A guest introduced us to the owner Ruby! Good chat. This diner has been open for 19 years. The parking lot was packed on a Sunday. Lox on an everything bagel. Mocha plus brown sugar and cinnamon syrup. Flat white. Sandwich

Their bagels are amazing! The cheddar bagel with green chile cream cheese is a must try. The prices are super reasonable. My parents live in Santa Fe and drive to Los Alamos for these bagels at least once a month that's how good they are.

Whatever I've said about jalapeno bagels being my favorites is long gone. I have found the perfect bagel, and that is the green chile bagel, specifically from Ruby K's in Los Alamos. My intention was to stop in this cute little cafe for just a regular bagel and butter but after surveying the menus for a moment I realized I needed to try one of their signature sandwiches. I chose to belly up to the "Up & Atom" (eggs and sausage topped with salsa and melted cheddar cheese on a green chile bagel, $5.69). The namesake derives from the town's popular Manhattan Project National Historical Park Visitor Center just across the street. Holy wowza, this bagel was DA BOMB (get it?). The bagel itself was SPICY, the egg super moist and the sausage bursting with flavor. I loved the salsa and there was plenty of cheddar. I'm sure Ruby's got some other kickass goods on her menu but if you ask me, this sandwich has gotta be one of the best picks. It's just SO GOOOOD! Also, I appreciated the complementary orange muffin. The sugar served as a great contrast to my spicy sammy.

There is nothing that excites me more than the thought of getting a fun little iced coffee and scrumptious little bagel sandwich. My sister is working at LANL for the summer and so we came to Los Alamos to explore and learn some history of her context. This was the perfect fuel for our adventurous day!! I had the bagel sandwich on an everything bagel and it was phenomenal. We also enjoyed a blueberry bagel which was fresh and the perfect bagel consistency. The mini muffin was a happy surprise!! I loved the view of the historic post office across the street!! Parking was tough as the lot filled up quick but we were able to street park a few blocks down. Ruby K's is the perfect spot to stop and fill up before a day exploring Los Alamos!

I had the Lots of Lox bagel sandwich and it was all that I expected it to be. It has smoked salmon, cream cheese, red onion, capers and tomatoes over a bagel. I opted for the green chile cheddar version for my bagel and it was good. What wasn't good was the long wait and also the fact that someone who arrived 20 minutes after me had their food prepared before mine. I assume this was because they are a regular, but that kind of treatment is not going to make me become one.

I'm in Los Alamos a lot for work and food options are very slim. This place is definitely one worth going to! The bagel sandwiches are very tasty and the smoothies are refreshing.

Good coffee, great breakfast options and plenty of seating/parking. My favorite is the beagle breakfast sandwiches they offer.

Excellent variety of bagels. Breakfast sandwich was very good. One of top 2 bagels we have had. Highly recommended.

Looks like they make their own bagels. I didn't have one though. I had their special French toast with strawberries and whipped cream. Also had a London Fog with espresso and blackberry flavor. The place was well decorated, clean, and had a wide array of baked goods that looked delicious. There was a large dining area with soft jazz music playing, reminiscent of a bagel shop in NYC. Prompted by one of the other Yelp reviews, I ordered the breakfast sandwich (choice of bagel, eggs, cheese, and meat). I opted for turkey sausage on a red chile bagel. I also ordered an iced Americano since they didn't offer cold brew. The Americano was refreshingly strong and very tasty. The espresso didn't taste burnt or like the machine hadn't been cleaned in a while (you can tell). Sadly, the breakfast sandwich was underwhelming. There was a large quantity of eggs and not enough cheese, and the flavor of the red chile was overpowered by everything else. Next time, I'd like to try a toasted bagel with a cream cheese that accentuates the flavor of the bagel.

To eat, I ordered the Ham, Fig, and Brie sandwich, and it was delicious. It had just the right amount of meat, cheese, and fig spread, all held together by a crisp French baguette and grilled just enough to warm everything through and soften the cheese. The side of "mixed greens," however, was comically small (see photo). My wife ordered the Avocado Chicken Caesar with kale and cucumber. She said it was very tasty; with a great mix of ingredients and a dressing she really enjoyed. The only downside was that the chicken could have used a bit more flavor. The staff was friendly and efficient, getting our food out quickly despite being busy. We especially enjoyed sitting outside in the courtyard/alleyway area, which had a nice atmosphere, though our table was unfortunately very sticky.

There is plenty of seating in the room next door, and it appears they may be expanding that room. In the main room, you walk up to the counter and order, then your food is brought out to you. We got sandwiches and bowls and the food was great. Fresh and healthy. I also got some kind of maple cream cold brew; I did have to ask for more maple flavor because I wanted my drink a bit sweeter, and the barista graciously added it without charging extra. They seemed to have interesting pastries and bagels, and the shop is also a market with fancy snacks and other provisions. I was tempted to take home a unique chocolate bar or jam, or something savory like a wacky bag of popcorn, but we were maxed out on snacks at our Airbnb, so I refrained. They had a wide selection of this kind of stuff. All in all, it was the perfect spot to grab lunch in the late afternoon while cruising around the Plaza on a hot day. The service was friendly, and so were the other customers!

I dined with my wife and 10 others at a large table during the Santa Fe Foodies meet-up. I tried the BLUE CORN ENCHILADA CASSEROLE with chicken and Red/Green Chile (Christmas). Added an egg. The green chile was somewhat flavorless, while the red was better, with nice heat, but far from the best in town (IMHO, thus far, Café Castros). The chicken was nice, as was the garnish of lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro, and sour cream. But for $22, I was underwhelmed. My wife and four others had the special, which was Eggplant Parmesan. It was okay, but again, nothing special, and the 'garlic' bread lacked both garlic and flavor. This dish came with a salad; the server never asked what anyone wanted for a dressing, instead providing different salad dressings to other people. The service was subpar; the servers didn't know who ordered what, even though all the food arrived at the same time, which can be challenging for a table this big. We were presented with our checks without being offered dessert. No one recalled being asked if we were pleased with the food. The restaurant is rather loud, and the wooden chairs lacking cushions are rather uncomfortable. The food and service weren't bad, but it wasn't such that I'd be inclined to return, considering there are so many other, better options in this foodie town. It is nice that the restaurant has ample parking in this part of town. All in all, underwhelming, average, three stars.
