He listened to what I wanted and was ok with my showing him a photo. He took time to actually LOOK at my hair and ask questions about what I wanted. He explained prices and exactly what he was going to do. He really took the time to fix the damage done to my hair and for the first time in a long time I feel like myself again. Bad service, the timing was ridiculous ( they kept me waiting around forever) I left this salon with a headache from the stress I had there. I drove there for about ONE hour to get a haircut with Michelle but she never showed up and I was told by the other stylist that Michelle texted my sister to cancel the appointment two days before the appointment time which was a total LIED. Because she didn't want to admit that she forgot the appointment with me. This business doesn't know how to pay respect to customers' time and effort. No wonder why they didn't have any customers when I got there. Please it's an insult to charge what they did for the service received. The staff are unfriendly and have an awful atmosphere. I booked an appointment at the beginning of the week for a curly cut. When I arrived to the salon (again, DAYS after booking the appt), I was asked to wait to meet my stylist. I was brought back to her chair where she asked me to describe what I'd like. She proceeded to say that she did not feel comfortable cutting my hair type. While I am grateful that she did not jump in while unsure, I did find it pretty upsetting that the stylist and the salon chose to handle this embarrassing situation in front of other clients rather than calling me beforehand or even speaking with me at the front of the salon. Likewise, I have a difficult time understanding the purpose of submitting pictures in advance (which the stylist stated she saw), but then waiting until after I have driven to the salon to discuss. J. Bauman was actually in the salon while this was happening and offered no reassurance or alternative. He sat on his phone in the front of the salon while the stylist told me how "awkward" the situation was. The best that they could provide was asking me to come in a different day (mind you this haircut was for my graduation the next day.) If you have textured, curly hair, I'd be extremely wary of booking with the curly cut stylist and this salon in general. I found that EDUCE down the road was a similar price point with a much more understanding and qualified staff.

(Shiny stuff tied into your hair, lasts a few days or a few months depending on your hair). They have 'Nole, Gator, UCF, Magic and Bucs colors, plus some fun colors like Purple. I met Mel Rose and some of the other staff and everyone was very nice. My husband got a short chair massage that night and really enjoyed it. After Jingle Eve, I knew I had to return so I could get a massage. Booking was super easy and they got me in quickly. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment time and went through the front entrance (facing Virginia) which is the salon entrance. The massage area is actually in another building in the back. The staff member walked me there and I was greeted by Mel Rose. She is so kind and welcoming. After filling out some paperwork, we talked a little about any pains I was having, what kind of work/ activities I do, etc. Then we got right to it. The massage was just the perfect pressure. I felt extremely comfortable the entire time. I was super relaxed. I had this really stubborn knot in one of my shoulders, which Mel Rose worked on... I felt so much better after that.
