Our relatively new AC went out during the heat wave and the company that installed it was non-responsive. They would not return my calls. Turns out the folks who installed our generator a year ago made a mistake and there was a melt down in the heat. We were stuck in blistering heat without AC for a couple of days when I remembered that Country Air services my business and does a good job. Called, and the receptionist had a guy come out the very next day. Sven diagnosed the issue and told me we needed an electrician to fix the problem in one of the three electrical boxes installed by the other company. We were suffering so he did some magic to get the AC working temporarily. We were so appreciative. He then provided me with extensive notes so the electrician would understand the issue. Country air has all my heating and air business going forward. These are great folks who really care about their customers and charge very reasonable rates for the work they do. We had an old HVAC unit that had seen its last good day so we called this place. Sven came out right away and gave us a quote for a new unit (we had already repaired it before, it was time for new). He got it on order and had the unit installed within a couple of days. This happened to be during one of the pge blackouts and Sven was super flexible. After calling a couple corporate air conditioning companies I got a hold of Country air, and I'm so happy I made the decision to use them. They removed my old unit and installed a brand-new heater and A/C unit in one day! And they built me a custom filter tray to accommodate my two intake registers. Also I seriously appreciate the fact that they didn't sell me extras that I didn't need, they're good honest hard working people. They even installed and programmed my nest thermostat and hooked it up to my Wi-Fi. No mess left behind, no trash or used components I couldn't even find a dirty fingerprint. Great job guys!!! They installed my air conditioning/heating system 6 years ago, which was not an easy job because it was a retrofit in an older house with no previous system. it involved lots of little details and they paid attention to every one. Not one problem with it until I went to turn it on this year at the beginning of the heat wave. I called on a Tuesday, they were out on Thursday. Everywhere else had a waiting time of at least a week. I was prepared for the worst/expensive news.They could have told me anything was wrong and I would have paid it! But it turned out to be minor and they charged me less than $200. 5 stars for integrity, honesty, and quick service! I used Country Air in Auburn to install a new heating and air system in a 20 year old house I moved into. I had several estimates including one by Costco. Dan from Country Air gave me a middle of the road estimate compared to the others. He didn't try to upsell me more than I needed even though I was pretty set on getting a better system. He could have made more money on the deal by doing so. His estimate included all costs to do the job right with no suprises. He also did not try to sell me on a maintenance plan even though I asked. The equipment brand they use is highly rated by Consumer Reports. They showed up on time, every time. The same person that came to give me an estimate was the same person doing the job. Unlike these bigger companies that send out a slick salesman. They wears nice clothes, have a slick sales pitch, sell you a bigger system, and a maintenance plan and then the crew shows up, late, lookin like they just got out of prison. I have had work done by some companies like that and regretted it. With Country Air you will get honest, hardworking people. They are reasonably priced and do what they say. Hot day so of course our air conditioning failed! We didn't know of anyone we could trust and we had such a horrible experience with Bell Air Conditioning years ago we were really worried about finding someone we could trust. We asked around and a friend mentioned Country Air and Dan Nelson. He called us back within a few hours of leaving a message and came out that afternoon to look over the system. Our air conditioner came on but the fan wasn't coming on so we thought the blower motor was going to need to be replaced $ $! Dan checked it out and found we only needed a capacitor, far cheaper! This company is amazing! I was going through a horrible experience with another AC company that I was forced to use due to a home warranty. I was over 2 weeks with no AC in 100+ degree days during a heat wave. I called Sven and explained my problem and he came out right away and fixed the problem immediately. He did in 24 hours what the other company could not do in 2 weeks (there was no resolution in sight with the other company... I'd still be waiting). He stepped into a giant mess with the other AC repair company and the home warranty company and still was willing to help me. I think most other companies would have said "heck no, I'm not getting into that" when I explained what was going on. He even volunteered to come on a day his business is not open since I had been without AC for so long and it was so hot. He was looking for a solution to a giant, messy problem. He was reasonably priced, fair, customer service oriented, on time and did great work. He is just an awesome person who cares about his customers.
