I usually come here for eyebrows since it's very close to home but I feel like every time I go, the lady that waxes is busy doing toes which I completely understand but what I really dislike is how aggressive she is with the waxing because she wants to hurry. Last time I went I was convinced by them to get a pedicure which I don't mind because it was time and it was a great experience! A young gentleman took care of me, Mike very nice guy! The sign actually reads Ruby Nails & Spa. I loved the check in process and the environment is relaxing! Boy did I enjoy my pedicure by Mary. I opted for the Deluxe Pedicure with Natural IceDancer. It was a delightful experience that lasted for 45 minutes. I loved the professional of the nail techs and they were all dressed with professional attire with matching t-shirts with the business logo and pants/jeans. Mary paid special attention to every crevice to rid any hang nails or dead skin. You should definitely give them a try! I will be back! read more

I went in for a soak-off, and Nancy wrapped my nails and let them soak for two minutes before attempting to drill them off. I repeatedly pulled my hand away, telling her that it was enough and to let them "soak off." However, Nancy then had a pedicure appointment come in and rushed to remove the remaining nails. As soon as I left the building and got into my car, the pain hit. My real nails were ruined, and I had to cut off all my growth. I immediately called the shop and was told to come back the next day when the manager was in. That night, my nails were on fire--touching anything, even running water, hurt. The next day, I went in as soon as the shop opened to explain to the manager that Nancy had drilled my nails down too much, and now I was in pain with destroyed nails. The manager gave me several excuses, even though I clearly stated that Nancy had rushed and over-drilled my nails. I was offered a 50% refund because they used their products and could come back another time. I had to explain that I would never be returning because I was in pain and could barely use my hands. I requested a full refund, the manager was very rude gave me refund and told me not to come back. Worried more about losing product than a unsatisfied customer that is in pain. read more

The mani-pedi's are terrific. Everyone is very friendly, you always get greeted when you arrive. They offer refreshments including a glass of wine. They follow all the protocol of carefully not contaminating surfaces by washing everything after each customer. It's relaxing with the soft music and the pedi chairs are so comfortable with massaging options. Don't pass this little gem of a nail shop. read more

extremely unprofessional and racist. I brought my niece and sister in there who are both 16. they waited for an hour and a half while they let other white women with no appointments go before them. I walked back in and questioned the lady and eventually left. they apologized and offered to do it at that moment we were leaving but the damage was done. EXTREMELY unprofessional and racist. my kids go to daycare with a staff members kids. I FEEL SO SORRY SHE IS EMPLOYED AT THIS PLACE!! will never return and will tell everyone I know what a poor experience we had. This was CLEAR racism. read more

My niece and I came here for a special treat and were both left very disappointed. We started with the intention to both get manicures (her a full set, me a gel) and possibly pedicures but both of our manicures were so bad that we just left. My manicurist was nice but didn't stay in the lines and left my hands feeling rough and unfinished. My niece asked for matte but didn't receive it and also was left with chipped, rough edges. In the end we simply left and will go to a different salon to finish the job. Very disappointing. Oh - the staff don't wear masks until they're in front of customers. Proceed with caution. I grew up in Apopka I live out of town now and always still come here when I get my nails done. Never had a bad experience. Ladies always rmb me and are very sweet. However this new lady, well new to me Linda was very rude up front. I refuse to let her work on me and the owner gave me discount to stay. Could have been a bad day for her. Upon arriving I was greeted and sat quickly. However upon telling the nail tech that I just wanted a basic manicure (regular polish only) she kept trying to up sell me to gel or dip stating polish would chip in 2 days. I get the other two last longer but I often keep my nails natural and I didn't want to damage my natural nails. Once she finally took no for an answer she did the quickest and sloppiest manicure that I've ever had. It wasn't until I left the store that I noticed she missed many spots on the edges of my nails with the polish. I did not feel valued as a customer here at all and this was my second time. First time for me was ok but at that visit another patron had and issue with I believe the same nail tech not listening to what she wanted and actually stormed out in the middle of her service. read more

Went here for a pedicure on a gloomy afternoon. Three staff there but all were busy, so I had to keep my tootsies in the hot water for quite a while. (To the point where your feet start getting itchy and you sort of feel like leaving.) That was uncomfortable but eventually the two people next to me were done and I got my pedicure on. My girl offered the razor and I said yes. It's been a while since I was offered that (I mean, I thought it was illegal or something, no one ever does it anymore). So my feet are extra smooth. She really knew what she was doing - went really quick with short strokes. I felt okay about it. And the paint job was good and not rushed. Since this nail salon is next to my new Publix location (I just moved) it looks like I'll be back plenty of times. :) read more

The salon looked very bleak. I believe it is in the middle of a remodel but it was very not inviting. Hanny ran the water for me and then laughed when I put my foot in and said it was too hot. She also laughed when she hurt me by digging into my toenail. She then turned off my daughter's massage chair because it was "too loud." Never again. read more

I did not have a pleasant experience today. The nail tech scrubbed the side of my foot and hurt me. I was bleeding and told her and she didn't even apologize. I walked out of shop limping. It took a month for my foot to heal and i have a scar. read more

When I was there I told them I was my first time getting acrylics so I did really know but I told her what I wanted. She did them really long and I asked her to shorten them but she didn't do how much I asked. They were really crooked and didn't look good. So then i went back and they redid them just took off the nail polish and filled it didn't fix the acrylic that was under the nail when I asked she didn't do it. But I got it redone for free. read more

I am very disappointed with this place. I had paid for gel over my nails which is $25 for them, because they said it would last about 2-3 weeks in my nail. I called to let them know that my nails was chipping as it has only been 3 days since I got it done. He said once you leave the store they can't do anything about it. I spoke with the owner or whoever is in charge and he said "They have professionals there and he is not responsible for what happens to the nails after I leave. Because I could of gone to a pool or beach and all depends where my nails have been. So interrupted him and asked if I could speak now, since he would interrupt every time I tried explaining. I paid for this service and my nails are chipping and clumping only after 3 days.. He indicated you can come in and we can take a look but doesn't mean that they will redo them. Customer service would be that they say "I will take care of it" and an apology. Very disappointed and another thing half of the time they are not even speaking English which is so rude and talk to the other employees versus the customers. I honestly do not write reviews often. However, my experience at Ruby Nails was worthy of a review. I was the only person in the salon during a pedicure. I also asked for a manicure with the nail dip. (It literally takes 5 minutes to apply the nail paint). Anyway, the pedicure was complete and I was in the manicure chair awaiting my manicure. A lady walked in and made a fuss about her scheduled appointment with he owner. Apparently, the only person who was trained to do the nail dip was the owner and the lady had a scheduled pedicure with her. The owner asked me to wait until she was done with the pedicure. She could've asked somebody else to get the other lady started with her pedicure as there was nobody else qualified to do the nail dip. I wasn't able to wait as I had to pick my kids up from daycare. I was left in the dust and made to feel very disrespected by the owner. I felt like she was all about making money rather than about customer service. There was no apology or anything. I'm a very patient person, but I felt very disrespected. I will NOT be back! read more
