I've been to other Ruby Slippers and this was the first time here. I arrived on Friday around 11. I was greeted with a big smile by the hostess. I was seated by a not as warm second hostess. There was no smile or welcome, she sat me at a 4 seater table and I mentioned since I was alone, I could just sit in the bar area. I thought maybe she didn't hear me as it took a few seconds for her to respond, and when she finally did, it was just a shrug and she turned around and walked away. So, I sat down and it took nearly 10 minutes before anyone came by to get my drink order. My waiter arrived and he was also not so warm. I ordered the martini espresso and the chicken toast bites. I also ordered an extra pancake. My espresso took a while to arrive. But I did have water. I think it took around 20 or so minutes for the drink to arrive and the food arrived shortly after. They said the pancake would arrive in a little bit. I enjoyed the expresso martini, it was sweet and had some good coffee flavor, so I'd order that again for sure. And the fried chicken was good but a little dry. The French toast were yummy but needed syrup. As I finished my meal, my water went dry and the waiter from the other table checked on me. I requested to get my pancake to go since it hadn't arrived yet, I had somewhere I needed to be, and I requested that he bring the check. That waiter seemed a little more friendlier. I also checked out the bathroom and who doesn't love bacon n eggs wallpaper?! The front space with the corn hole and greenery is really nice. It is one of the larger Ruby Slippers. And the entrance you go down a long walkway to get to the front area. There is a parking lot for customers as well. I just think this Ruby location could be more customer service friendly and welcoming. It sort of felt like no one really wanted to be there. Overall I had an ok experience at this location.

Omg! My first stop and Amber recommended I get the tacos! It was a win. These tacos we amazing. Fresh off the plane to these. Asked for my potatoes Fried had and a little hot sauce the were perfect. Chef G came out to the table to check on us and I love this. It's such a warm feeling when people care that you care about your food. I also had a sangria that's was yummy and I ate the fruit out the cup. Everyone was nice even the regulars! If you go be nice

This is my favorite Ruby Slipper in the city!! I get the same omelette, egg whites w/ spinach and salmon, and it is consistent every time! K. H is one of the best for sure, she makes the experience even better!

In Nola looking for an American brunch spot and Ruby did not disappoint. It had exactly what I was looking for and then more. I am so impressed with everything my table had to order. I had the pig omelette with egg whites with a side of berry pancakes to end on a sweet note. The omelette was amazing and the pancakes didn't even need syrup for the thick whipped cream was saucy enough. I didn't like their home fries as it was dry and burnt for me tasting but overall it was a great meal!

The Mimosa Flight was Yes!!

KH was amazing, Food was great drinks were Awesome!! Thanks so much Kelly!! We will be back for you!!

Limited parking is available at the front of the restaurant, with additional spaces in the rear. They provide both indoor and outdoor seating. Ricardo was our waiter. I selected the sangrita and Bayou Shrimp Bennies, which included shrimp sautéed in pork tasso and Creole tomato sauce, served over poached eggs, fried green tomatoes, and a buttermilk biscuit. The restaurant was busy with guests so it resulted in a lengthy wait for our meals. The food's quality was average, falling short of exceptional. The dishes seemed to have been plated in advance of being served to us. My nephew Smashed Burger came out looking really good. He really enjoyed his burger and fries.

This is such a cute spot that's somewhat tucked away. The ambiance is casual but very comfortable, making it a great place to take someone for a good brunch or an afternoon bite. I had the fried chicken Benedict on a buttermilk biscuit with a cream étouffée sauce that was spectacular. The pineapple mimosa was also pretty incredible, and I really enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. The food was outstanding, but their customer service was unfortunately a bit lacking. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would definitely return.

I have to give a huge shout-out to the General Manager, Ms. Ashley. She is incredibly attentive; she was right there in the trenches bringing out food and helping her team when they were getting slammed. I actually came here three days in a row and ordered something different every time--everything is legit good. However, the French Toast Bites are the real reason I'm hooked; they are honestly like a drug! Friday: I had an excellent experience with Mr. Ricardo. His suggestion for the Sangria was "chef's kiss." Saturday: I brought my kids (ages 2 and 11) and we shared the French Toast Bites and the Pig Candy Bacon. It was a hit with both of them. They loved the eggs and grits and cheese too lol. Sunday: Choosing this spot for Mother's Day says a lot about how much I value this staff. Even without the kiddos, I had an awesome experience. I asked Ms. Ashley for a recommendation and had my first-ever Benedict experience. I went with the crab cake and shrimp options--absolutely delicious and full of flavor. My server, Tee, suggested the Margarita, and let me tell you... it was so good and flavor-filled! They even gave me a long-stemmed flower and a Mother's Day card. I was so touched because I wasn't expecting them to go that extra mile. It was such a significant gesture that solidified my loyalty to this place. This spot gets "hella busy" fast. I can see how the wait times might get chaotic or seating could be tight, but it's 100% understandable because the food and service are great. I love that they offer Benedict specials where you can cluster two or three different options--it's the perfect way to try the menu in smaller portions. I'll definitely be back again!

This breakfast gem is amazing. I enjoyed it so much we went back the next day for lunch with family. The chicken strips were delicious and seasoned . I ordered a salad with fried chicken and I enjoyed it. The coffee here is also great ! I wish we had this place near us in Schertz:Cibolo Texas

Such a wonderful place. I enjoyed delicious praline pancakes, drip coffee, bacon, and bayou shrimp benny. I went for something small and kept ordering because everything was so well done. Service was top notch. The bartenders, servers, hostess - I mean I'm from NOLA but this was some next level welcoming energy. I felt like I left as friends with them all. I will be back! It was also extremely clean, well organized, and peaceful.

Customer service 5 stars. I went in alone Friday morning around 8:20. Hostess greeted me immediately and sat me. Server came right over and got me started. I had an expression martini, tots starter, shrimp Bennie. Everything came out super quick, hot, and was yummy. Manager was moving around. Communicating with colleagues and guests. She complimented my cardigan and made sure I had all I needed. I was near the kitchen and everything seemed clean and in order. They also seemed to be enjoying one another and getting work done. They were quite busy and everything went smoothly. Would come back with family. Generous parking. Free. And a great outdoor option for families if the weather is right. Megan D was my server. She was very nice helpful and responsive.

The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

We ordered to go and got rained on. Towards the front there is a seating area that we stayed in to eat our beignets! Service was great. You gotta go. It's New Orleans!!!…read more Cafe du Monde is one of those places where you just have to embrace the chaos, get powdered sugar all over your body and have some fun with it. The beignets + cafe au lait are exactly what you want, and it's such a perfect spot to sit, relax, people watch and take in all the New Orleans craziness around you. My favorite time to go is either really late at night or ridiculously early in the morning. Both just hit different. Also... CASH ONLY!!! If you sit at a table the servers come to you quick! I'd literally been told I had to go here so many times that by the time I landed in New Orleans, I pretty much made a beeline straight for this legendary cafe. This cafe is located right outside Jackson Square right off the waterfront. They are open late, as they close at either 11p or 12am every day. When we went in the middle of the afternoon, the place was very busy as it was hard to find a table in their outside patio, so we settled for a table in the indoor section(A/C SCORE!!). The ground was littered with powdered sugar as customers like myself don't always understand how to eat these beignets without making a big mess. The beignets themselves were pretty inexpensive as they cost only $4.53 for a 3-pack. I also got a large frozen coffee for $7.70. The beignets were delivered to our table very fast and very warm. The movie "Chef" says you only get your first bite of your first beignet from Cafe Du Monde once in your life and to cherish the moment and I do truly understand what they meant with that quote. These beignets were so great and that first bite with the powdered sugar explosion was so amazing-I really enjoyed the recklessness of having a beignet at Cafe Du Monde. Overall, I feel that anyone who visits New Orleans has to find their way to this legendary cafe and enjoy this dish that has been served since 1862. A really great bite!.

Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! The salmon was crispy on the outside with a nice sauce over it. We thought we'd have time to get dessert so we ordered a couple but that too took a very long time. We finally waved down our server to cancel and get the check since we had to be somewhere and he apologized and said their WiFi was going in and out so it could be that it was registering on the kitchen side. That may have explained why our entrees took too long. If it wasn't for the service and the food being great - I would not be thrilled about timing.
