This is the greatest dry cleaner in the whole world. Not only do they do a good job but they are fantastically friendly. I have a problem getting my hundred white shirts laundered and folded with buttons replaced when needed. After trying every other cleaner in the area I was about to give up. One of them couldn't fold the shirts. The other one returned the shirt to me smelling like other people cigarette smoke. I had almost decided to not wear shirts at all when I tried royalty. They are the best! Seriously! And you get a free bottle of water in the lobby! What could be better? I guess if they serve food that would be better but other than that they're perfect. read more

Amazing!! I had the best service at Royalty cleaners! I had some very important white shirts that developed a weird black residue on them. This could've meant a huge loss financially in damaged inventory for me. John and his staff had me bring them right in, got immediately to work on solving the issue, and fixed the shirts to perfection! They looked beautiful with no trace of the issue within 5 minutes. The greatest there is, nothing short of it. I wanted to have a stain in a very special pair of pants taken care of, and after being turned away by a handful of other cleaners and not taken seriously, the team at Royalty Cleaners said they would give it a try. They were very kind even though I was calling them basically twice a day out of fear for the worst, and ultimately they ended up working the miracle. Had a 1 black golf polo and 1 black dress pants that were not dirty just needed to be pressed. She told me to come back in a couple hours and didn't tell me a price. When I came back she charged me almost $21 for 1 black golf polo and 1 black dress pants no stains. There are no prices visible in the store and even the other employees could tell that was a ridiculous price for 2 pressed garments. There are certain places that are higher than most but that's just a hustle and they will never see my buisness again nor receive a positive response. Awesome, the owner was real nice. Tide dry cleaning in Birmingham off Woodward and ruined my Versace suit. Totally pressed it wrong and made it look like a cheap flimsy suit from Macy's or something. Looked on yelp and saw how someone advised going here and I'm glad I did. Royalty totally fixed up something I thought I had to trash or donate after wearing twice in my life. I explained to the owner what happened and he told me to drop it off and would check it out. He ended up making it look close to new. He didn't even charge me to fix it up which was extremely nice and unexpected. Great business move that totally won me over. Highly recommend and will always come here for things I truly care about!! I dropped my 2 pc suit here based on their reviews on yelp, and they are not too far away from me. I did not ask how much when I dropped it off, thinking how expensive could it be? When I picked it up and they told me it was $25, I was surprised. Seems very pricey to me but I haven't had a suit cleaned in a long time. I will not likely be going back here. The staff are incredibly friendly and personable, and they truly take the best care of your garments. The price is a little higher than others that are nearby, but it's definitely worth it. A shirt laundry in Royal Oak that I had gone to for more than 30 years recently closed for good. After reading some yelp reviews on Royalty Cleaners, I decided to give them a try. Last week, I dropped off two dress shirts there with instructions that they be cleaned and pressed with no starch and hung on hangers. When I picked them up this week, they were done exactly as I had asked. Each shirt had a permanent tag at the bottom with my name, a description of the shirt, and the instructions I left when I dropped them off. Very nice job! PS: On rare occasions, the previous shirt laundry broke some buttons on my shirts. When I picked up my shirts from Royalty, the buttons were the first thing I looked at. All were intact! read more

Dropped off my wedding dress and veil to be cleaned here based off of reading all of the good reviews for wedding dresses on Yelp. They asked if I wanted it preserved and boxed and I said no, just the cleaning. I was given a ticket and told it would be ready in two weeks. I came two weeks later they told me it was no where near being done and to come back in a month. A month goes by and I return. This time to find out they have misplaced my dress! They could not find it at their store so they assured me it must be with the preserving/boxing company they ship out to. I told them I had not asked for boxing so it shouldn't be there, they said they just sent all of the dresses they had there without looking. I made them call the boxing company while I stood there because I wanted confirmation my dress was there and they told them that they didn't have it in their system but they had a backlog of dresses waiting to be put in their system. He hung up and assured me it must be there. Never apologizing I might add. I left stressed thinking my dress was lost. I came back two weeks later and they said it was confirmed it was at the boxing place, but not done. I came back two weeks later, still not done - though they never gave me timing. I finally called last week and they said it was done and ready for pickup - 3 months later. I told them when I picked it up how unhappy I was with my experience and that I wouldn't pay for the preserving/boxing because I hadn't asked for it. They did take off $130 (originally $275 and I ended up paying $145). I just felt like it was a total cluster and totally unorganized. My wedding dress is very sentimental to me and I wouldn't have taken it there if I knew the mess it would've ended up being. I would take yours to be cleaned/boxed elsewhere. read more

I live super close to this place, so it seemed convenient, especially given the positive reviews. I don't use dry cleaning service much, so I can't compare this to much, but I was pleased. They warned me that they're more expensive, but they did give me a discount because it was my first time and I live close. All of their work is done by hand, and they'll work to make all your clothes beautiful like the day you bought them. They de-pilled a sweater that I had already brushed and thought was unfixable. The little things are what makes this the place to bring your clothes. I've been a customer since we moved to Clawson in 2012. Everyone who works here is especially friendly and personable. They pay a lot of compliments, which seemed weird at first but now I'm hooked on the pick-me-ups when I'm making a pick-up. I like that they give out free collar points whenever I need them. When I need a rush job, they get it done on time every time. Also charming: The store looks exactly as it did when it opened in the 1960s. I needed to get my trench coat cleaned, and received a recommendation to Royalty. While I'm about a 30-45 minute drive from Royal Oak, it is worth it. The staff was very friendly and thorough, and when I picked up my coat it was like brand new - the finish of the exterior of the coat was pristine, and all of the outside buttons had been adjusted so they weren't loose from wear. I definitely will be back again for my coat, suits, and anything else that needs dry cleaning. I've used them several times for bedsheets, sweaters, suits, and dresses. They are friendly, and helpful and though they sometimes take longer than I expected, I never on my part asked for an actual deadline, so I can't say its their fault they took longer than what they casually mentioned as a pick up date. They've also helped carry heavy items to my car for me as well. It's been a long time since I have had anything dry cleaned. So we never thought to ask about pricing for cleaning a mans suit and a short dress. The clerk said it would be awhile for it to be done. Which was ok since we did not need them. Several weeks later when we picked up the cost was a shock - $65 !!!??? Suit = $25 and dress =40 !!! The clerk stated that they 'hand clean' everything . We could not argue the cost since they did provide the service. But we were very annoyed. I only paid $50 for the dress - wore it once and was a little sweaty. Probably didn't even need to be cleaned !!! We will not be going back to this business. We feel very ripped off - beware if you do go to this dry cleaners. A week before my wedding, there was a leak in my parents roof over the room where my wedding dress was being stored and there was water damage to the bottom of it (I know, I know, I should have had it in the bag). When I took it to Royalty, they said dry cleaning couldn't help it but would actually try water. They were so kind to me as I SOBBED in front of them. The next morning I came in to find that they had gotten the stains out with very minimal water marks, you could barely see one and that was it. They wouldn't even charge me because they said it was the right thing to do. I don't even use dry cleaning but I'm going to find things to dry clean just to use their business. read more

I took two coats over the summer to Royalty upon the suggestion of a sales associate at the Burberry store. He recommended them highly and stated that the store sends all of their merchandise to be cleaned there. I was willing to drive an hour there and back, because I wanted to make sure my coats would not be damaged. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. I picked up my coats a few weeks later and put them in the coat closet until a week ago when I needed to wear one of them. The first coat, a red Burberry wool duffle, came back beautifully cleaned. When I unwrapped my black Canada Goose parka I was shocked to see white residue surrounding all of the seaming detail. I tried to wipe the parka down thinking that might remove the residue, but as soon as the material dries it re-appears (which leads me to think it's faded rather than residue). When I took my parka in, it was fine with no fading whatsoever and appeared almost new. I'm so disappointed that my parka now looks old and faded, and that a very expensive piece of outerwear is aesthetically ruined. read more
