I shouldn't even give 1 star. Paid $1000 for new compressor for A/C. it worked for 13 months. when I went back they told me I needed freon that it needs regular maintenance just like your oil changes. How stupid do they think we are! Never again! What a rip off! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

This place ripped me off. I asked how much was labor and he said 95 an hour they charge me 112 an hour. Plus they charge me that three times. Sure I can understand twice. Plus they need to specifically say what they are doing. Service to me was what I thought was change oil and filler. Nope not to this place they flushed my transmission not serviced it. Waste my money on BS. Not an up front place. My car is still not fixed after spending 800 bucks. Freaking makes me mad. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Not AN HONEST PLACE THAT IS WHY YOU CAN NOT TRUST ALL REVIEWS. Nice guy but sure did fool me . read more

consumers be aware this company is not listed with the better business bureau and should be checked for proper licensing by yelp. the owner, a ravi and ms reeba batra , called me and said she would refund my $68 ac diagnostic fee. that was 10 days ago. she lied? technical ac work is obviously beyond the capabilities of this shop and they (she) will not admit same. buyer beware!! read more

Great work done right and done fast. Service was great. They also have snap finance available to finance repairs repairs same as cash for 100 days. The location is tricky to find on GPS but you'll find them. They are at the end of the auto repair bays. read more

DONT!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I ENDED UP HAVING TO TAKE OUT ALMOST 20,000 dollars in snap loans to have my radiator and transmission fixed. After the work was completed they truck was still giving me issues the husband and wife( OWNERS) and hector ( mechanic) WORK DONE ON MY VEHICLE , assured me the truck would be fine. I noticed a noise when I would turn the truck off that sounded like the truck was still running or a fan was on. Later that night the truck was still making that noise .. I was shocked to find my truck on fire and when I informed RQ AUTOMOTIVE OF THIS THEY QUICKLY SAID THEYRE NOT RESPONSIBLE.. and when directed to stop charging me for this loan they denied me as well please stay far away from this company only looking to sale and lock you in they don't care about the consumer at all... read more

When I was originally looking for a repair shop, I went online to find one that had a good reputation. I was deceived by their phony online reviews, so I made an appointment and brought my car in to have it fixed. The original problem was a rattling noise under the engine. Each and every time they had to diagnose a problem, I had to pay a $60 fee. The check engine light came back on with every single thing they said they fixed. Also, each time, the rattling was still there. They said that the rattling had to do with the cooling system of the car. They charged me $900 to fix the problem, plus the check-out fee. I asked if they were sure that this would solve the problem. Helson assured me that it would. A few days later, the check engine light came on again. I brought the car back and they charged me another $60 fee to check out the car. The next time they told me the problem was an EGR valve. I believed them again and paid $375 installed for the problem to be fixed. He said the price would have been higher, but he was but he was giving me a break. Is that going to straighten out the problem with the rattling and check engine light? and he said, "yes". They knew from very beginning that I am a senior citizen and a disabled veteran. I asked him, "Did you road test the car?". He said that he did. I get into the car and a few days later the "check engine" light comes on again. I called him up and I was a little upset and I brought back the car and he said it could be the Manifold. I said it was already replaced. He took the car in and finally tells me it's the Catalytic Converters under the car, which is what I told him when I first came in. The car needed 2 Catalytic Converters and four oxygen sensors. He didn't tell me it needed four, only two. He said he was going to get me a price. He said that he could get a manufactured and it would cost you $700 price installed. Go ahead and do it. He called me back and said he couldn't get the parts and that I would have to buy new ones for $1800. I said if I go online and he followed me online and saw them for $320 plus I bought 2 oxygen sensors that he told me it needed. It needed 4, not 2. I bought 2 and he put 2 in and he was installing it and his mechanic messed up brand new parts and messed up the installation. Then he charged me more money and the mechanic had to take out the brand new parts and then put them back in. After they did the job, which was with my own parts, he gave me an outrageous bill of $1,03, when he originally told me the job was $700 with his parts. I asked him why so much, but he couldn't give me an answer. The bill included parts that were never even put into the car. At that point, I told him I would give him a check for $1,031 and he told me to make the check out to a different company. I got a little bit suspicious at that point. I gave him the money and asked him, "so I'm not going to get anymore check engine lights?" He told me he road tested the car for 20 minutes and there were no check-engine lights on. I got into the car, started it up went 10 feet out of his shop and the check-engine light went on again. I called him outside. He saw for himself, he lied to me, brought it to the mechanic, who also lied to me. His mechanic was able to shut the light off until I got home and then the light came back on again. I put a stop payment on the check, which I told him I did, then I contacted the Margate Police Department. I brought an office to the shop with m. The owner and his representative swore to the officer that they would fix the problem. Helsen said, in front of the officer, that he would come to my house personally and pick up the car. The officer said, make sure you write a statement before he picks up the car, which I did. then he picked up the car. The owner called me up after 3 hours and said that they cant' fix the car. I had to go there and pick up the car. They forced me to sign a release statement to be able to take the car. The company is a rip-off and they did more damage after they had the car then when I brought it in. The owner called me up again and was trying to put a good review over a bad review that I originally gave them. This company is a bunch of crooks and they lied right in front of the officer. R & Q Automotive needs to be thoroughly checked out by The Florida Department of Business Licensing, the Florida Sales Tax Division, Attorney General's Office and the Florida Department of the IRS because this is a fraudulent and deceptive operation and as a customer you would be better off bringing it to a dealership and charged less money for a proper repair. Beware whatever they fix, they break something else. This company is known for breaking additional items after the repair just to get you to pay the service charges. Please be forewarned...I wouldn't recommend this repair company to my worst enemy. read more

This repair shop is a hidden gem. They appear to me to have sophisticated software to report diagnostic issues to their customers. They take pictures of anything suspicious and show them to the customer. For these reasons I feel that they are trustworthy. At first I thought them to be a bit pricey, but after seeing their thoroughness, I feel confident that it's money well spent since it's a solid investment in your major asset, your car. read more

GREAT PEOPLE AND GREAT SERVICE!! Most mechanic shops tend to rip you off and try to overcharge. They were very compassionate and helpful with getting me what I needed in order to fix the damages on my car....I also happen to be out of state so the service and time dedicated towards me and my car overall was excellent. So happy I chose this place! read more

Professional. Fast. Complimentary. Fair price. Bilingual ( English/Spanish) So I took my car in on a Saturday at close to 3 with a problem that was super difficult. Long story short my car was stuck in the on position and I couldn't get the key out. They managed to turn the car off and kept it till Monday. I had my car by Monday before 6. This is a family run business. The wife (Front desk associate) is very friendly and the lead mechanic, her husband, really took time with my car. I appreciate them so much for being open on a Saturday and taking my car! I have never used their services so thank you so much! I will refer business and would use them in the future! read more

What a buried treasure. My grandfather told me as a teenager back in the 1970s ..."The day you buy a car, is the day you have problems." Indeed, my 'Grampa' was right. After years of substandard automotive service, what a shock to find a family operated business that operates like RQ Automotive. They 'ACTUALLY' care about their customers. Our recent dilemma caused this company to loose money in order to keep us happy; their customer's happy. They did indeed loose money on their, 'price quote to us', actually also offering us a loaner car. Having our older Volvo serviced multiple times at RQ Automotive, I can assure all who read this, customer satisfaction is absolutely a priority. Our old girl, has never run better. The terms, 'rip off' or 'overcharged', will never be heard from any customer at this location. Our only regrets to the folks at RQ Automotive, is that the 5 stars only go to 5 stars. Our second regret is that when never learned of RQ Automotive sooner. KMAM Cabral KMCCARON BOTH PROUD SENIORS CITZENS! read more

First let me say I teach customer service for a living, also, I owned my own small taxi company outside of Atlanta Ga. for 16 yrs and used to do my own mechanic work. These are great people, Rosalina is sympathetic, knowledgeable and accommodating, Virgilio is a very nice person and an expert at what he does,I was quoted 300.00 for the part I needed at the KIA dealership, Virgilio was able to find what I needed and install it for less than 100.00, the first part we got was defective and Virgilio had another there by the next day and when i showed up, took less than 30 min to get me out the door ( I just showed up didn't make an appointment ), quite a bit different than the other places I have been to that don't really make an effort unless you spend hundreds or thousands of dollars I would NOT hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing honest, caring professional service on their car.....sincerely, James T Bruno Sr. read more

I had used a groupon for an oil change. The location is tucked in the back of warehouses, but I am so glad I found a reliable auto care location. Service with a smile! Two lovely people, Virgilio & Rosalina Peralta, run a top notch family business at RQ Automotive along with the help of their oldest son and close family friends. The office is clean and professional without being pretentious. My husband and I have been clients for more than 10 years. Even before Virgilio bought the business he treated it like his own. I was so proud when he finally purchased it. I have given countless recommendations to anyone who needs a mechanic that won't "rip you off". The prices are fair and the service is phenomenal. If Virgilio can't fix it then it probably cannot be fixed!!! I will never use anyone else when I can feel confident taking my vehicles to Virgilio. I also feel good in that I support a local "family owned & operated" business instead of some automotive chain store because they treat you like family. Deb & Luis "The Riveras" read more
