Carpet Palace is awesome! They did carpet in our four bedrooms and laminate in the laundry room and basement. When there was a manufacturer issue with the laminate, they replaced it for free. First I dont live in California , I am In Severna park . I just had Joe come in and add oak hardwood to my dining room and kitchen . We knocked out some walls and needed the hardwood matched to what was there . They did a beautiful job both in the installation And the finishing . I can be a picky SOB and I couldnt find anything to complain about . His guys were great , cleaned up and were very respectful . His pricing was more than fair , he wasnt the cheapest and he wasnt the most expensive by far . Most of all my wife loves it . I would have him work for me again anytime . read more

We selected Carpet Palace after a recommendation from a neighbor and had carpet installed in 3 rooms. The experience from start to finish was terrific! Joe came to us with samples and talked through options, listening to what we were looking for and price point. He provided recommendations and answered all of our questions. We just got our carpet yesterday and pardon the pun, but I am FLOORED! Earlier this week, my son had the same company install carpet at our other home, which we are also very happy with. Let me say I find so many times that people will leave the bad reviews, but never the good. I just want to say that it was ALL good in our case! We walked in thinking we were going to buy veneer, but the price wasn't recoverable with our possible time frame of moving out of the state in the next few years. I appreciated the honesty of that. Having said that, we bought the best we felt we could afford for our condo unit. Amazingly, it was only a 2 week wait for our carpet to come in. Yesterday was installation day and we had the carpet as well as a foyer installed. Impressed with everything, from start to finish. Installers arrived and did and amazing job! They rolled up the old stuff to take away in their truck. This was important as our condo rules state that these cannot be thrown in our dumpster. The floor is absolutely fantastic in feel! What a change from the old carpet we had down. They recommended wonderful pad that impressed my husband. We have a heat pump and he feels this will do a better job with heat retention. There's definitely a difference just running the A/C. We never gave this place any thought for some reason when we have bought carpet in the past, but I am sure glad we took a chance on it this time. I have had a extremely bad experience here, one of the worst. I should of know better when I walked into carpet palace and customer service was unimpressive. What a shock when I had an issue with the actual carpet and they made every excuse to why is wasn't the carpet. Even if it wasn't the carpet, the owner called me and out of the gate started jumping on me. I'm a 47 yo adult, why are you yelling at me on the phone. All I did was report a problem with the carpet. Anyway, they were extremely unprofessional and would t recommend this place to anyone. Update: To the comment left below by a Carpet Palace employee, the owner never discussed price, repair or even had someone come out to look at the carpet. Other than the pics that I showed the sales associates in the store and later emailed, Carpet Palace (the owner) never saw the carpet. I have no animals and it was relayed to the owner. The way he handled the situation was totally uncalled for and very unprofessional. If he would like to improve his rating from a one star, I suggest that the owner take a less aggressive stance with his customers when an incorrect installation or product failure takes place. I never blamed any one, I was just relaying an issue I had and was looking for a resolution. read more

Don't do business with them. I was ready to buy carpet within the hour of walking in there. I told Brian I was going to a couple of other places for good measure but that I was 99% sure I'd be calling with a credit card this hour. I called him to ask for measurements he wrote down in front of me at the store because I forgot to take them with me and he lied and pretended he didn't have them and refused to give them to me. He was scared to be competed against which is silly. His quote was so good he had nothing to be afraid of but because he was so rude and condescending I'm across the street giving less than $100 more at Next Day Flooring with a really nice decent and helpful businessman. read more

install was not an issue, customer service is terrible, tech came out to give us a quote, told us the amount it would be ( word of mouth) (not in writing) but the amount he said we agreed on because we weren't going any higher. they write out the contract and charge us 1k more! we never agreed to the price and we will be filing a dispute! ridiculous read more

Sales manager very narcasistic rude, took almost month to get job finished after issues were corrected, Although Owner tried to lighten loadcnever once offered to mske things right with a discount endded up paying more for laminate after the sales manager could not get in what we originally wanted. just messed up from the start. Will never use them again, there are other places in the area. read more

The guys are Carpet Palace are great. Gary was more than accommodating for me. He had the carpet I wanted in stock (and he knew what carpet I'd want even before I did!) and gave us a great price for carpeting the entire upstairs. The installers are kind and courteous as well. Andy and his team did a great job installing the carpet without issue. I had some (dog-caused) issues soon after installation. I talked to Gary and he put me in touch with Gene, who was able to come out and fix what my dog messed up with remnants I had. Everyone I dealt with at the Carpet Palace was great and I'd highly recommend them to my friends! read more

This place is fantastic. My wife and I have been looking for an area rug and matching hallway runner for months now. We have looked at the big box stores, and a few other small businesses in the area. On a whim, we decided to stop in to Carpet Palace. We went in and really didn't think that we were going to have any more luck here than we did at the other dozen places we went to. We could not have been more wrong. Bobby and Big Joe were there and were beyond helpful. Their selection of floor coverings is miles better than anyone in the area. The level of service was beyond compare. After months of searching, we found exactly what we were looking for. They do custom sizes and their own binding for those customer sizes. They bent over backwards to help us out. We got exactly what we were looking for and bought the same day. These guys and this place are outstanding. Do not make the mistake that I have made for the past few years and judge this place by how it looks on the outside. This is the place that you want to purchase your floor coverings. Give them a chance. They will make you a believer. read more

"This place honestly doesn't even deserve a star. If I had known my hard earned money would virtually be flushed down the toilet, I would have taken my business elsewhere.. They do not know what they are doing. We learned the hard way that we had hardwood underneath our laminate floors. For those who don't know, there are specific ways you have to install hardwood on top of other wood, it most certainly should NOT be installed parallel with each other without at least something separating them. That is essentially because when the floor underneath contracts & breathes, the floor on top is forced to move with it, causing cracks and damage. The installers did not inform us ONCE that we had hardwood underneath the old floor, nor did they warn us about the potential consequences of installing them this way! Not even 3 months in, our floors began cracking and lifting in corners. It took us renovating our kitchen to see that we hardwood floors underneath our new floors. It took a freaking Google search to know that this was a bad thing, so tell me why the professionals didn't know this?? We even had a rep from the floor manufacturer inspect the floors, and they chalked it up to the installation as well. I'm only on here because after an entire month of trying to work with store owner "Big Joe", and simply get the work we PAID FOR redone - he refuses to "eat" the whole job. He refuses to reimburse us for the labor.. The labor that caused this whole thing! That is nearly 2000$ down the drain because the "proudly customer service oriented" (his words) store owner refuses to pay for HIS mistakes! Purchase from this store at your own risk." This was written & posted yesterday. "Big Joe" called us briefly after we filed a complaint with the better business bureau, giving us a full refund. He also complained that my review was "mean". I simply stated facts.. So the takeaway here is, he only refunded us because we wouldn't go down without a fight. I must reiterate this; purchase from this store at your own risk. read more
