Between the sushi, hibachi, and the bento boxes you really can't go wrong. It's quality food with great flavor. Their take out is timely and when dining in, we've never had a wait. The service is always attentive and quick.
When Izumi first opened, I was a huge fan of their food. Until up to my pregnancy, I found myself craving their food. During that period of time, I ordered take out a lot. Today, my father decided to do take out for his birthday lunch with my daughter and myself. He ordered the ground pork lettuce wrap and grilled squid along with other dishes like the salt and pepper pork chop, tom yum soup, and a sushi roll. Now, I don't expect take out to be presented the same way as dining in. It was not so much about the appearance - my biggest issues were that the ground pork lettuce wrap had around two tablespoons of ground pork and the grilled squid was overcooked and just wasn't of the same quality of when Izumi first opened. The pork chop was also just unimpressive. It lacked taste and was also overcooked considering the texture of the pork was hard to chew on. The service wasn't the issue as they are always incredibly pleasant and since we did take out, we can't say much about the ambiance. However, from what I observe it's still a nice place. Just can't vouch for their food anymore...
Yummy! Was craving ramen on a cold rainy sunday night and had been wanting to try Izumi as we pass by it so often. Staff were super attentive and friendly. We ordered pork belly buns, grilled squid and a sunset roll for appetizers and two char siu ramens. The squid was delicious as was the ramen but honestly the pork belly buns and sunset roll didn't stand out, not necessarily a bad thing but i truthfully just don't remember them. the lychee martini was delicious though!
I was feeing under the weather and wanted some ramen so we ordered takeout from Izumi. This was our first time ordering food from here, so in addition to the ramen we also ordered Izumi Rangoon, shrimp yakiudon, general gao chicken, and nime chow. The food was really good but on the more expensive side. The takeout order was packaged well and ready in about 15 minutes from when we placed our order online. We received email communication from the restaurant confirming the order and again when the order was ready to pick up.

Best quality sushi in the area! The fish tastes fresh and great. The yellow fish was my favorite roll. Finished with pistachio and strawberry mochi ice cream. Surprised by how delicious and creamy they were. The other dishes they serve are amazing as well. Lastly, the display of each dish is very neat. Always pleased when I eat here!
Ok the ginger salad on 1st bite oddly tasted like ashes but after rest was fine! Miso and mushroom soup great needed more tofu all of the main dishes were good odd premature but general gay was dry and tasteless ! Service was fast and really good job. Ambiance laid back most was clean except under the tables!
Delicious food, awesome company, and a wonderful dinner. We had apps and sushi and drinks and they did not disappoint. We had wonderful service. The servers were attentive and kind. It was the perfect ambiance for dinner. Decent seating space for groups or couples. Had the tuna app and plenty of sushi. We had the biggest drink I have ever seen! Definitely fun to share with friends. I would definitely recommend this place.
The last time we were here was in end of Aug . Came here at 4:30-5pm not in rush hour or weekend either. We waited for 10 mins at least to get our waitstaff attention. We got seated and were left alone for a while. The restaurant only had a few tables so it wasn't even busy. The price of nigiri and maki also have gone up. The quality though, they weren't the same as before. Will not go out of my way to have sushi here anymore.

5 stars across the board for service, ambiance, flavor, and pricing. My friend and I were in the mood for sushi and were headed to Attleboro so decided to stop by here after running an errand. It was around 8 pm so we were hoping it wasn't too packed and luckily it was about 50% full. They are located in a plaza with lots of popular businesses so parking can be scarce at times, but we had no issues this time. We were seated at a table with half comfy bench and half rigid chair so my friend and I decided to turn the table the long way and both sit on the comfy bench side. One of the hosts saw us close like sardines, came over and happily moved over a second table for us which was super kind of her. We ordered a sweet potato roll ($9), shrimp tempura roll ($12), and shrimp pad thai ($19). The sweet potato roll was the best one we've ever had as the sweet potato was not only really sweet, but it was very crispy and almost had caramelized edges. The shrimp tempura roll was also delicious. The slices were thin but wide as it had two pieces of shrimp tempura. I asked for spicy mayo on top instead of eel sauce. The pad thai was my least favorite since it didn't have many veggies, but also because it was a little too sweet, though the little lime wedge helped a bit. It did come with a good amount of shrimp, maybe 8 of them. For the prices, the serving sizes were good. Our server was attentive and very nice. They have a couple TVs along the wall and they have an open sushi bar where you can watch them making the rolls. The place is also clean. read more
Tried this place today just by chance wanted to try something new instead of always going to Jackie's galaxy. At first it started off with slow service (only two waiters and it was busy so totally understandable). However after our order was taken everything was great. Food was EXCELLENT. Portion was huge! Everything was cooked perfectly. My elderly mother normally eats extremely small portions but she loved this food so much she ate almost of her meal! read more

Delicious food, awesome company, and a wonderful dinner. We had apps and sushi and drinks and they did not disappoint. We had wonderful service. The servers were attentive and kind. We ordered takeout and got Nime Chow, Crab Rangoons, a hibachi dinner, chicken yakisoba noodles, and crab salad. Everything was great! This might be our new go-to. read more

I really like this restaurant, from the modern vibe to the great sushi and excellent service. We were quickly seated at a high top table next to the window, water arrived promptly and a few minutes later we ordered: + Shumai - Steamed shrimp dumpling. $9.60 + Gyoza 6 pieces. Pan fried Japanese dumplings. $9.60 + Miso Soup - Tofu, seaweed, scallion in soybean based broth. $6.00 + Garden Salad - Green salad with mixed vegetables. $8.40 + Chicken Fried Rice - Stir fried rice with chicken. $18.00 + Salmon Lover Sushi & Sashimi - 3 pieces of salmon sushi, 6 pieces salmon sashimi and salmon roll. $25.00 The Shumai was tasty, but the Gyoza was fantastic, light, crispy, hot and delicious. The soup and salad were good, standard fare, and the Salmon Lover Sushi & Sashimi was excellent! Two diners ordered the salmon which arrvies artfully presented, with a substantial amount of salmon. I'd definitely order this dish again! The fried rice was nicely cooked, not too heavy and the chicken was moist and tender. The only thing I didn't like about this restaurant was the traffic, it's located on busy and light laden Route 1, but I think our dining party all agreed it was worth the trip. read more

I visited Izumi recently because I was craving sushi. The restaurant offers is Japanese and Thai fusion, so they offer hibachi, sushi, and Thai dishes. There is something for everyone. I started off with the steamed Shumai, which was pretty solid. For drinks, I shared the Tsunami bowl for two, Tokyo Sunset, and the Sake Lemonade. All of the drinks were really good! My boyfriend and I also shared the Sushi for Two - which featured an assortment of nigiri and chef's choice of two specialty rolls. Everything was fresh and beautifully served. My only critique is that the fusion rolls were basically a raw combination of the other fish we had, whereas I wish there had been two cooked rolls instead. We also ordered a Spicy Scallop roll on the side which was also good. I think the prices are fair and our service was really nice. Good spot for a little date night. Would return. read more

I came here a few times, I've ordered take out a couple times also. I decided to make a review after my last time here. It was a busy Friday night, it was also my daughter's 16th birthday so we decided to eat sushi here since it's a tradition to eat sushi on her birthday. I didn't have reservation but they mention it would be about 20 min wait. So I gave them my number and told them I would wait in my car 5 mins later they called. We were hungry so we got a few app and rolls. Everything was great per usual, except for the tuna dumpling, the presentation of that dumpling did not look appetizing at all. Had some colorful sauce on it. I think it was blue and green. The girls did not want to try it. I put 1 on my plate and taste it. It wasn't bad but it was more of the presentation that made it look disgusting. But overall I will not order that app ever again lol. read more

This restaurant is nowhere near my home. In fact, I have not been in this area in over a decade. But I must say that Izumi might be worthy of a detour any time I travel near the Rhode Island-Massachusetts border because it is just that awesome. The menu has a variety of Asian delights but we were concentrating on sushi/sashimi tonight. And better sushi cannot be had anywhere in anew England. Yes, you heard that right...this is as good as sushi gets. Fresh, carefully selected fish with a perfect rice ball to fish ratio prepared beautifully. I had the sushi and sashimi entree, my son had the salmon lover. The tuna and salmon literally melted in my mouth. The albacore was amazing. The other fish on the plate was just as spectacular. I loved it. My son loved it. We decided that we would finish the meal with mochi. The taste and the presentation were both amazing. The portion size for price point was a bit too high though so I would likely pass on this next time. Lately I have seen too many people recommend sushi restaurants that barely achieve mediocrity (some that do not) so finding this gem was a pleasant surprise. So if you love sushi like I love sushi stop in here and thank me later. Service is excellent, price competitive, food outstanding! read more
I highly recommend this venue for dining in. The interior design was done by a professional, which makes the fancier and more formal, yet warm and inviting ambiance appealing. There are so many Thai and Sushi places in the surrounding area, so the competition is pretty tight. My picky daughter wasn't too impressed with their sushi, but I enjoyed the Tom Yum soup which I will definitely reorder when I return. I also plan on trying other items on the menu. One thing memorable about Izumi was how caring the staff were. There was an unsupervised kid around the age of 4 running around the busy parking lot and all three employees (host, owner, waitress??) had their eyes on the child. When a truck drove by, they quickly ran out to make sure the kid was safe. This left a very touching impression on me. I wish this business a lot of luck because of this! Tons of parking. read more
Celebrating our anniversary we tried this local spot that honestly speaking we thought it was a spa. We obviously never paid close attention to the sign! Glad we tried it. Super clean and modern inside. Loved the wall murals and aesthetics here. Had a scorpion bowl with my husband and those never disappoint. I had a bento box but that's not what I am still left thinking about, the sweet potato roll! I loved it! I am weak for eel sauce and it was the perfect combo for me of soft and crunch with the eel sauce plus super affordable! Bring it- I want more! [But the bento box gave me a lot of choices and was certainly flavorful and filling- plus affordable!] We will hit us this spa/restaurant again! read more

Who ever thought I'd be giving 5 stars to a strip mall sushi restaurant, but these folks won us over despite my initial skepticism. We usually avoid the chef-selected "sushi/sashimi deluxe for two", but it just seemed safe in consideration of our low expectations. We'll I have to tell you... it was really nice! The fish selection was a bit basic (does anyone offer the exotic stuff anymore?), but the quality, freshness, portion size, and presentation made for a delightful meal. Virtually all sushi chefs do a nice job with presentation, but this was over-the-top with colored LED lights tastefully frozen into blocks of ice, giant fresh leaves transformed into a cantilevered natural tray, and numerous other beautifully arranged design elements. We worried that the chef's choice maki rolls would be cheap and boring but they turned out to be ones we would have picked or better! These folks really made an effort to impress and it worked. The staff were all polite and determined to please, everything was clean (especially the bathroom), and the ambiance, while a little bit overly schmaltzy, all added to the experience. The price wasn't terrible either. We've been eating sushi regularly for over 40 years all over the country and in places like Japan, Korea and other countries numerous times as well. With that experience I can tell you that the food here is right up there with the best New England has to offer when overall experience is important. As a constructive suggestion, hopefully the owners will consider featuring specialties like giant clam, monkfish liver, or other seasonal catches for us adventurous types. There are so many other fish in the sea. Let's give the tuna, salmon, and yellowtail a break and introduce diners to greater variety. It would bring me back more often. read more
One of my good buddy's and his wife Joined us for dinner @ Izumi last Saturday night. All of that Sushi fed us all. The weight staff, and the service is always top-notch. I had made the reservation several days ahead of time, so we got a really great seat at the window in the first booth. This by far is some of the best sushi anywhere in the northeast. read more
