My dad said he had seen RT Tire on a TV commercial and I should check them out before spending $460 on two new tires. I called and inquired and was helped by Mike who was amazing. I purchased two tires over the phone and told him I would be in that weekend. I made the trip the next day. Although it took me an hour to get there it was worth it. I went in Friday, 2/10/17 around 5pm and was greeted by Manny. I told him I had purchased some tires over the phone, and Mike goes ohh you came early. Kevin got my tires and asked if I wanted to see them. I said honestly I don't know what I'm looking at, but thank you. I went to their waiting room and did some homework as I waited. Patrick came and gave me updates frequently, which was appreciated. I was the only customer in there at the time. Patrick also rung me up and thanked me for my business. I spent $250 on two tires, wayyy better than $460 at the dealership. As he pulled my truck around I asked him about my front two tires. He said I have about another 1,000 miles, then come back and see him. I was in and out in 30 minutes. The customer service from when I called and inquired, to when I arrived days before I was suppose to, to the friendly & professional atmosphere, this place is 5 stars. I've never bought a used tire before. Took a screw through a $250 new tire and not in the position to buy another set I figured I'd check them out. They tried to patch, ($20 bucks), and it was to close to the sidewall and didn't hold air so they didn't charge for it. So now I'm at the "OK, I need a replacement tire". Another well-deserved 5 stars for RT Tire! I'd had an appointment at Sears and was told to wait 3 hours for a leak in my tire or 'come back tomorrow.' Not having any more time to spend on the tire leak, I looked to Yelp and found RT Tires. Yay! They welcomed me as a walk-in and I was in and out of there in under 30 minutes. What is especially notable is that they re-set my computer tire indicator which Sears had not adjusted a week ago on a different small leak and had told me to return only if it did not automatically reset - which is flawed logic. In the week that I thought the car was still re-setting the computer, my back tire got a slow leak. Had AAA not told me that it was a leak and not just a tire needing air, I'd still be driving around thinking, as Sears told me, that I was waiting for the car to automatically reset. RT Tire you guys totally kick ass again for the second time. Now it's all 5 stars vs 4 in my first review. Second time around you guys have saved me so much money its crazy! Yesterday i happened to be browsing around craigslist and I came around some tires that I needed. Surprised and shocked they happened to be the right size! I couldn't believe it! So as usual I called Manny at RT Tire and double checked the size and sure enough they were. So I told him to hold the tires and I will be there around 100pm. He knew i was coming from San Jose so again I made it very clear. As soon as I arrived the tires were in brand new condition 95-100% with the exception of 2 having a nail but easily patched and fixed at no cost. BTW these tires were Michelin Latitude Touring HP. 235/55R/19. These are not cheap tires! Excellent price! Saved me thousands and I mean it! No Bullshit! DON'T EVER GO HERE! They sold us 3 defective tires. We discovered this when one had a nail in it, and we took it in to America's Tires for repair, and they wouldn't even put it back on because the beads were ripped, and one had an illegal patch. RT had originally told me that the installation was guaranteed as well, but when we returned the used tires, they told me that it wasn't. So we did not get all our money back. They were very pleasant when we initially made our purchase, but not at all when we returned the tires. read more

Came in for a pair of tires and Jason helped me out right away. He was very friendly and extremely helpful. Gave me all the options available and told me how much tread was left on my tires. My back tires were just fine with 80-90% left but my front were worn. He gave me a quote out the door for the front and they were brand new! I had to come back about an hr later and Manny finished helping me make the purchase. I didn't once feel taken advantage of or pressure to buy something unnecessary. To top it off, my girlfriend came in with me to get a quote. Manny told her she was still good for another 2 months. No need to spend money too early and right before the holidays! Well when you drive up have 2 guys standing at the front door smoking and they great you in a cloud of smoke you get the idea of what you're in for. (Late post: Visited this place last month) Originally was told about this place from my brother who got a set of 4 used tires for his old Honda Civic Hatchback. My brother lives in Richmond, CA and said this place was worth the drive for him and also for me since I live in Hayward, CA (approx. 45 minutes away). I sent an inquiry via email and Larry responded that same day. Unfortunately, they didn't have the tires I needed for my BMW X5 but he was of great help and advised me to call anytime as they replenish their inventory often. I then called back weeks later and spoke with Manny. Manny explained to me that they only had one set of used tires with about 70% tread left. I asked him to put it on hold as I was coming from Hayward. Once I showed up, he had them right there and immediately got me set up for installation with the folks in the back (really cool brothers installing the tires in the back, by the way!). I was in and out in less than an hour. The staff with Larry and his emails, Manny over the phone and in person, and the brothers in the back were all awesome. I've been buying tires at RT for the last few years for my cars, in addition to my kids' cars. Always a positive experience with the price and the service. I was quoted $1300 from the dealership for 4 Continental tires (MBenz) and RT had 4 Continental for $300 out the door. Before I told RT the type of car I had I asked where the tires came from. All he could tell is they came from a MBenz dealership (yay!). Another time I had a nail close to the sidewall and was told I needed a new tire. RT was able to get it repaired at no cost since the tires were bought from them. I've been referring people there and they too are happy with the prices and customer service. read more
