I wanted to try their pancakes but didn't want a full stack, and our server Robin was wonderful in recommending the Sweet Start. One thing we really appreciated is that all breakfast entrees include coffee or tea, and the prices are already very reasonable. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that even though we ordered specialty coffees, we could still enjoy complimentary refills of regular coffee. The restaurant has a charming and unique atmosphere, with every table looking a little different from the next. For my meal, I ordered the Sweet Start, which included one pancake, eggs, and bacon. I also appreciated the transparency from the staff. When I asked for an extra serving of their homemade pecan butter, I was informed upfront that there would be an additional charge....a level of honesty that's surprisingly rare these days. My husband ordered the Banana Nut French Toast comes with homemade whipped cream and homemade pecan butter, which also came with bacon. He added a side of eggs as well. Everything was delicious. I'm especially particular about pancakes, and I can honestly say they serve some of the best pancakes I've had. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and what stood out most was how genuinely happy all the staff seemed to be. It created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made our visit even more enjoyable. We would definitely return the next time we're in the area.

Crafted custom iced coffee was ordered and delivered directly from the barista. We ordered the Hot Honey & Pimento Cheese Fried Chicken Biscuit and the Brisket Hash. Absolutely delicious! The grits were the best. I don't eat grits because it's a texture thing but my husband talked me into it. They were so creamy and flavorful. I think you turned me into someone that will eat them again. The brisket hash was so good and the Certified Angus Beef was absolutely flavorful. Very nice atmosphere, very well maintained and recently vacated tables attended to quickly. The staff was super friendly and definitely a must go to place when in the area.

The inside isn't fancy but it's clean and perfectly presentable. The menu offered a good variety and everything looked good. My partner ordered the buffet and I ordered the special which was fish & chips. When my food arrived, it honestly looked delicious but my first bite was undercooked fish & batter. The batter was crispy on the outside but the inside was gloppy. It was disappointing to say the least. Now, I will say our young waitress said they were understaffed which could account for the fish being inedible. I will say another waitress was very kind and removed the item off my bill and was very gracious about it. My partner's food seemed to be quite good but the soups were extremely salty and the chilli was cumin heavy . So in all honesty, would I go back & give them another chance? Probably not . It's difficult to overcome a bad first impression

The service is superb, warm and inviting what you would expect from a southern style restaurant and very clean. The hot bard was always clean and fully stocked. We didn't have to wait too long before we were seated and we got our drink orders. The fried chicken was excellent. Some more of my favorites was the fried okra, wieners and sauerkraut, meatballs (specially seasoned) boiled cabbage, pasta salad, corn bread, banana pudding ( the best I have had in a long time} peach cobbler mmmmmm and they kept the cobbler and fresh cookies on a hot plate to keep them warm. What restaurant does that besides this one!? By the way the salad bar was well kept also. If those attention to details wasn't enough for you, the price includes your drink, and the coffee was so good I had 5 cups!

I'm reminded of an older homey diner, plenty of seating, plenty of staff assisting. Pre-pay, get seated, order you drinks and choose from so many southern dishes. The presentation was that of a cafeteria mixed with mix n match buffet equipment, I think this played part on how I choose my food. They home style choices were numerous so definitely something for everyone. What I did love about this restaurant, it was definitely serving the local community and based on the number of larger, multi generational families seen together it was truly heart warming. I think this environment is much better than a stuffy environment and great to see a community supportive of the locals. Close to Hwy 27 so in the mood for a large meal or just some home style cooking give it a try. Finally don't forget to pick up some local honey or goods.
