So I've been eating their food for a long time at this point, and one thing I can say is they've always been consistent. The food comes out hot, fresh, and reliably good every time. They also have a huge menu, which I appreciate because not everyone wants the same thing when you go out to eat. You can get sushi, classic Asian dishes, noodles, rice plates, appetizers, pretty much whatever mood you're in. If you like sushi especially, their sushi menu is honestly pretty strong. The restaurant itself has a modern look without feeling cold or overly trendy. Nice atmosphere overall, and there's plenty of parking in the back which makes life easier, especially on busy nights. Now for the couple things that keep it from being 5 stars for me. First, the service robot. I know some people probably think it's cute or futuristic or whatever, but personally I'm not a fan. It actually turned me off enough that I stopped going for a short period. I go out to dinner to interact with people, not Wall-E carrying my fried rice across the dining room. That said, I've been back multiple times since and it feels like they're using it less now, or at least less aggressively, which I appreciate. The other thing is the noise level. The dining room can get loud. Usually that doesn't bother me much, but if you're trying to have an actual conversation across the table sometimes you find yourself repeating things. Still, none of that has stopped me from going back. It's close to home for me in Lincoln, the food is consistently good, and they rarely miss the mark. Had to ask again about utensils and napkins. Was not given soy sauce. I ended up getting up to walk over to the sushi counter to ask a cook for it. So instead of providing shallow trays and a pourable sushi bottle, which should be automatic in any sushi restaurant, I was wan handed a 5-6 inch tall narrow bowl with Soy sauce on the bottom - almost impossible to use for dipping sushi into. Wife had a Japanese import beer which was fine. I had the house version of a scorpion bowl which I found unpleasant. All in all, food was average, service poor. I worry at sushi places that if they don't have the front of house operating smoothly, what is happening with food prep and the kitchen. Their menu is typical for a Chinese restaurant, so I ordered my standard orange chicken combo and hot and sour soup. Their orange chicken is flawless! The right amount of orange flavor and the right amount of heat (of course you can specify when ordering). Their fried rice is good, but not as amazing as the chicken. Their egg rolls are very good as well. Apparently there are as many ways to make hot and sour soup as there are places that make it. But Dim Sum does it the way that I like. Heavy on the tofu, egg, and mushrooms, and little to no meat. Flavor is spot on! If you go to their website you can order food online (always a nice feature). Their drivers are nothing but friendly and polite. Most importantly, we have ordered from here multiple times and they are consistent! As long as they keep up the good work, they will be our go to for Chinese takeout!
