Dear Tim and Magic Sun…read more Thank you so much for the trouble shooting. Though it was a simple fix that i should have figured out on my own, after a number of calls to other solar companies, Tim responded quickly and made the process much better and more affordable. I realize that solar companies are in the business of selling panels and batteries to make a greater income, so coming out for a minor fix is even more appreciated. That said, Magic Sun is now my forever "maintainer" and go to for solar or battery issues.

Everyone else wanted to do ground installation, insisting that was the only way. Some companies were unwilling to even come out and look, instead using google earth as their only means. Gregg did a great job of walking us through the process with the county for financing and explaining everything that would need to be done. His crew was awesome and they were able to replace both of our electrical panels as well as install all of the panels within a couple days. I wanted to go with someone local and I'm so glad I did! Everyone was great to deal with and he was able to offer us great quality panels for a reasonable price.

On top of that, they're just good down-to-earth people. We hired them last spring to re-roof our home, replace some rotted eaves and fascia and replace our old solar system (it was inefficient and malfunctioned quite a bit). We are very happy with what we got for the price we paid, it was a good value. It looks so much better than it did before and is consistently producing more energy. I feel like they helped us make the right decisions through the whole process, especially for system size to be able to keep our NEM1 status. The new roof looks great and works really well. I waited almost a year to write this review to make sure there wasn't any water intrusion during the winter storms - not a drop anywhere. They were in the mid-high range in pricing on the bids we got, but I'm happy we spent a little more went with them. Can a roof be sexy? Ours sure is. Their pricing was the best of the three contractors we considered, and they were also the only company willing to set up a non-export system so we could preserve our NEM 2.0 status and still get permission to operate from PG&E. That was a huge advantage for us, since other contractors were pushing us toward NEM 3.0. Their sales team was patient, helpful, and not pushy at all.
