I recently visited Ruby nails, and only have great things to say. As soon as I arrived I had to check in and was seated immediately. Lee took care of me and she was amazing. I told her what I wanted and she did exactly that. It was my first time and not my last, I only needed an acrylic fill in with a cut down. I knew what color I wanted but wasn't sure of the number, but Lee searched and compared 2 similar colors and we chose the correct one. She was precise, clean, added oil and gave me an awesome hand massage at the end. The final price was $50 which is less than what I was expecting to pay. read more

Well, after multiple tries, will not be back. I'm so disappointed. I asked for a basic manicure - I don't know that I've ever had a place take the term basic so literal. She didn't touch my cuticles other than to cut them up (see pic) and I got one and a half layers of nail polish, and sent over to the dryer. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes. I've regularly gotten manicures other places that have actually taken time and pride in their service. We had appointments too, but I was rushed through for the next person. The kicker? It was 25$. I apparently wasn't eligible for the 5% off if you paid cash either, although the sign said any service over 20$. My 10-year old niece does a better job. As my, straight, male friend just asked "that's post manicure???" I'm pissed. read more

Terrible service. i registered for Gel X after tips were placed they bring out acrylic, I stated I wanted gel I was told that gel cannot be done over tips, that acrylic needs to be done then gel. I have had tips with gel for years, I especially wanted to try the gel x since they aren't as hard on the natural nail. I should have left but they did acrylic. When I went outside I saw very uneven wavy nail surface. I was highly dissatisfied with the whole process. I went to another salon to get them corrected and they are still terrible, too thick and uneven. Lee press on nail would have a better look around the cuticle. read more

Owwwwwww. This is the second time I have been to Ruby Nails. The first time was great. This time, 10 out of 10 fingernails have cut marks. I went in for a gel pedi and dip mani. I arrived at 1240 and left at approx 1630. The pedi was meh- toenail shape and length not consistent; polish not done to the edges; the tech cut my skin around the big toe and it is now red and irritated. For dip mani, I would give negative stars if possible. Everything that could go wrong did. I showed the color I wanted, two coats of dip were done followed by a coat of silver instead of mixing the colors. She continued instead of stopping and I again showed the picture for the third time and asked for assistance from someone else. Four hours spent when it should have taken two max. Thanks to Dani who fixed as best she could but the damage was already done. They gave me $15 off, it still cost $105, but will take a week to heal. I will give them another chance, maybe and will use Dani if I do go back. If they had comp'd the manicure it would have made a difference. read more

I have been here multiple times over the past 5 years, but my most recent visit was not as I'd hoped. I was a walk in for a pedicure, and I got in right away. However, the polish is uneven, with some really thin spots because there was minimal buffing to smooth any ridges. The borders of polish were ragged on some toes, with pooling in the crease of the nail border that wasn't cleaned up. The technician cut one of my big toe nails in an odd shape at the corner- cutting a lot deeper than the natural edge of the nail. They have a rewards program, and I have asked several times about applying rewards points, but there has never been any discount applied. I've never gotten any explanation of how the rewards program works, such as a list of how many points are needed for reduced prices. I've asked in writing via facebook message and in person. Other times I've been happy with their services, but my most recent pedi and a lack of clarity when asking for more information about the rewards program have made me look for other options. read more

Not pleased. Every nail is a different shape and very stubby like -- I thought the technician would never stop filing. The French is not clean whatsoever and paint is missing from the corners. It was a pleasant encounter upon walking in but it can be very aggressive with upselling. Pedicure was decent but I've had better, it was extremely rushed. My big toe polish is bumpy -- it's actually quite embarrassing so I'll probably spend my day tomorrow getting them removed and re-done elsewhere. Waste of over $100 dollars. My daughter raves about this place so we decided to go do manicures and pedicures. Graduation is right around the corner so I wanted to treat my daughter and she picked the place. The decor is fabulous. When you walk in, there's a large bar on the left and nail stations on the right. I. The back left are the pedicure chairs and on the right are a few rooms where they do waxing. We picked the deluxe pedicure and gel nails. Total for services was $138 plus a $20 tip. My daughter had a really great tech that took her time and did a fantastic job. She even got out the cheese grater thing to remove dead skin. She started with my daughter before me and finished after me. I had May...nice as can be but rushed through the services. I could tell she was anxious to get someone else in the chair to make more money. The pedicure I had was just okay. She didn't do a base coat on my toe nails and as I mentioned previously, she scrubbed my feat but skips the callous removal. They do give you a glass of wine and cheese, crackers and fruit, which is nice. For manicures I got a French manicure and my daughter go a single color...both gel. I had my nails done previously at Escape on Patterson and they did a great job. The manicure was flawless and lasted 3 weeks with a chip. I had them redone because of growth. I'm on day one (service in the evening before today and it's 2 pm) and I already have a chip. That's annoying given the price. My nails were also filed unevenly. My daughter loves Ruby's so I'll likely give them one more try. I'd pick Cindy as my manicurist because of the awesome job she did on my daughter. She truly pampered her. I will say the staff is super nice. Perhaps my service was a fluke. read more

I'm only giving this 4 stars because of Amy Tommy! I appreciate her professionalism, craft, and customer service after my frustration with Dani. If it was based on Dani it would be a zero!!! Dani made an appointment with me and then after 30 minutes of sitting and waiting told me she had customers and could not do my nails. Only after I asked how much longer. She never acknowledged me before that. I understand being busy but don't make an appointment if you can't honor it. I am from out of town and was recommended to come to her but never again! I don't appreciate how I was treated by Dani but am thankful that Amy Tommy was able to help! Ask for her when you call. Nothing worse than terrible customer service! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My nails are sore. - I went to get my nail color changed gel nails. "Nail Tech" never soak of my nails.. she side a drill bit to file it off. She left my nails un even and the polish was coming off. I called them the same day and they told me to come in the next day! I can in and they could remove the polish so they used the drill AGAIN. Guys,my nails beds are exposed! And sore the store manager said he would paint them... I declined and asked for a refund! They refused! I asked for the nail tech license they did not give it! I went to Ruby nails after a Ross run because they were so close and I saw they served drinks. The atmosphere was nice overall but my experience was so-so. When I arrived there was no wait and I was immediately sat for my pedicure. The water was luke warm even after I asked for warmer water. I didn't get my drink until about 10 mins after my service. That it self was just ok. She didn't rush thru but I do feel my application of gel is a little sloppy. I also feel them skimp in the profits used from just a small packet. I'm sure that's about waste management but it doesn't allow for the same moisture benefits. By the time she finished one leg she had to squeeze out every last drop to have barely enough for the second leg. I left and I felt my feet were dry even tho the deluxe pedicure says it will add moisture. The chair was also very uncomfortable. The champagne I had was very tasty tho. read more

They take their time and give massages to end your service... with mebeing new to the area this has been the only place I've been and keep coming back! I will not be going back here, overly priced and they do a horrible job. Service takes three hours and I promise you'll be out after the closing hours, it's cool they offer drinks/snacks but they also should ID people too. Which they don't. Secondly they rush and nails come out looking like trash. I'm over it and I will not be coming back to this location. I wrote I good review just so the manager can hop off my back when I complained about my nails from the beginning and I was dreading them fixing it because that's my time... I really enjoyed my brief visit to Ruby Nails while in town for a wedding. They were able to accommodate two of us for manicures when we walked in around 12 on a Sunday afternoon. I went for an SNS manicure, which while pricier than I'm used to, still looks great a week later. Their color selection was great too. The salon is nicely decorated. However, for an SNS manicure, they have you dip your finger into the main container/pot, rather than pouring the powder over your nails or putting it into a smaller separate container. This is not very sanitary, but everything else about this salon seemed very clean, so I'll give them a pass on the powder issue. They were also a little rushed with the preparation part of the manicure, cutting a cuticle, and then not pushing them back at all. Unfortunately, this means that my manicure will grow out quicker. When they ask if you want something to drink, know that that includes water, wine, and champagne and mimosas. Also, that when you say you want something to drink, they'll also bring you a plate filled with crackers, cheese, and sliced fruit. It's a very generous touch, just know to ask to pass on it if you truly just want something to drink. read more

The interior design of the salon was beautiful. Very clean, beautiful sinks, and even a massage while my nails were drying was very appreciated. I got a fill, an add on nail because one broke, and cut down for a total of $23. I usually pay more for that so I wasn't upset about the price. The manicure was alright, but in all- it was messy. My middle finger nail on my right hand is shorter than the others and the paint job is alright. This was my first experience coming to this salon and although it wasn't the greatest, I don't think I should judge them solely off of one performance. So, to start with the good. The staff seems really nice overall andddd they give you wine + snacks (fruit, cheese, & crackers) --I was won over instantly. Had an awesome spa pedicure where Anna took her time. And my SNS manicure was fine. When I get back to my hotel I notice there's a gap between my real nail and a tip I had applied on a nail that broke. I go back tonight to get it fixed -- they're mostly nice. Anna (who did my nails) was busy mostly so couldn't fix it herself. Then this other guy came over to help. Firstly, he seemed like he was super annoyed with me - when it wasn't my fault. He quietly reapplied a tip & then resushed through the SNS process. He left my "fixed" nail clumpy & poorly shaped :( It's always sad when salons don't want to fix something with the same enthusiasm as when you're paying to get a service done. Especially since it hasn't even been a full 24 hours. Wouldn't come back for that reason. read more
