    Barbacoa dipping juice
    Elizabeth I.

Let me start with the customer service is good. The Ruben's hot sauce is full of flavor and heat. The chicken Birria have flavor, I'm not a fan of the beef birria or the juice to dip it in. The hot sauce brought the flavor to the whole meal. It's a little over priced.

Choose a Quesadilla with chicken and shrimp.

I had ordered take out due to time. The restaurant had limited seating (2 tables). I like the fact that I can see the cook, while he was preparing our food, but I wasn't paying too much attention. The restaurant has a convenient store inside, so I got distracted and started buying junk food for later.. The ordering was all digital, which we like; and the service was great! The food was even Better!! I ordered a carnitas and shrimp quesadilla and it was so good! The only thing that would make this meal great would be more sour cream! I'm a sauce girl and I think I could use more sauce; I got 3 sauces and 1 sour cream, but the cups was tiny. I also had some horchata which was cold and good. I will be stopping there again!

During a busy week I stopped by to grab and go. While customer service was a bit gruff considering it wasn't busy, the food was delicious! Of course no white glove here, but when I asked for a receipt, it wasn't itemized and was charged 'one comida'. I've not been to their restaurant but had I known, perhaps price points are at least shared. The truck itself is clean, has a picture board and options posted, and marked clear of other locations. We chose two orders of quesabirria (half/4pcs), an order of chicken flautas (5pcs), and a gordita al pastor. Quesabirria is meaty hefty and cheesy loaded, consome on the side! The flautas was crispy and packed with shredded chicken, and the rice and beans were seasoned well. The lettuce were not limpy at all lol! I took a bite out of the al pastor and the ratio of protein and pineapple was money. Esooo, fuego! Not a cloud on this stone, Taqueria Los Jarochos food truck is a diamond on Ritchie Highway. Easy to bypass, they're staged in front of a red and black building, next to BoA, opposite side of HP Racing. Pull up and get some food truck grub and grab a spot at the picnic tables!

El Salto Mexican Restaurant - Prices Up, Quality Didn't Follow…read more El Salto used to be the spot. Packed house, sizzling fajitas, margaritas everywhere -- it had that lively, go-to Mexican restaurant energy. Now it looks like a lot of money went into renovations... and those costs landed on the menu. The problem is, the food quality didn't rise with the prices. It cost about $40 for my daughter and me to eat. She had a single taco with very little cheese and a big serving of rice and beans. My three-item combo was around $14-15, which sounds reasonable until you realize most of it is melted cheese, tortillas, and a low-grade beef mix. The crumbly cheese was hard to find, but queso was layered through everything. Then they charge $6 for a small side of queso, which feels wild considering how cheese-heavy the plates already are. Drinks were about $4, which is normal. Service was fine. But when the total creeps toward $40 for mostly cheese and filler, it's hard to justify. This place used to be known for great fajitas and a fun atmosphere. Now it feels like you're paying updated prices for the same old ingredients. Renovated space, not renovated flavor.

We only waited about 5 minutes to be seated, which was great for a weekend evening. Once seated, we perused the menu and our server was attentive but not overbearing. I ordered the 3 hard shell steak tacos supreme, and while they were pretty average, I'll admit they were definitely a step above Taco Bell . My friend went with the #6 Dinner Combo (enchilada, taco, rice & beans) plus an extra beef taco--and they were very happy with their meal. The real highlight, though, was the birthday celebration--complete with a sombrero and lots of laughs. You can tell the staff really enjoys making guests feel special. Overall, El Salto has friendly service, solid prices, and a festive atmosphere that makes it perfect for group celebrations. I'll be back next year for the annual birthday dinner... and this time, I've got my eye on the fried ice cream! Pro tip: Come with friends--it's way more fun when you're celebrating something!
