72 point safety inspection. Check this out. Bought a 2009 Passat for son about 7 months ago. Since then we have put about 5k on. I haven't put a review on until now because I was chaulking some issues up to just buying a used car. Well it's about to boil over. The owner is a "used car salesman" to the stereotypical T! When my wife saw the car online I went and had a quick look. We were in a bit of a hurry and negotiated $500 off or so for a cash price. I took it for a test drove and mentioned the dash kit up like a Christmas tree. (Warning lights) he said he'd bring it to the mechanic and run a scan. Just a heads up sometimes when they run a scan to get rid of the lights all they do is reset the computer, that's exactly what they did with this vehicle before I bought it. So I'm fairly excited to give my son his new car and head back to a place where we were going to store it until his birthday. It was about 12 miles away. When I got off the highway the car was losing power and started a meeting tons of white smoke out of the exhaust. I called him and let him know that we had a problem and he acted like he could not believe it. He then asked me to have my car towed back to his shop. I had to pay for the tow. Mind you I had an even on the car for 45 minutes. So as the story goes his mechanic had taken the heads off the car and cleaned all of the cylinders by walnut blasting them. P.S. the mechanic comes right out and tells you how Angelo buys cars that have warning lights lit and has him reset them then never wants to spend the money to have them fixed. I saw pictures of what I was led to believe what is my Volkswagen. All cleaned up and ready to go. Forgive me if I jump around but so many things happened I have a hard time keeping order. I also asked how new the tires were he said they were just put on and the brakes were in great shape almost new. So after it made it back to the mechanic he said he reset the computer again and thinks that something just got stuck in one of the injectors and was holding it open. I haven't seen the check engine light come on again. After I got the car home I had my brother-in-law look over at his certified mechanic and the brakes needed replaced immediately as well as three of the tires. This guy will blow smoke up your end and tell you how he never lets the car leave his lot unless it's in tiptop shape and makes fun of people all around him and offers you some cockamamie warrantee that he doesn't stick by. Read the reviews trust yourself this dude sells lemons. What sparked me to write this review is my son is only driven the car for very limited miles for about six or seven months and I took it in for an oil change there was no oil in the engine and it's leaking all down the back of the block. That being said I've already put $1600 into this car that he had a 72 that's right at 72 point inspection done on before I bought it. Apparently tires and brakes are not part of his inspection, no safety issue there right? Do yourselves a big big favor do not buy a car from this establishment. Now I know he's going to come on here and bash me and tell me that I was perfectly happy when I walked out and why would I do this to him blah blah blah. If you would like to instant message me I can show your receipt and pictures of everything I've spoken off I even have copies of all of his texts that speak about what we have posted above. read more
