I needed 3 fancy dresses with chiffon overlays pressed on the weekend before an overseas trip. The first highly recommended cleaner laughed in my face, but Royalty Cleaners were kind, pleasant and professional. They got the job done, and I will never forget how they helped me. Needless to say, I will be back!!! One word of caution: my job was higher priced than I expected, so make sure that you clarify prices carefully. I was quoted the correct price, but I thought it was for all three dresses not the price for each. read more

Searched for years for a quality cleaners. Found them maybe 20 yrs ago and never left.

This is the greatest dry cleaner in the whole world. Not only do they do a good job but they are fantastically friendly. I have a problem getting my hundred white shirts laundered and folded with buttons replaced when needed. After trying every other cleaner in the area I was about to give up. One of them couldn't fold the shirts. The other one returned the shirt to me smelling like other people cigarette smoke. I had almost decided to not wear shirts at all when I tried royalty. They are the best! Seriously! And you get a free bottle of water in the lobby! What could be better? I guess if they serve food that would be better but other than that they're perfect. read more

Amazing!! I had the best service at Royalty cleaners! I had some very important white shirts that developed a weird black residue on them. This could've meant a huge loss financially in damaged inventory for me. John and his staff had me bring them right in, got immediately to work on solving the issue, and fixed the shirts to perfection! They looked beautiful with no trace of the issue within 5 minutes. I'll be headed back with the rest. :) The courteous, friendly staff, and the level of professionalism and expertise is second to none! In my book, that's value! I highly recommend this dry cleaners. It's clear they make customer service their number one priority!! I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Thank you Royalty Cleaners!! read more

Love John and Royalty Cleaners ! My clothes always look perfect! Highly recommend this dry cleaner!

The greatest there is, nothing short of it. I wanted to have a stain in a very special pair of pants taken care of, and after being turned away by a handful of other cleaners and not taken seriously, the team at Royalty Cleaners said they would give it a try. They were very kind even though I was calling them basically twice a day out of fear for the worst, and ultimately they ended up working the miracle. Cannot recommend more, a team of great individuals who are sympathetic, talented, and above all else, who care. read more

The people here are really, really nice. They always give you a big smile and fast service. And My clothes always look perfect. I was chatting with the owner one day and he noticed a button coming lose on a shirt. He said "We will get that fixed for you and have it ready with your other laundry, no charge." They are the best cleaners Ive ever used and I've tried many. A++ read more

Awesome, the owner was real nice. Tide dry cleaning in Birmingham off Woodward and ruined my Versace suit. Totally pressed it wrong and made it look like a cheap flimsy suit from Macy's or something. Looked on yelp and saw how someone advised going here and I'm glad I did. Royalty totally fixed up something I thought I had to trash or donate after wearing twice in my life. I explained to the owner what happened and he told me to drop it off and would check it out. He ended up making it look close to new. He didn't even charge me to fix it up which was extremely nice and unexpected. Great business move that totally won me over. Highly recommend and will always come here for things I truly care about!! The people there were also really nice and give my kid a cheesecake KitKat bar when I went to drop it off. Their service and employees are really nice, another plus and win for this nice local establishment! read more

Had a 1 black golf polo and 1 black dress pants that were not dirty just needed to be pressed. She told me to come back in a couple hours and didn't tell me a price. When I came back she charged me almost $21 for 1 black golf polo and 1 black dress pants no stains. There are no prices visible in the store and even the other employees could tell that was a ridiculous price for 2 pressed garments. There are certain places that are higher than most but that's just a hustle and they will never see my buisness again nor receive a positive response. I don't write reviews only if I fell hustled in which I certainly did. read more

I dropped my 2 pc suit here based on their reviews on yelp, and they are not too far away from me. I did not ask how much when I dropped it off, thinking how expensive could it be? When I picked it up and they told me it was $25, I was surprised. Seems very pricey to me but I haven't had a suit cleaned in a long time. I will not likely be going back here. They do offer free apples and coolkies at their counter. I just called Sylvia's in Royal Oak, they charge $11.98, and they get just as good reviews. read more

I have been shopping around for a new dry cleaners for the last year and a half that is close to home, and no one has impressed me--except for Royalty Cleaners. The staff are incredibly friendly and personable, and they truly take the best care of your garments. The price is a little higher than others that are nearby, but it's definitely worth it. That's why we take clothes in to a cleaners, after all--to be handled properly! I learned that the hard way after going to a cleaners on Woodward only to have my shirts returned with unknown stains on them (and subsequently had to throw them in donation pile). Quality and customer service are key at Royalty! read more

Quick review - I'll add more later. On my first visit, I was introduced by name to everyone there that day. Lovely people. The owner/manager is very personable and has a great sense of humor. A winter coat I brought there came back looking better than when I bought it - I was stunned! I had no idea sad and limp sweaters could be resurrected like Royalty does. And I noticed that every customer is treated like good friends. I like that. Ciao, amici e alla prossima! read more

We had excellent service here. We were in town for a wedding and needed a dress shirt pressed. We called all over and no one could get it done before Monday and they pressed the shirt while we waited. It cost less then $5 and they were very friendly and understanding of the rush. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

Royalty Cleaners - Front desk - Laundry Services Near Me - Royal Oak, Michigan

Can't praise this place enough. I've been going every so often for about three years now, and I'm always greeted with friendly service. The staff always goes out of their way to chat and, fortunately for people like me who don't plan ahead enough, they can always turn around dry cleaning in just a few days' time. read more

Not your typical dry cleaners! They are life savers! I have a Burberry trench that had red dye transfer all over it. I thought for sure the coat was permanently ruined. When I picked up my coat it was like brand new again! They are miracle workers. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, too! I'll be going back for all my dry cleaning needs. read more

A shirt laundry in Royal Oak that I had gone to for more than 30 years recently closed for good. After reading some yelp reviews on Royalty Cleaners, I decided to give them a try. Last week, I dropped off two dress shirts there with instructions that they be cleaned and pressed with no starch and hung on hangers. When I picked them up this week, they were done exactly as I had asked. Each shirt had a permanent tag at the bottom with my name, a description of the shirt, and the instructions I left when I dropped them off. Very nice job! PS: On rare occasions, the previous shirt laundry broke some buttons on my shirts. When I picked up my shirts from Royalty, the buttons were the first thing I looked at. All were intact! read more

This is the best dry cleaner there is. If you value your clothes you should take them here. I have never had an issue with a single garment. The cost is higher than what you're probably paying where you go now, but if you keep taking your clothes somewhere else you'll end up paying the price in the long run. read more

I am new to the area and needed to find a new job. I was anxious to get my job hunt started but all of my suits were extremely wrinkled from the move. With only one review I was a bit skeptical but gave them a try. They did a awesome job with both my suits and my wife's. They even called me to let me know that my wife jacket required some mending before they could clean it. Even with the extra inconvenience they had everything ready the next day as promised. I have been getting my suits dry cleaned weekly for years here in Michigan and in Nevada and California and their attention to detail is the best I have experienced. They have earned two loyal customers. read more

Royal Cleaners do the most fabulous job; they clean every single item by hand and they even fixed some small sewing issues with no fee or question (they fixed some of my seams). I have been getting my silk clothes dry-cleaned for years and Royalty Cleaners have done the best job of all the places I have ever tried. The clothes really do come back to you better than new. They know all their customers by name, are open long hours, provide exceptional service and if you are lucky, you might get a piece (or more) of Swiss chocolate :). Highly recommended. read more

This place is fantastic. I dropped off a few sweaters, one being a long vintage sweater - my absolute favorite. They mended a small hole in it and spent days de-pilling it. It looked brand new. All of my sweaters came back to me looking beautiful. Great customer service and a great dry cleaners. read more

I miss these guys! ... this was the best place I every had my stuff done at!!! They can do anything and your clothes look like they are new and you just bought them ... even if you didn't. Check out the way the do those shirts...Amazing!!! read more

Best customer service! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. They are always friendly, fast, and honest! I took a dress in to be cleaned with my other weekly drop off, and they told me that it wasn't necessary and I could clean it in my washer and save money. The friendly young ladies always remember our account. We don't use the delivery service but they do offer it! read more

I live super close to this place, so it seemed convenient, especially given the positive reviews. I don't use dry cleaning service much, so I can't compare this to much, but I was pleased. They warned me that they're more expensive, but they did give me a discount because it was my first time and I live close. All of their work is done by hand, and they'll work to make all your clothes beautiful like the day you bought them. They de-pilled a sweater that I had already brushed and thought was unfixable. It turned out that I just needed professional help. I have a few more items, including a wool winter coat, that I'll be taking to them. read more

The little things are what makes this the place to bring your clothes. I've been a customer since we moved to Clawson in 2012. Everyone who works here is especially friendly and personable. They pay a lot of compliments, which seemed weird at first but now I'm hooked on the pick-me-ups when I'm making a pick-up. I like that they give out free collar points whenever I need them. When I need a rush job, they get it done on time every time. Also charming: The store looks exactly as it did when it opened in the 1960s. Not shabby and tired, but in a time machine to my youth kind of look and feel. It's fun to do business here. read more

I needed to get my trench coat cleaned, and received a recommendation to Royalty. While I'm about a 30-45 minute drive from Royal Oak, it is worth it. The staff was very friendly and thorough, and when I picked up my coat it was like brand new - the finish of the exterior of the coat was pristine, and all of the outside buttons had been adjusted so they weren't loose from wear. I definitely will be back again for my coat, suits, and anything else that needs dry cleaning. Also my coat was ready ahead of the ticket day, and when I called to confirm they even brought it up front since they knew I was coming from across town. Great service! read more

Dropped off my wedding dress and veil to be cleaned here based off of reading all of the good reviews for wedding dresses on Yelp. They asked if I wanted it preserved and boxed and I said no, just the cleaning. I was given a ticket and told it would be ready in two weeks. I came two weeks later they told me it was no where near being done and to come back in a month. A month goes by and I return. This time to find out they have misplaced my dress! They could not find it at their store so they assured me it must be with the preserving/boxing company they ship out to. I told them I had not asked for boxing so it shouldn't be there, they said they just sent all of the dresses they had there without looking. I made them call the boxing company while I stood there because I wanted confirmation my dress was there and they told them that they didn't have it in their system but they had a backlog of dresses waiting to be put in their system. He hung up and assured me it must be there. Never apologizing I might add. I left stressed thinking my dress was lost. I came back two weeks later and they said it was confirmed it was at the boxing place, but not done. I came back two weeks later, still not done - though they never gave me timing. I finally called last week and they said it was done and ready for pickup - 3 months later. I told them when I picked it up how unhappy I was with my experience and that I wouldn't pay for the preserving/boxing because I hadn't asked for it. They did take off $130 (originally $275 and I ended up paying $145). I just felt like it was a total cluster and totally unorganized. My wedding dress is very sentimental to me and I wouldn't have taken it there if I knew the mess it would've ended up being. I would take yours to be cleaned/boxed elsewhere. read more

For the past 8 years, John Harris has provided me the absolute best customer service of any vendor I have ever used for anything. I couldn't possibly recommend this place any higher. I've used them several times for bedsheets, sweaters, suits, and dresses. They are friendly, and helpful and though they sometimes take longer than I expected, I never on my part asked for an actual deadline, so I can't say its their fault they took longer than what they casually mentioned as a pick up date. They've also helped carry heavy items to my car for me as well. All in all, I plan to keep returning and ofcourse will add to this review on their timeliness once I require an actual specific deadline on an order. I highly recommend Royalty Cleaners. read more

How do I begin to tell you how awful this cleaners is! I had a sports Max designer white skirt and they will not give it back to me because there was a black tag in the wash so they ruined my Max mara skirt! I forgave them thinking lighting could not strike twice as two weeks later my white Micheal Kors designer Dress from the collection for 1900 $ was Not returned with the shirts so I called and they said I had stains SWEAT all over the dress!! I wore it for two hours to the Detroit Athletic club and it had ONE small stain from my dressing on the left side of my dress. I am a beautiful size 10 women that trusted this dishonest business owner with my very expensive clothing. DO not trust Him if you like your clothes I hate to tell you this about a human but he promised me today he would bring me a check and my dress and He is a NO SHOW BEWARE and find another cleaners read more

It's been a long time since I have had anything dry cleaned. So we never thought to ask about pricing for cleaning a mans suit and a short dress. The clerk said it would be awhile for it to be done. Which was ok since we did not need them. Several weeks later when we picked up the cost was a shock - $65 !!!??? Suit = $25 and dress =40 !!! The clerk stated that they 'hand clean' everything . We could not argue the cost since they did provide the service. But we were very annoyed. I only paid $50 for the dress - wore it once and was a little sweaty. Probably didn't even need to be cleaned !!! We will not be going back to this business. We feel very ripped off - beware if you do go to this dry cleaners. Be sure you know pricing before agreeing to the service! read more

Great service! I needed my dress tailored ASAP and they had it done for me within the day. It fit very well!

Royalty Cleaners does a great job on my clothes. Suits, shirts, blouses or even fine linen. They have fixed shirts and buttons on my clothes without being told. I have been to six different dry cleaners in the area and without a doubt, Royalty Cleaners is the best. John and his staff are friendly, have excellent service and are outstanding at follow-up. A week before my wedding, there was a leak in my parents roof over the room where my wedding dress was being stored and there was water damage to the bottom of it (I know, I know, I should have had it in the bag). When I took it to Royalty, they said dry cleaning couldn't help it but would actually try water. They were so kind to me as I SOBBED in front of them. The next morning I came in to find that they had gotten the stains out with very minimal water marks, you could barely see one and that was it. They wouldn't even charge me because they said it was the right thing to do. I don't even use dry cleaning but I'm going to find things to dry clean just to use their business. read more
