A tip of the hat to this New Orleans expansion with lots of breakfast delights, powdered sugar and strong coffee. Bittersweet as we bide goodbye to friends but filling as we journeyed home. Beware they don't short you on sugar or hospitality. I needed syrup for my white chocolate pancakes but they were delicious.

Lafayette LOVES new restaurants and honestly, so do I. I was particularly excited about this new restaurant because I've been to the New Orleans location a few times and it always hits the spot. Met my girlfriends here for brunch and we all enjoyed our dishes. The menu is expansive-maybe a little too expansive-because they're just so many things that I wanted to try but went with what I would consider a safe choice which were their poached eggs, but I was lusting over my friends bananas foster pancakes, and next time I am definitely getting that. Service here was impeccable that day we had the cutest little waiter who was such a flirt and so much fun to flirt back with. I definitely recommend Ruby Slipper. I mean they're a New Orleans chain. How can you go wrong? It's New Orleans and although Lafayette has comparable restaurants, we love our New Orleans restaurants here and I will always make room for a Nola original.

Super excited. I love this restaurant in New Orleans. So happy it is in Lafayette now. Creole Breakfast. Mimosa flights are baller and have mocktails too. Had their seasonal Peach and Cream beignets and Bacon bites. Meal was Hot Chicken and French toast bites. Not too spicy, the mouth heat vs the heat sitting on your lips. Service great

Quick breakfast before a day out, the service here is great, along with the coffee. Great omelette with shrimp inside, and the grits were nice and creamy. The breakfast tacos were very filling and the avocado added to the eggs. The pancakes had butter with steen syrup which was really good and tasty. Great start to the morning.

As a fan of Ruby Slipper from my visits to their New Orleans locations, I was excited to see them open in Lafayette This city is growing fast and a solid brunch spot like this was definitely needed One of the best features is the ability to check in and join the waitlist online With this being a new and popular addition to the food scene, the wait gets long, so this feature is a lifesaver The restaurant itself is in a newer plaza with a few other popular restaurants, but parking is tough Many people, including myself, ended up parking at Topgolf and walking over Not sure how sustainable that is in the long run, but for now, it works There's plenty of seating inside and some outdoor options as well Service was great I was helped by either Melissa or Jessica one of them was training and both were fantastic My food was just as good as I remembered from previous visits I had the catfish and grits, which were excellent the fish was crispy, well seasoned, and a great portion size I also ordered a single pancake just to taste, and it was delicious The only letdown was my lavender cocktail I forgot the exact name It was weak not even mild in strength so next time, I'll stick to a regular mimosa or a French 75 The pricing overall was fair and reasonable for what you get I'll definitely be back simply because Lafayette needed a brunch spot like this and Ruby Slipper delivers on food and atmosphere Just be prepared for parking challenges and long waits unless you check in online

We decided to try the Ruby Slipper for our anniversary. I'll keep this short and to the point. We arrived at approximately 9:15 and sat promptly. Our drink order was taken around 9:40. We received our food around 10:08. My wife ordered a make your own omelette with mushroom, spinach, and onion. She received an omelette with no onion and bacon, which she removed before eating. I had the Bananas Foster, which was fine. Our server was nice, but the service and food overall was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. Very disappointing, especially considering this was supposed to be a special event meal.

Got in quickly on a Sunday. I do think it was right before the rush, as it was very cold, and they gave our party of three a large table. Ordered quickly, nothing really off menu. The omelette did have wrong ingredients, but he tasted it and was fine, didn't want to wait. Everyone was quite friendly, paid attention to us, lots of staff hustling around. I've been to both other locations, and the quality has absolutely transferred to this location. Quality ingredients and great taste. The biscuits and gravy are really my go to, silky texture is perfect. Parking is abundant, but do be careful on a crowded day, like Sunday, as there are other locations in the strip mall, and some people do not bother to look.

I went here for the soft opening and had a pretty good time. Service was quick and the waitress was so sweet and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed my avocado bowl. There were only a couple of mishaps though. One of our drinks had a hair on it but that was resolved fairly quickly. There was also an issue with a machine that started blasting water everywhere. Everyone took it well and laughed it off. We even clapped afterwards when it was fixed. I had a great time!

My friend and I both loved the grits, as it was hot, buttery, and laced with pieces of corn kernels. We also really enjoyed the fluffy biscuits, warm beignets, and sticky cinnamon rolls. Usually cinnamon rolls tend to be too dry but the one at Parish was super moist and smothered in that ooey gooey cream cheese icing. I also appreciate the option to customize and swipe out sausage meats and veggies. Case in point, I was able to get the eggs benedict with turkey sausage instead of ham. Even though there is a bit of a line at the door, the meals come out fast and hot once your order does get placed. The drinks were pretty standard but my friend really enjoyed his espresso martini and my Paloma mimosa was sweet and packed with flavor. All in all, I really enjoyed every dish and I can't wait to come back and try more things!

Once we finally found it, we were very happy both because - yay we found it - and it smelled so yummy inside. I love a breakfast place with a full bar too. Drinks before 10am, yes, please! So, we get in line to order our yummer biscuits. I like places that have counter type service where you pay for your food and sit. It can make it easier when you have a big group or in a hurry. I ordered the fried chicken hot honey biscuit, the Cameron! ahh hot honey! I would have ordered the crawfish one, because I so those coming out of the kitchen, and holy hell! It just wasn't crawfish season when I went, so noseys to ordering crawfish out of season. I also ordered alcohol, because why not. I got the most amazing Irish coffee! It the predecessor before all these martini espresso followers. I took a very messy and sticky bite of my hot honey chicken biscuit - which was huge by the way - and I was in bliss! I really liked everything about this place. And it was all so clean and the staff were friendly too. I will be back next time I am in town to try more of those biscuits and maybe another Irish coffee? :-)

The interior of this location was very nice and welcoming. There was a good mix of seating options that seemed accommodating for both larger groups and smaller parties. The music selection was also enjoyable and added positively to the overall atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp and andouille omelette. I will say the presentation was very stark and uninteresting. Just based on how it looked, I would not have expected much from the dish. While I cannot quite pinpoint how it could be improved visually, it simply came across as boring on the plate. That said, the omelette itself was better than expected once I started eating. The bites that included both shrimp and andouille sausage were the strongest and most flavorful parts of the dish. Overall, if I were judging strictly on appearance, my expectations would have been low. Taste wise, I would give the meal about a 6 out of 10. I did notice several other dishes coming out to nearby tables that looked more appealing, so while this order did not fully impress me, I would not rule out returning. Next time, I would likely try something different from the menu.

There's no host stand or clear seating system, so the entrance felt chaotic. We weren't sure what to do until a nice local told us to just grab a table. After sitting down, it took about 5 mins for a waitress to stop by with the menus. The menu includes both breakfast and lunch items, but the ordering process is confusing. We were told breakfast orders would be taken at the table and lunch needs to be ordered separately at the cafeteria style counter. My husband went to the counter to order lunch while I stayed behind, waiting for the server to return with drinks and take our breakfast order, she never did. The smothered pork dish looked worse than school cafeteria, and unfortunately tasted like it too. It was overly salty and the pork had a weird taste to it. Since we had already paid for the lunch item upfront and still hadn't been able to place breakfast order, we decided to cut our losses and went to another restaurant. Overall, wasted 35 mins and left frustrated and disappointed, definitely won't come back!

The main issue here is the overall service experience and the food quality. The interior is old school but immediately chaos; there is a Luby's style ready serve food line and tables as well for dine in. We didn't know but apparently you just find a table and sit down, we were standing around waiting to be seated for a bit. Apparently you order lunch plates at this hot food line and then order breakfast via your server at the table. This makes no sense. We waited 35 minutes for staff to take our breakfast order and beverages unsuccessfully, so I went up and ordered a lunch plate of smothered pork and just paid up front. The guy working the ready made food line was also pretty rude and didn't want to be there; great! It was definitely below Treebeard's level and was very salty and not very flavorful. The sauce that they poured on the rice was extremely salty as well. Meh food quality and the absolute chaos of the brunch dining experience made the brunch meal very unenjoyable for our group. We left afterwards and went to another restaurant to eat.
