After the work was completed they truck was still giving me issues the husband and wife( OWNERS) and hector ( mechanic) WORK DONE ON MY VEHICLE , assured me the truck would be fine. I noticed a noise when I would turn the truck off that sounded like the truck was still running or a fan was on. Later that night the truck was still making that noise .. Please stay far away from this company they charged me $60 for diagnostics told me to come the next day and they would take care of the problem the car stayed there a full day only to find out that they hadn't did anything to my car told me they were unable to get to it but to bring it back the very next day wasted money taking the Uber there brought it back the very next day only to find out that the problem isn't the O2 sensor but it's the main computer I don't know if I'm wrong maybe I am but it sounds like diagnostics correct but they charge me and hour worth of labor to diagnose the car a second time so I took the Uber there twice $31 each time + $258 for the work that wasn't even done and the guy tells me he's willing to give me $128 back$318 was spent nothing was done left with the same problem and you only want to give me $128 back beware shoppers read more

When I was originally looking for a repair shop, I went online to find one that had a good reputation. I was deceived by their phony online reviews, so I made an appointment and brought my car in to have it fixed. The original problem was a rattling noise under the engine. Each and every time they had to diagnose a problem, I had to pay a $60 fee. The check engine light came back on with every single thing they said they fixed. Also, each time, the rattling was still there. They said that the rattling had to do with the cooling system of the car. They charged me $900 to fix the problem, plus the check-out fee. I asked if they were sure that this would solve the problem. Helson assured me that it would. A few days later, the check engine light came on again. I brought the car back and they charged me another $60 fee to check out the car. The next time they told me the problem was an EGR valve. I believed them again and paid $375 installed for the problem to be fixed. He said the price would have been higher, but he was but he was giving me a break. Is that going to straighten out the problem with the rattling and check engine light? and he said, "yes". They knew from very beginning that I am a senior citizen and a disabled veteran. I asked him, "Did you road test the car?". He said that he did. I get into the car and a few days later the "check engine" light comes on again. I called him up and I was a little upset and I brought back the car and he said it could be the Manifold. I said it was already replaced. He took the car in and finally tells me it's the Catalytic Converters under the car, which is what I told him when I first came in. The car needed 2 Catalytic Converters and four oxygen sensors. He didn't tell me it needed four, only two. He said he was going to get me a price. He said that he could get a manufactured and it would cost you $700 price installed. Go ahead and do it. He called me back and said he couldn't get the parts and that I would have to buy new ones for $1800. I said if I go online and he followed me online and saw them for $320 plus I bought 2 oxygen sensors that he told me it needed. It needed 4, not 2. I bought 2 and he put 2 in and he was installing it and his mechanic messed up brand new parts and messed up the installation. Then he charged me more money and the mechanic had to take out the brand new parts and then put them back in. After they did the job, which was with my own parts, he gave me an outrageous bill of $1,03, when he originally told me the job was $700 with his parts. I asked him why so much, but he couldn't give me an answer. The bill included parts that were never even put into the car. At that point, I told him I would give him a check for $1,031 and he told me to make the check out to a different company. I got a little bit suspicious at that point. I gave him the money and asked him, "so I'm not going to get anymore check engine lights?" He told me he road tested the car for 20 minutes and there were no check-engine lights on. I got into the car, started it up went 10 feet out of his shop and the check-engine light went on again. I called him outside. He saw for himself, he lied to me, brought it to the mechanic, who also lied to me. His mechanic was able to shut the light off until I got home and then the light came back on again. I put a stop payment on the check, which I told him I did, then I contacted the Margate Police Department. I brought an office to the shop with m. The owner and his representative swore to the officer that they would fix the problem. Helsen said, in front of the officer, that he would come to my house personally and pick up the car. The officer said, make sure you write a statement before he picks up the car, which I did. then he picked up the car. The owner called me up after 3 hours and said that they cant' fix the car. I had to go there and pick up the car. They forced me to sign a release statement to be able to take the car. The company is a rip-off and they did more damage after they had the car then when I brought it in. The owner called me up again and was trying to put a good review over a bad review that I originally gave them. This company is a bunch of crooks and they lied right in front of the officer. R & Q Automotive needs to be thoroughly checked out by The Florida Department of Business Licensing, the Florida Sales Tax Division, Attorney General's Office and the Florida Department of the IRS because this is a fraudulent and deceptive operation and as a customer you would be better off bringing it to a dealership and charged less money for a proper repair. Beware whatever they fix, they break something else.This company is known for breaking additional items after the repair just to get you to pay the service charges. Please be forewarned...I wouldn't recommend this repair company to my worst enemy. read more

This repair shop is a hidden gem. They appear to me to have sophisticated software to report diagnostic issues to their customers. They take pictures of anything suspicious and show them to the customer. For these reasons I feel that they are trustworthy. Long story short my car was stuck in the on position and I couldn't get the key out. They managed to turn the car off and kept it till Monday. I had my car by Monday before 6. This is a family run business. The wife (Front desk associate) is very friendly and the lead mechanic, her husband, really took time with my car. After years of substandard automotive service, what a shock to find a family operated business that operates like RQ Automotive. They 'ACTUALLY' care about their customers. Our recent dilemma caused this company to loose money in order to keep us happy; their customer's happy. They did indeed loose money on their, 'price quote to us', actually also offering us a loaner car. Having our older Volvo serviced multiple times at RQ Automotive, I can assure all who read this, customer satisfaction is absolutely a priority. Our old girl, has never run better.
