He said he was going to come Monday 09/23. He got the work done, and I tipped him roughly 13% on top of the estimate he game me. Two days later the one corner brick he replaced was good, but 3 nearby bricks cracked in half. That one stretch of grouting I wanted touched up was fixed, but new cracks formed as a result of the work completed. I messaged him 09/25 saying roughly more damage has been done than his work was supposed to fix. He asked if he could come Saturday 09/28. I said sure. It was beautiful day I would have preferred to goto the beach or something. I waited all day and afternoon and sent him messages. I didn't get a message until that evening that he wasn't going to come. Maybe he went to the beach for me! He asked if he could come Monday 09/30. I said sure, just park and do what you need. He never came just asked me what the weather was. So I took a screenshot of the weather for the next 10 days and sent to him 09/30 in the evening, then asked him on 10/03 when he would like to come. Today is 10/05 and I haven't received a message. Today is also a beautiful day, maybe he went to the beach for me!

Then we ran into a small issue where I felt some work was improperly completed and wanted to work through it and that's where it all fell apart. The receptionist was extremely accusatory at first but did eventually call to apologize and I hoped things would be better. Once I talked to the owner he seemed really understanding and accommodating and even sent me a really thoughtful response as they were working though the issues with me so I had high hopes that we would fix the issue and continue on with the work, only they just stopped communicating with me completely. I would have fully understood if they came to a conclusion and explained to me why but they chose to do nothing and that was really disappointing. Now I have a half finished bathroom and construction debris that they left behind that I'm having to pay a new person to finish the work and clean up behind them. The worst part is I had already referred them to a friend of mine who needed some work done and had to go back and tell her, never mind because if you can't trust them with a minor inconvenience how can you trust them with a major job?! Ben, was super fast in sending me a quote just from a pic I had sent of my damaged ceiling and his pricing was around the same price as I had received from other companies/handymen for the same job. Although I caught him at a busy time and had to reschedule, he was able to come back a couple days later and complete the work.
