodka martini. I'm not sure what their house well vodka is but it is terrible. They used to have tiramisu (my favorite) but stopped offering it. The only positive things I can really say is that they have a good salad bar and usually have excellent service. read more

Health code violations alert Cons: There were multiple red flags that we noticed upon entering. When we first arrived, there were only two parties waiting ahead of us and we were standing outside due to lack of standing room at the hostess stand. The hostess seemed frantic and overwhelmed and was cleaning tables in order to seat people. We were then seated next to a table full of dirty glasses and plates of half eaten food--it stayed that way until after we asked two different people to clean it (at least 28 minutes later). Our server (who was triple sat) eventually arrived and nicely greeted us and then took our order. I specified that I had food allergies and requested that my meal be prepared without butter/margarine. I visited the salad bar and the woman in front of me went through about six plates until she found a clean one. The salad bar needed to be restocked. We waited around 37 minutes to receive our food. Mine came out incorrectly and had to be remade. My husband's food was cooked incorrectly (wrong bun, hamburger overcooked, and cold fries). He only ate about half of his meal and our waitress didn't come to check on us until after my food arrived the second time. Pros: Our kids loved their meals. My cocktail was amazing (kudos to the bartender)! When my food finally arrived, it tasted really good--my son ended up eating part of my steak. Results: The manager finally came over and ended up comping our meal due to our bad experience. (The two locations near us closed a few years ago and now I think I know why.) Please consider either retraining your staff and/or require that the managers do routine walk throughs to ensure that the restaurant is run according to health code standards. Also, someone needs to observe the flow of the entire restaurant to fill in where some employees may be overwhelmed. A few employees commented that it was really busy, but from my I observation and past experience in food service it was a typical weekend night. The next time we are in the area, we will choose to drive on by rather than stop to dine here. Hopefully things will improve and ratings will change. Until then, I recommend dining elsewhere. read more

There were only 4 tables of people eating there it was about 5:00 p.m. So they weren't busy. We stood about 5 minutes just waiting to be seated. The salad bar which had been great in the past was a whole different story it was horrible absolutely horrible. The fruit they had on the salad bar was spoiled. The rye croutons were so soggy and tasted like old grease. The dill potato chips on the salad bar were so stale and uneatable . The broccoli and cheddar soup that had been amazing in the past was served to me literally cold and clumped up. I guess they forgot to microwave it before serving. The restaurant was dirty. The waitress was rude and loud and appeared unkept. We spent $80.00 for food we ended up not being able to eat. Definitely will never go back ever. read more

Four of us went to Ruby Tuesday last week for lunch in the middle of the week when it wasn't crowded. When we stepped inside the door all of the staff kept giving each other the "Okay, it's your turn to seat these people" looks until we finally got seated 5 minutes later. I ordered a medium cooked asiago steak with a side salad and after 25-30 minutes the server finally comes out and says "Sorry, I forgot you ordered a salad". 20 more minutes later my lunch comes out and I go to cut into my steak and it's hardly cuttable because there is a long line of fat all along the bottom-half side of it. But worse than that, when I finally did manage to cut into it, a pool of blood spills out. I asked for medium, not medium rare. It was still moo'ing. It was lukewarm in temperature, at best. After 20-25 more minutes, one of the people with me finally manages to wave the server over who was gibber-gabbering behind the bar and hadn't ONCE come over to ask if we needed more drinks or anything. But I stupidly decided that dessert can't be so bad, so I ordered the "chocolate fall cake". If you go to Kroger and order a bland cake that's expired by about two weeks, it'll be the exact equivalent of what I had at Ruby Tuesday. It was dry, crumbled when forking into it and had no flavor. A "get in, get out" luncheon experience turned into around a two hour experience because of all of the waiting and bad service and unfortunately I and the three others I was with left unsatisfied. read more

My wife and went in today planning on using a on-line coupon I had received on Friday. The coupon was: buy any entree and two drinks, and receive a Burger for free! Well, the manager said I had to order a Burger entree in order to receive the special. And I repeated, it said (Any Entree) on the coupon. Anyway, I couldn't use the coupon. We waited forever to get the food even though there were only 2 other tables being waited on. My girlfriend took one bite and sent it back to the kitchen and didn't reorder. I watched as the server dumped my broccoli from a stem bag from the kitchen. I can only assume my rice also came from a bag. The special was an appetizer and two entrees for $22. The server never ask if we wanted an appetizer even though we ordered off the specials menu. It ended up costing me $29 for my chicken and 2 sides and 2 drinks. BAD food, BAD service. It actually wasn't our first choice for dinner that night. We rode by Texas Roadhouse because we had gift cards. The place was packed and people were standing outside regardless of the monsoon going on. Ruby Tuesday just around the corner and we got right in with no wait. It's been so long since I had Ruby Tuesday I'd forgotten how good it actually was. My husband had the half rack ribs with mashed potatoes and onion rings. To say he enjoyed it was an understatement. He cleaned his plate. I had the 6oz Petite Sirloin, medium well, with a baked potato and a side salad. I couldn't eat all the sirloin because I got so full. I would definitely go back and enjoy the restaurant again and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't ate there. read more

What a departure from a normal Ruby Tuesday. Ordered a Cajun Ribeye, cooked Medium. Received a tough well-done steak. Asked for an extra side of toppings for a baked potato and never received them even though I was charged for it. Icing on the cake is they charged $6 for a tonic water. Even told the waitress at the time I ordered if it cost more than soda, just bring me water. Offerings at the salid bar were pretty limited. There were about 4 active tables during our visit, so they surly weren't too busy. Just lacked quality. Probably will not return to this location. So, yeah "TK", it was that bad. read more
