Why in the world is there no rule that the masseuses cannot have a full on conversation with each other during the massage? We are paying $70per person to relax, not listen to strangers chat right over us. We use to come all the time and it was usually the same problem. It was the first time we've come back after a long time and we're pretty disappointed that we had to listen to the ladies talk the ENTIRE massage. They also left the light on for half the session for some reason. If they want happy clients and a good tip, they should really manage the chattering. read more

This was quite literally the worst massage I've ever had. I must've said "please stop, that's hurting" at least 4 or 5 times and normally I won't say a word even if there's a few uncomfortable parts. It was like her sharp elbow was digging in at all the wrong places. I'm thinking she just is not a trained masseuse and was filling in maybe. I don't know but it was not okay. I tipped $5 and she asked for more but I wouldn't be able to justify that to myself. I already felt like I was wasted the $65 and wasted my time. Came here about 2 weeks ago. We were able to get squeezed in at the time I selected. Cash only The place itself is clean and calming. The bathrooms are clean and the rooms are set up nicely. So... we payed for an hour massage with hot stones. You pay upfront first. The massage didn't start until 2:18 or so and the massage ended a little before 3. So we didn't get a full hour at all. And before the massage even started I heard the lady book a massage for 3:00 so I already knew we were going to be rushed. The lady who I had was very nice. And she kept telling me to make sure I let her know if she was going to hard... and I kept telling her softer and she would forget and laugh and then she would go hard again 20 or so minutes later. Her movements were very rushed and fast. You could clearly tell they were rushing. When she went to wipe me down with the hot towel it was such a mess with her vigorously scrubbing my body quickly. Massages are supposed to be soothing. With slow intricate movements. And all I got was very fast and rushed. I even gave them a tip despite them cutting my time down. It's a shame I wouldn't mind going back here again.. but I don't think I will. read more

I use to love this place!! Not anymore. Ruby no longer owns this place and new management is horrible. They leave you naked on the bed while they walk out.... And they don't close the door!!! The massage sucked! The gals hand smelled like garlic. They kept talking to each other -- going in and out of the room. They even switch gals! What the heck ?! I also gave her a week notice that I was coming in with 3 other gals (again, not aware that ruby no longer owns the place). When we got there she was still short staff. I waited 45 mins for the last gal to get a massage. This is horrible! If you come here, expect to be left naked in the room while they walk out and not close the door. I am NEVER EVER coming back!!! UPDATE: I am BRUISING on my hand from where she went over the bones. This place is a joke. I've never felt worse after a massage until today. I didn't know it was possible. Avoid at all costs or at least until there's new management or something. Called yesterday to make an appointment for a long-overdue couples massage that evening. We showed up, the the gal at the desk said she "forgot" about us and to come back tomorrow; then she said she made it for the next day and we came at the wrong day?? I figured it was the language barrier and decided to come back because of the good reviews, and I hadn't had a massage in years. From here I don't even know where to go. It was a train wreck. A woman placed my husbands hot stones and my cups, and after we sat alone for 15 minutes she came back and started massaging my husband while I just waited with the cups on my back. I have had fire cupping before and this was NOT it. I had to mention twice they were uncomfortable before she took them off. My husband continued to get a massage for 20 minutes while I waited. When I finally asked if I would be getting a massage the lady said there wasn't anyone else, and that she'd get to me. She asked if I wanted stones too and I said no, I wanted a massage. About 40 minutes in, we heard several people come in. One came to our room and our gal and this other lady proceeded to yell at eachother and a third person came in and began to "massage" me. This was not a massage. This was rubbing oil on me. No pressure. When I asked for more pressure this person put pressure ON MY BONES. It was clear this person was completely inexperienced and I suffered as a result. She went over the bones in the top of my hand too hard (ouch), stepped right on the back of me knees (ouch), and overall just yanked me around while not actually doing anything therapeutic. On top of that, I have an incredibly obvious injury- I am literally missing my right elbow instead have an 8 inch scar- and this. woman. Went. Over it. Like she had no understanding of anatomy. I literally had to stop her because she didn't pick up on my squirming. The fact that this wasn't the only time I had to stop her because she was HURTING ME was staggering. At no point did any of my knots- which my husband said feel like steel cables- get worked on. Meanwhile, whoever was working on my husband apparently did a great job. I got to sit there alternately having my bones rolled over or getting oil rubbed on me while she did a fantastic job working on my husbands knots and finding issues he didn't know existed. Honestly, this is the only reason they get 2 stars. Otherwise it would be 1 only because I can't give 0. I am bitter af but am truly happy he had a good massage. Around the top of the hour my husbands masseuse left the room and mine continued to work on me as if to make up for the time I spent waiting earlier... while my husband just waited and waited. I was so angry I tried gently to tell the woman to just stop and let us go, but the language barrier must have been such that she completely did not understand and just waited for me to stop talking for her to continue. I'm not gonna raise my voice or be a jerk so all I could do was shut up and wait for it to be over. The massage continued to be awful. The way she bent me around roughly mixed with a "scalp massage" that is just gentle scalp scratching...was just a bad joke. When we left they asked how we felt, and when i said it wasn't great the two women literally just laughed. This massage was so bad and so disappointing that I literally just started crying when we got to the car. I was hurting in ways I didn't know I could and was out $140 ($120+tip, because were not *ssholes who don't tip). I have never ever been so angry, sad, in pain, and completely futile before as a result of patronizing someone's business. I want to make sure it's clear that I don't think these two women were terribly at fault here. The first one seemed apologetic and frantic that she had two people to work on, and I truly, EARNESTLY believe that the second was thrown in there with little to no training. Whatever angry conversation was had when the other people finally came seemed to lead to this woman giving a massage that she wasn't ready to give. I was just a casualty. Please find somewhere else go to. I am not a very emotional person but this experience brought it out of me in the worst way. Save yourself the time, money, and health. read more

They ask for payment upfront which is fine and they also ask for tip upfront and its kind of hard to tip before services because you don't know what kind of service you will be receiving and so I tipped $15 for my $60 service and the lady kept pointing to the receipt and saying "little bit more" and so I finally said to her "NO" I am not going to tip a little bit more because this is being more than generous. I got $60 service and am tipping $15 which is 25% She went on to say little bit more, little bit more. At this point I asked for a refund and said that I will go somewhere else for my massage and she then said no ma'am I give you massage and so after wasting 10 minutes of mine with this nonsense we go to the room for my massage and then thru out the 40 minutes of massage she kept saying tip should be nice and more. Was shopping around for a new massage place and decided to book an appointment after reading Ruby's reviews. I was not disappointed! One of the best massage I ever had. Not only did Ruby worked on my knots, she also cracked my neck (Rt, left, and something similar to a ystrap with a towel-a head/neck pull..all cracked like a glow stick. It felt amazing. When she stepped on my back she popped both of my shoulders, and hips. She also popped my wrists while using her feet. My body felt realigned and relaxed from head to toe. Okay. I had read some mixed reviews and could understand how some people thought the motions felt rushed and weren't able to relax. It was definitely a different experience than the place I have been going to for 2 years. Now my issue was with the fact that it became noisy in the hallway with about 20 minutes to go. That definitely hindered my relaxation and I get that maybe they can't ask their other guest to be quiet, but some random lady came chasing me out when I left asking if I was going to tip her. She wasn't even my lady, and I had tipped before hand. That was the rudest encounter I have ever had anywhere. I was nearly to my car when she ran out yelling at me to tip her. The lady that performed my massage came running out to tell her I already did. I will never come back here. I get massages pretty often especially on my birthdays and on vacations to Thailand, Hawaii, Catalina Island.. you name it. To think the best massage is here in town, down the street from me. Didn't find that out till the lady was doing my massage and how different it was. I paid $60 with the old owners for a deep tissue massage and after I paid them and had the massage with the new people for $60 , I gave her a tip and she kept pressuring me for more money. Like who does that I should give what I want for a tip. The way she was coming at me like if I was not paying for services. I ended up paying $15 for a tip and after I thought about it I paid almost $80 for which she tells me that a deep cost $80 and they gave me wrong price $60 for deep. Decided to try a new place, over all I would say the experience was good. It was a bit chilly in the room & the music was w bit on the loud side ( I think to drown out noise from building next door). The sign outside was a bit misleading, it seemed that the massage included either hot stones or cupping; but it's extra. I guess they initially had a grand opening offer which made those part of the package but not now. The massage was pretty good, I have a personal thing about being "even" on both sides. So if you run my left arm for 5 mins and only rub my right arm for like 1/2 a minute...I feel 'off'/uneven! Lol this happened a couple times. Its like just one side of my body got a massage. The petite masseuse had tons of strength (in a good way). They ask how much pressure I preferred. If you've never had this massage before be prepared for them to touch your butt, a lot.
