We walked the property and I could quickly tell that he had a good eye and understood what I wanted to accomplish. no show 2x. said he ran late on saturday 10/2 but promised he would be able to come out first thing sun 10/3 with an eta of 12pm again a no show. his excuse "his grandfather had been in the hospital for a couple of days and that's all he has been able to concentrate on anything else" a couple of days if my math is correct would mean he had been dealing with family issue since friday at least. normally i would be sympathetic to his situation but i call bullshit so this company is liars they are very unproffesional, unreliable, and inconsiderate of my time i would stay away from this company no matter how good the quote a company like this will more than likley requote a higher bid once out to the job. these guys are untrustworthy read more

We need our 5 large trees trimmed and called Roy's. They scheduled to come and do an estimate but never showed up, never called and did not even return our calls. I took time off of work to meet them. If you're going to set an appointment with a potential client, you should show up. If you can't show up as scheduled, you should contact the client and let them know. If you get a call from a client asking for a return call, you should return our call. I telephoned Roy's Trees to request trimming of several of my trees, and Roy answered immediately. He came over to view the job 90 minutes later. He listened to my requirements, which included un-obstructing a neighbor's view of the East Valley. Roy gave me a very reasonable price quote and scheduled a date. (Usually when I call a tree trimmer, he never answers me or shows up at all!) Roy appeared at my house with an assistant exactly when he said he would. The person who left a bad review seems annoying. These guys were awesome. Quickly received a very competitive price and did a great job. The tree I had removed took them close to 10 hours the first day and they came back a second day to finish up and clean. We had received one ridiculous quote nursery in our area to remove a large mesquite tree in our backyard that was causing some mild damage to our block wall. Enter Roy's Tree Service. Wasn't pleased with the service we received. To begin, I am not a complainer and I am fair in my reviews of good and bad. We hired this company to cut back and thin out 4 of our trees. We were quoted $600. We have had this job done multiple times as we have lived in our home for close to 7 yrs. When the job was "complete" I went outside and was shocked at the little change made to our trees. They simply cut out branches to bring the tree in, but did not thin the tree out - at all. I was told he does not thin out trees and if I wanted him to, he would charge more. We went back and forth until he decided he would come back and fix the Trees. When I arrived home, he had thinned one tree, but failed to do the other. He was not thorough in his work, at all. In addition, one of his men left our pool gate hitched open with a rock which was seen on camera and left open and they left my property that way. As a parent of small children, I can not begin to express my outrage. All in all, they did a half hearted job and I would NOT recommend them. read more
