I'm not one to write reviews but hoping that they improve their practices in response because this was painful & really upsetting. I went in yesterday at 5:30 did a basic pedi (perfectly done) & then a mani. I usually have press ons because it's more affordable & I can grow out my nails. I just had soaked off and removed a set & my nails had a little residual glue & were fairly brittle but my cuticles were nice & well kept.... The woman who did them was in a rush & I was told it's her birthday so I was like okay totally fine like let's get you home to your family! She was looking around not paying attention & cut my cuticles/nail walls so badly I was bleeding. The polish was overflown, uneven & she skipped a coat on one hand. I didn't make a fuss bc I didn't want her to get in trouble especially on her birthday but wow they were awful & my fingers are still throbbing. I came in to get them fixed & had to do tips bc of how filed down they were & was charged 20 to do dip & extensions but I only did dip & extensions bc of the nubs & overly filed/uneven nails. It was quite painful getting them redone & she did glitter for free which is nice but personally if I hurt someone that much I wouldn't be charging a dime & would apologize. The woman who did my nails last night stood next to her the whole time & they were chatting which was uncomfortable in my opinion she also didn't apologize once& they chuckled whenever I winced or pulled my hand back out of pain. Would not go here again. My bf said to keep my nails done in anticipation of proposing soon & I really hope it's not this week:/ (light pink is last night & white is today & French is before) oh cherry on top I paid 55 plus 20% tip for this set! read more

Customer service is horrible. I've been a loyal customer for almost two years now and they never honor your appointment time. Every single time I come in with my scheduled apt they make me wait 30-45 min for my technician. They do not honor if you request someone specific. There is horribly time management and no structure. They are so afraid of turning away business you end up being there for 3+ hours getting your nails done waiting around. It's absolutely ridiculous! My nails honestly come out good and I have no complaints there but at the end of the day I am no longer coming here after consistently having my time be disrespected. They are not worth it! read more

Started off my birthday week with a little pampering. Im definitely a regular here since I love the way they do my pedicure. I plan on going back soon for a polish change. I was not feeling the diarrhea green nails they gave me on NYE but I was too much in a rush to change it that day. Found out later that it changes color. It went from cat eye green to a golden tone when cold . Okayyy, now I can deal with the color a little while longer. I sure wish the guy that did my nails would've told me this (I don't think he knew at all). Overall, this is one of my favorites in the Apopka area read more

I started coming to this salon about 4 months ago. When I first came Kim, the owner, did my nails. They were great! I soon found out it was hard to book an appointment with her. She stayed busy. The reason is one I will be paying for, for a while. Kim is the only good person there. I have sat with 4 other nail techs and no one else has done as good of a job as she did. I have been getting their Healthy nail care package but my nails have gotten weaker and weaker. The last visit was a little over a week ago and my nails lasted 3 days before they started crumbling. Everyday another nail cracked on the edge. Then they started lifted from the gel. I was in Miami for my aunts funeral and couldn't come back to the shop to show them what was happening. I just took pictures, I didn't think to call. What good would that do? When I did come back and showed Kim what happened she said I waited too long and she wouldn't redo my set and fix the damage. I'm in her shop every two weeks. $100 plus tip. I have never complained no matter how bad the set was because the nails were stable and not horrible. The one time one of her techs mess up she gets an attitude. She won't have to see me anymore. Funny thing a customer came into the shop complaining about her nails when I was getting my nails done. I should have taken that as a warning. read more

I just moved to the area and needed to get a gel manicure and cut my nails down a bit. The owner did my nails and the manicure has to be one of the best I have had in a very long time. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. Had a great first-time experience. So happy that I found this place! read more

I've been here a few times and never had a great experience. Every gel manicure has been uneven and an odd shape. I only had one kind technician. Every other technician just seems to be annoyed to be doing their job. No customer service, the owner has been really rude too. Once I asked for a design and the technician didn't know what he was doing. He showed me his design hoping I wouldn't say anything but I gave him a look and he just laughed and passed me off to someone else to fix it. The fix wasn't great either. I was thinking about going here to remove gel X that I got somewhere else, but I don't even feel comfortable doing that. That's why I decided to finally leave this review. They really need to fix a lot before I'd consider going back. read more

AMAZING!! I went in for two pedicures, one gel & one for my fiancé and we were both amazed at the quality! I had Holly and he had Lam and both were so genuine with what they did. They're a mighty awesome mom & son combo!! Lam would always ask if he was hurting my fiancé (which he never did), but it was so sweet of him to ask!! Holly had amazing masseuse skills and was so nice. Will definitely be back!! read more

fyi if you can avoid it do NOT come here on the weekends. If you do expect to WAIT and do NOT get upset if you end up waiting longer than 30 mins - you have been warned i've seen ppl storm out . this place does great work they take their time with each client - which is why it's so busy (why do you think the other nail place a few doors down is always open ? ) read more

I came in town and got my nails done and toes done. I always get OPI funny bunny color. Their polish looked old and the top coat has a tint to it. My nails lasted 2 days without chipping and now they are yellow. Also the person who did my nails was very lackluster and didn't put top coat over the whole nail. I do my our teen nails much better. Would not recommend for regular mani/pedi. The pedicure was relaxing but the polishing will need to be redone. read more

VIP Nails & Spa - Yellow nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Apopka, Florida

My daughter went to go get her eyebrows waxed at VIP nails & spa in the rock springs Publix plaza, where she always gets them done with the same person who has always done them. She had got her nails previously done at some other place. The lady took her to the room and proceeded to ask her a bunch of questions concerning her nails; where she got them done, who did them, how much experience they had and the cost of the nails, to which she answered all the questions. The lady then grabbed the scissors first and started to cut and then after waxed her eyebrows and ruined them completely. Eyebrows will grow back and she is beautiful but it's not fair that this happened to her. Please help me share so that no one has to go through this. read more

I typically do not leave reviews however after my experience I had no choice. I went into this nail salon a week ago to get a full set. 2 days later 2 nails had already fallen off. I went back in to get them fixed and I waited over an hour and a half for someone else to fix them. The original person who did them whom I believe is the owner didn't even acknowledge me. On top of that they didn't even match the color correctly and used a different color on the one nail. Here it is 3 days later and 3 more nails fell off. These nails haven't even lasted 2 weeks! I'm very disappointed with the lack of quality work. Acrylic nails should last longer. read more

Upset with how my nails are right now. I did a regular manicure and it didn't dry well because of how thick the layers of nail polish were (I waited for two hours and it didn't dry). There're also so many air bubbles it just looks terrible. I went back after three hours to complain and the manager didn't want to give me a refund. She said she'd fix it, but ended up doing another layer which made things worse. I ended up with terrible nails, she didn't give me a refund and told me I should've gotten the gel. read more

This place is close to home. It is clean and always busy. About half of my visits they have had a very long wait. They don't tell you - just put your feet in water and let you wait. Take people out of order. There are so many options. I will not return here. read more

I was ready to spend over $150 on a nice spa day. But no. I asked for VIP pedicure. $75 They give me $30 pedicure. I tell them what I want on my toes. They tell me no. Im flabber ghasted. I've been coming here for over 2 years and I think it's time to find some place new. I even asked for my eyebrows and they skipped it. I've never been so upset. When they don't give you what you want, be clear and say, I don't want that or they will push you into what you don't want to get your out faster. Im just upset because I've always been a big tipper 20-30%. I'm not a cheapskate, I want to give them my money but I refuse to be treated like that. read more

I wish I could review the actual pedicure. I needed a pedicure because I am wearing open toed shoes tomorrow and it is a big meeting. I stopped in And asked if there would be a wait because I could see they were busy. They said no and sat me in a chair. The water was lukewarm and I had to ask twice for the temp to be brought up. Then I sat for 45 more minutes. So at this point, I have been there for 50 minutes and not a toe touched. I had already had to take my now wrinkled feet out of the now cool water numerous times. Sooo I got on my phone and called the nearest pedicure place and they said come right over. When I started to get up to leave people started scrambling. Hooray! They now realized I was there in the very first pedicure chair. I told them too late I was going somewhere else. Let me add never once after the first five minutes did another person speak to me, offer me water, etc. i guess the Manager was the one who stopped me as I was going out. Begged me to stay and said she had no idea I was waiting so long. I told them the wait was ridiculous and that is why I asked if there would be a wait when I stopped in. I explained that had they been honest with me I would have said thanks and went somewhere else. Instead they wasted almost an hour of my time. I went five minutes away and was taken right in. I told them to look for my review on Yelp. read more

Don't bother making an appointment--you'll still sit in the pedicure chair waiting 30+ minutes for someone to get to you. I sat so long I took my feet out of the water because it was cold and my toes were pruning. The manager is terrible. The ladies who actually work there are nice. read more

I needed my nails redone after a terrible job at a different salon. The staff at VIP Nails were timely and courteous. Great place to get your nails done in Apopka! They're so kind enough to offer you some water while you're getting your nails done. This place is very nice and clean! They always have a lot of technicians and they are all very attentive. Thank you all for what you do! read more

Had my wife bring me here for a random pedicure, and found the whole place quite enjoyable. The massage chairs here are nice and new, and the whole experience just feels like they are there to pamper you. There are a myriad of options for pedicures, and I am no expert, so pick whichever one you personally enjoy. As for me, I did what was standard, along with a hot wax treatment at the end. The ladies here do a fantastic job and are all so very friendly. We left feeling like we had a mini day at the spa. The atmosphere is clean here, and the pricing is fair. I'd definitely return. read more

This place has a lovely seating area and pretty decent costumer service. LGBTQ+ friendly with their service. But. when it comes down to price. This is a place that will no doubtly charge a lot. I got medium length all black nails with gel polish and they were $80. Surrounding salons will charge that much for longer, and more intracate designs. The service wasn't bad, just pretty hefty of a price tag. read more

My first experience here was amazing. My second time was absolutely awful. I had an appointment and was not seen until 50 minutes after my scheduled time. No one even apologized for the wait. I paid for an upgraded pedicure and it felt super rushed. People who started before me were still getting their pedicure when I finished mine. Two of my toes bled. I felt super tense and not relaxed. The massage felt like someone was lightly stroking me in the same spot for 10 minutes. Most of my toes were only 3/4 painted and there was a bunch of excess nail polish on my skin. It looked like a 10 year old did it. read more

Literally they take freaking forever !!!! Just to do some damn toes !!!you can go in when they have no one and still the pedi will take almost 3 hours ! And they're just rude in there period ! The lady owner is rude and you can just get the sense she talks shit about you in her language. Then she has another pedi lady in their in the mid ages with a lighter brown hair , who is super Rude to. They have a male whose younger with glasses who is super sweet and quick and the male owner who does nails is super sweet toooo ! I gave this salon a bunch of times! I would just keep going back because they clean the cuticles of toes well! But now I'm DONE I'm never going again! read more

I came here for the first time on other positive reviews, and I was not disappointed! It's a little smaller than some places, but it was clean and everyone was very friendly! Tina did an awesome job on my powder dip and did a deluxe lavender pedicure. She didn't push the more expensive pedicures on me, but just gave me a menu to choose from. The deluxe pedicure was $35 and the dip powder on my natural nail was $30 which is super reasonable compared to other places I've been to for dip. Definitely will be going back!! read more

TONY did a great job on my nails as usual but the girl that did my pedicure did not do such a good job. Tony had to do my gel at the table on the floor and my feet have never been so dry after a pedicure. read more

My normal go to nail shop that is close to home. Recommend going on a Sunday morning as soon as they open as this nail salon gets packed and does not have the staff to support customer demand. Only downfall about this nail salon is the long wait times. Quality of service is excellent and top notch. Owners and staff need to work on communicating an accurate wait time. Have personally left the salon when my pedicure did not start for over 40 minutes while sitting in the pedicure chair soaking in cold water. read more

Place is beautiful, clean and the technicians are friendly/professional. When you are being taken care of, they give you their full attention. However, BEWARE: they are VERY disorganized schedule wise. I always made appointments (standard mani/pedi) and every time, I end up waiting a least 10 - 20 minutes before getting started with my pedi and then another 30 - 45 minutes for my mani... what should be an hour and a half relaxing experience usually turns into a 3+ hours affair. I find it very frustrating that they just don't respect people's time. Also, I understand walk-ins are welcome but they shouldn't take the place of people who made the effort to call to reserve their spots. I've seen many people storming out of there...If you chose to go to this salon, you better arm yourself with lots of patience. I've given them plenty of opportunities...I'm done. read more

Tony is always amazing and makes sure my nails are nice and even and takes his time. I had Yen for the first time today and she was rushing through my nails. She seemed annoyed anytime I asked for a modification (I came in for a fill- she didn't ask if I wanted them filed down. When I did ask she didn't file it into its original shape. When I told her I wanted the original shape she seemed annoyed). When she asked if my french tip was okay I asked her to make it a little thinner of a line & she said "Well if the line shows I'm not redoing it". Overall very rude and will most likely not be back especially with rising prices. Two stars because Tony is amazing and the other staff have been nice. read more
