My experience mirrors a negative review below in that I had to redo Tony's expensive work because he did not do the job to CA code requirements. It is astounding to think that on a $2k job he would try to save maybe $50 in material rather than do it to code. My husband even asked him about the wire size he was using and when confronted he says it is to code and fine. Only after he pressed it further, did he finally relent and said my husband was right but that it would be fine and the code was too strict. I'm still waiting for him to refund our money. His worker was also sloppy and messy and not very professional. This was about a year ago so I don't recall his name. If he was a dirt cheap electrician I could maybe understand his thinking, but when he charges top dollar and you get subpar and amateur quality work there is just no point in entertaining his offer for your job. Maybe he can do a ceiling light or fan, but I would not trust him to do anything that required higher gauge wire that one day might lead to your house burning down because he skimped out.

Just keep in mind Brite Electrics has supposedly moved from Rancho Bernardo and currently located in San Marcos, but they were quick and prompt. Just be mindful that they will give you a 2-hour window to show up at your door.

We didn't know anyone so our realtor recommended Justin, she said she had used him for the same situation before. We discussed we could get the repairs done that we needed and if there was any remaining credit we would be issued a refund. Some of the repairs on the home needing to be done were urgent such as unsafe flooring on the second floor. Unfortunately justin was not able to communicate over the phone but was always responsive to texts. He was unable to do the work in a timely fashion. To do the work listed below it took him over two months of us begging him to come out or to send someone out. On several occasions he told us he would come but never did. Then when he did come we'd ask how much the work was costing so we could keep track of how much of the funds we were using. Justin never provided us with a bid, receipt, price, invoice or anything. Most of the work was actually performed by other contractors he sublet to but he was also not able to provide their invoices. As communication with Justin became increasingly unprofessional (every time we reached out via text he would let us know due to extreme personal difficulties he was not able to handle our account) we asked to be credited our remaining funds so we could get the rest of the work done by another contractor. After several weeks of requesting invoices for all work performed Justin sent a handwritten invoice for a lump sum charge of $10,400 and told us we spent all the credit. This is also after he told us he'd be providing us a discount. We asked for supporting documentation such as materials costs, receipts, and invoices from the sublet vendors to support this price. We have not received anything. We have threatened small claims court to which he responded "You can't file a claim in court that will hold you're just wasting time let's not threaten me with the court system because this will backfire in you as I have my ducks in a row.
