The flavors were flavoring!!! Parking was easy, there is some beside and in front of the restaurant. Went for brunch around 10am on Sunday. We were seated quickly because we checked in online before we arrived. It wasn't packed though. Our server was friendly and attentive. The interior has rustic flooring and seating with vibrant decorations, really cute. Now on to the food!! We started with the loaded tots with bacon, a must have! The gravy is amazing. We also got the vanilla spiced latte. It was sweet, but not overly so. They were able to make mine with oatmilk which I appreciated. My friend ordered the florentine omelet, which came with a biscuit. Their biscuits are excellent, and come with delicious cinnamon honey (I think) butter! I got the chicken St. Charles Benedict with scrambled eggs and we shared the king cake stuffed French toast. Everything was delicious and cooked well. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly and had wonderful flavor. A little bit salty, but some of the best fried chicken I've had in a long time. French toast was very sweet as should be expected with sugar coated on the outside lol. I tend to go in with lower expectations for chain restaurants, but this one really impressed me! Service was fine and we liked the atmosphere but my daughter's French toast bites were hard as a rock and the biscuit sandwich was also extremely hard. The pico was fresh and pico-y, but needed some salt and time to marinate. My husband enjoyed his tacos as is, and I added some herbed creme fraiche and hot sauce... VERY TASTY. The breakfast potatoes are not where it's at... they are potatoes- no frills, seemingly no salt... but get some tots instead! Tots are, decidedly, also breakfast potatoes and are crownchy and delicious! Cheese grits: stone-ground, great texture, needs seasoning, which can be overcome by the s and p shakers. Omelet: more of a frittata than an omelet... the ingredients are cooked into the egg and folded over, so it changes the texture of the omelet, making it softer. It was good, packed with spinach, goat cheese, and mushrooms. Loaded tots: Guys...... these are crunchy tots with Tasso cream sauce, apple-wood smoked pork debris, and finely diced chives. YES, YES, and one more time for the people in the back..... YEEEEEEESSSSS! This was delicious and hearty, and I would drive all the way across town for this again!!!! NOM! Coke Zero: $3.50 is a little pricey for soda, but as someone who drinks like they will never drink again, I got my three fiddy worth, just sayin'. This place is fantastic. We got here around 10:15-10:30 on a Sunday and were seated immediately. There is indoor and outdoor seating and though it's a little noisy, the overall atmosphere is bright and welcoming. Our server, Alia, was wonderful, very attentive and friendly throughout the whole meal. We had the beignets and the pig candy bacon bites to start. The beignets were lovely....light and sweet (I definitely felt like I was back in New Orleans). The pig candy was not as good...too much sugar on the bacon so we wouldn't order this again. I got the Pick Two Eggs Benedict and got the Chicken St. Charles and the Eggs Cochon. The Chicken St. Charles was good with crispy, juicy chicken and a nice light gravy. The Eggs Cochon was the standout. The pork was fall-apart tender and the hollandaise was smoky goodness. I wanted a plain biscuit just to sip up all the rest of the hollandaise. Ruby Sunshine is the Alabama cousin of Ruby Slipper. They serve various forms of fried green tomatoes, poached eggs/eggs Benedict, fried chicken, bloody marys, mimosas. I had a special, a beer braised beef Benedict. The beef was moist and pretty good, but a little salty. They were heavy on the hollandaise and it was cold and a little congealed. Overall an ok dish. Mimosas were as expected. I didn't have the Bloody Mary, but the New Orleans version is fabulous. My server, Tyler (Ty) was super attentive and helpful, so he helps bolster the review. Another table was unhappy with one of their dishes and I heard him arrange a comp for them, so that was nice. I didn't think that was necessary on my part. After visiting the sister locations in Nola and Mobile I had to give this location a visit. I made a reservation through there website and am so glad I did. Upon arrival, the place was packed so I checked in with the hostess and we were seated within 5 minutes. The waitstaff all seem to be very friendly and you could tell they help each other out by watching around the restaurant. We got the candied bacon as our starter and while delicious it was a little too sweet for me. I got the crawfish cake appetizer as my main and it was amazing and very filling. The tacos were some of the best I have ever had. They also have a vegetarian option which is nice. The service was awesome. Our waiter was so kind and timely. First time eating here...It was really busy when we decided to have brunch here after my daughter's graduation. One of my daughters joined the wait list before we got there so our wait wouldn't be so long. Once we got inside, one of the employees told her that they had no record of her being on the wait list which was really bizarre since she definitely did join. Our food was good for the most part. I really enjoyed the fish and grits. I did not like the Pig Candy Bacon Bites at all. They were supposed to have a candy glaze...but there was no glaze. They just looked like pieces of bacon with a lot of brown sugar caked on them. I told Tyler I didn't like them and he removed them for us. The beignets were also disappointing and I've honestly never met a beignet I didn't like. Some were kind of flat, weren't nice and airy as they should be (should've taken a picture). We used the Yelp waitlist to get our place in line, but wasn't necessary since the place wasn't busy. We started out with drinks and appetizers which my Bloody Mary was ok, but seemed like it didn't have much alcohol in it. My boyfriend Boozy Iced Coffee wasn't filled up to the top, but he enjoyed it. The fried green tomatoes appetizer was tasty, but wish it was more than just 3 on the plate.
