And we were surprised how quickly the food came out; I didn't time it, but I think it was less than 10 minutes. I had ordered black beans over refried beans. I ate like 3 bites of the black beans, and I told my girlfriend try the black beans and tell me your thoughts. She said these didn't taste good. I said yeah my feeling, too salty. As a matter of fact, these were the worst black beans I've ever had in my entire life. Server was just sitting at the bar; granted they were pretty slow in the restaurant. We flagged someone over who got her attention. She came around. I politely said the black beans were terrible, too salty, please take them back. We will do the refried beans instead. They quickly got us the refried beans. They weren't what refried beans are supposed to be, which is a thick texture, which takes a bit of force to use your fork. These refried beans, were very runny liquid instead of thick solid. I will say that the refried beans didn't taste bad and far superior to the disgusting black beans. But these were still pretty pathetic. As for the rice, it was pretty good. The enchiladas were solid. I've certainly had better enchiladas, but these were good. After we were done eating, the server came back with our bill. Later that night, my girlfriend made an interesting point I didn't think about at the restaurant. The server didn't ask if wanted any dessert, water refill, or anything else. I was done with my water, but I was ok and would've spoken up if I had wanted more water. But it was like she wanted us to get out of there simply presenting the bill. My girlfriend paid for this meal and asked my opinion on the tip, which I said whatever dollar amount like $5 or whatever, which was roughly 18%. I didn't think she was terribly friendly, but was efficient but also never offered water refill during the meal. But the more I thought about it, we were disrespected at the end with her simply slapping the bill down, and I said we should tipped lower. Maybe like $3 (closer to like 12%) instead of like $5. In summary, we probably wouldn't go back here again even though the enchilada was good. My girlfriend did say the quesadilla was strong. They'd have to improve their beans. I'd do a pick two with quesadilla & maybe enchilada.

I recently visited this authentic restaurant and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The moment I walked in, I was immediately struck by the ambiance and vibe of the place. It truly transported me to a local SoCal taqueria. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I asked if they could make me a custom torta with carne asada and two over medium eggs, and they were more than happy to oblige. The result was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and satisfying, and I couldn't have asked for a better meal. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic dining experience.
