Okay, so I NEVER go to the salon to get my nails done simply because I hate sitting still lol and I usually save money to do my own nails at home. But my niece was getting ready for prom and I took her here to get her nails done. I looked up many nail salons in the area and went to RP based on the good reviews. Rather than just sitting there and waiting for her to be done, I reluctantly decided to get my nails done too. Cindy did my set which I requested for a French manicure ombre set. I showed her pictures of what I had in mind and she was able to do exactly what I wanted. I wish I took a picture of the finished product but trust me when I say it ended up beautiful - and long lasting too! read more

I called for appointment got there and Ifor a cut down and fill. The tech wasn't very good, I had to point out that the acrylic overlay was lifting from my nail. I t literally came off when she took her nail under it. Fast forward get home and notice the fill is lifting now. Waste of money, Tip and Time! Had to go and get redone elsewhere. Horrible! read more

They didn't even allow me to come in to wait and told me that they didn't think they could get me in. Apparently they have had some people run out on their services as told from their IG account. But I think that they're be racist and prejudice of a whole race of people because of the bad judgement of a few bad apples. They could request deposits in advance or get payment before the service is completed instead of refusing to provide services. I was referred by a person (white) who I complimented on her nails and she told me where and who to get service from. But if this is how they treat people I will gladly let everyone I know not to bother doing any business with them and this is exactly why they're getting this rating. Actually I wish I could give them "No Stars". read more

I hate that I'm saying this but today was my last day going to RP Nails I been going to them for 4 years and over the years I realized they treat black people different than other race It's been a couple of time I brought to their attention how I didn't like how my feet came out and nails I messaged Tom about my feet how when I got acrylic and the lady who did my feet had my big toe crooked He told me to come back so they can fixed he had the same lady on my foot and they said it was my toe I went somewhere else and they fixed smh This time I show Queen a video it wasn't even a week and they looked like it I needed a fill She laughed in my face and didn't take me seriously I know if it was another race she would have That same day I asked the girl who did do my nails could Tom do my nails because she asked me did I prefer someone before saying I would just take her I think her name is Daisy but they always change their name so I don't even know if that's her real name Tom could have done my nail he just didn't want to It's been time I came in and said hello and no one spoke back just asked how can they help me But when their white clients come in the all smiles and asking them how they doing It's been times they gave just white people coupons to used for their next appointment I have spend so much money at RP nails, tip well and referred clients to them Today just really did it to me I even told them it was my birthday no one said happy birthday to me expect the girl who did my nails Queen laughed when I told her I don't know if she thought I wanted a discount or what But to laugh at me when I'm showing you a video of how dissatisfied I am with my nails from the last time I got them done really did it I feel like they was laughing and talking about me read more

Yesterday as i was getting my nails done by a guy sitting next to tom, nearly an hour and half into my appointment tom looks at me and smirk then looks down...looks up again and asked me if i was going to see the new monkeys at the zoo. I was stunned and said excuse me? And he responded "the new monkeys at the Norfolk zoo" tom and the guy doing my nails both looked at one another and laughed. I asked what was funny and looked down at toms wife and she shook her head i was in disbelief, shocked and hurt. I then texted my husband and he came in asking tom to repeat the joke because he wanted to laugh too. I been going here off and on for 5 years and though tom is never pleasant i continued to go. I will never spend my money here ever again! How many times can we be told to our face how much they hate us yet continue to support their families?! Please be aware of the racism that continues to exist in this world, im still absolutely disturbed and wont stop until everyone knows what they said to me and then laughed right in my face. $90 for FILL and Chrome French : Reasoning is because he had to do it again for messing up the color and I had to pay for his time. Read the reviews it's in plain sight. I've been going to ERIC since I moved here in a Feb2022. It's sad to write this review but definitely needed ! I showed Eric a gold chrome picture listed below. Eric decided to do the base of the chrome black. As soon as he took out the black gel to do the base, I immediately said " black for the bottom isn't that going to look dark ? Shouldn't we do white underneath ?" He proceed to tell me he knows what he is doing and to let him do his job. His attitude as describe is very dry, sarcasm, rude. I don't mind because I definitely can dish it out too. Well gold chrome went over the black and it looked like a dark gold instead of just a true gold. He proceed with it saying it just needs a second layer. Did a second layer, Mind you I could still see the black through making it dingy looking. I told him to do one white so he could see the results. He did it the girl to my left and right both agree the significance. At the end he had to do the white. Because it was closer to the true gold with the picture I showed him. Before he did the white I ask him to remove all the black under my nails and he said don't worry it will be shaped off. Well picture below the black is STILL THERE. He requires a picture at booking and still doesn't use it for reference. I was tired of it as these nails are NOT under $100 with tip. Needless to say he told me at the end of the appointment to find a new nail tech because he doesn't have time for this. And that he doesn't do cuticle cut because it extra, I have always gotten my cuticles cut. Since I've been with him. Was definitely bound to happen, NEVER answer his DM for appointments and that is the only way you can book. He claims he has too many messages because he has 37k followers. If you are tooo busy to book appointments, then setup and online booking app like every other technician, with set rules to book an appointment. His argument for having to do the gold over is that I don't ever know what I want. Lol I showed you a picture and you still manage to do what YOU WANT. when I pay for the service I choose. Not you. My Halloween nails the same thing, I showed him a design he started through out the whole appointment I was telling him they are tooo long. Don't worry I still have to shape them ! Continue and they were way longer then the picture. Everyone agreed. After my Halloween set instead of using the same pink Acrylic he decide to pink and acrylic color that isn't the same because he can't remember the acrylic color. He response is your suppose to take a picture of it. Like what ? I've never been told to take a picture of my acrylic power. So every time he does a fill he has to fill the whole nail because he can't match the acrylic powder. I've given them two stars because the girl that runs the RP NAIL page is amazing and she flat out tells you yes or no. read more

The customer service here is well below expectations. Every single time I've made an appointment, I'm waiting an additional 45 minutes or longer until I'm serviced. What makes it worse is they never apologize for delays or even acknowledge that they've had you waiting. I've been going here for over a year out of convenience and after today, I will not be returning. They usually do a decent job (not amazing but not horrible) but the prices aren't consistent and they're not the friendliest. Almost as if they're doing me a favor by doing my nails. Several times my nails lifted after just a week. Definitely won't be returning. read more

I am from California, and I have YET to find an artist that does my nails the way I'd like....UNTIL NOW. She was so effortlessly good, and was so easy to work with, even while I spent too much time picking my colors. I worked with Tracy. You can find her on Instagram as well as the entire shop! She did have me pay a $20 deposit that went towards my nails, when I contacted her on Instagram. But she was able to get me in the next day!! The young owners are the best when it comes to nails and then the other young female employee is great as well. They take their time. I scheduled my past 3-4 appointments with Tom, just to confirm if I wanted him to be my permanent nail tech. Granted his work is great but he seems like he really doesn't want to do your nails tbh. Super uninterested. When asked what style or design I wanted, He almost immediately started saying what he couldn't do on my nails. Every time felt uncomfortable. His other nail tech that sits next to him is phenomenal but I would never go back to Him. I don't mind spending the money for design or skill but his vibe is off. Been going here for a while & always got amazing service until recently. I booked with Eric whom I always book with and this time I wanted something cute but simple. I decided to go short because I was in the process of moving ... I got a yellow set and wanted this design on my ring fingers as I showed him in the picture. Upon seeing the yellow on my nails I changed my mind and told him I just wanted all yellow instead of the diamonds on top. He got mad at me and was loud which made me feel very uncomfortable and said so you don't want this design I said no he said but you said you want it .. ( before that happened I asked if I can see a little bit of the diamonds on my hand so I can see if I liked it he told me I could but they'll still charge me even if I didn't ) which is why I told him it was okay and to just do all yellow. He got mad at me and made me feel very uncomfortable... he usually gives me cuticle oil after being done a set didn't even do that no lotion or nothing. Every time I go to him I ALWAYS tip good because I value his time and work this time I DIDNT TIP AT ALL. I was very upset with my visit but came to my senses that I might've been overthinking it all until I talked to my mom about it. As professionals it's always your job to make sure a customer comes back & if I come back I will no longer go to him. If a person doesn't want something ON THEIR NAILS it shouldn't be a big problem. I dm him on ig recently asking for a fill in and he told me he is booked which was completely shade & I've also noticed he unfollowed me lol. It's no hard feelings with me though I wish him the best read more
