Had my class ring from high school stolen there (1967 Immaculata with blue stone) Once someone took all my clothes in dryer and did not return them when they must have known they were not his load. A great laundromat. I came here to wash a couple of comforters that are just too big for my washer at home and was pleasantly surprised. There's ample free parking right outside the door off of the alley, which is great for when your hands are completely full. Lots of washers. It's bright and clean and smells like clean laundry. It's definitely a little dated -- like the "Funnnies" poster from July 1989 with Rosanne Barr pictured on it, but maybe that's part of the charm? There is a change machine in the back by the dry cleaning, free coffee, free wifi, cable TV, a play structure for kiddos, and lots of table space and laundry carts. Standard washes are $1.75/load, super washes are $4.00/load, and triple load washes are $5.00/load. There is a centrifuge that costs $0.75 for a big load that promises to cut drying time in half. Big dryers are $0.25. What a pleasant place to do some laundry! read more

Fabricare is the best. Been coming here for years. They both are a dry cleaners and a coin laundromat. The laundry is a do it yourself coin operated system that you would usually expect but tons of machines so waiting is rarely an issue. There is a vending machine for suds. The dry cleaning side is fantastic. They always clean and press to perfection, they operate thier own plant on premises and they can tailor, hem or repair anything in house if youre willing to wait a few days. After reading the other reviews for Fabricare Cleaners, I decided to give them a try and I am glad that I did! I have never been to a laundromat before so I have nothing to compare it to, but I had a great experience. As a first timer, I had questions and the staff was helpful and courteous. At their recommendation, I used the jumbo load washer to clean my king size comforter. It took 21 minutes to wash and cost $8.50. The dryers were approximately 25 cents per five minutes and I used the remaining $1.50 from the $10 that I had changed into quarters using their machine. Should I need to go to a laundromat again, I will definitely be back. read more

I give this a 5 star for laundromat standards in the area. I use to go to the other one down the street which is always busy and I have waited many times for the larger machines and dryers. So I searched this one out and boy was I glad I did! I am not sure why so many flock to the other Clawson laundromat when right here are tons of updated machines and dryers! Always what you want is open. It's clean, the people that run it are always there and very friendly! If you do weekly laundry or just need large machines for bedding check this one out. Your typical no-frills laundromat. I have never had a problem getting a machine here. The prices are fair compared to other options in the area. Nothing fancy but will return if my washer and dryer aren't working or I have a large amount to wash in a pinch. read more

My mother went to this mat on a Sunday to wash since our washer has been down and she took my 5 year old with her and my 12 year old with her. My 5 year old had an accident and spilt his pop on the floor who my mother and son was picking it up and the lady who works there yeld at my mom and son who is only 5 years old about the split pop on the floor. When I found out about it I called up there asking for another number to talk with someone about this situation and the women who works there being unprofessional and she told me why why do you want another number she then said at this point no you can talk to me I told her who I was as it being the same lady who yelled at my mom and son she told me no Im not giving you a number or anyone you can talk to and started yelling at me as well. The lady who worked today Sunday 6/28 at 10 am is very unprofessional and should not be working around the public who yelled embarrassed and made my kids very upset. She has yet to still give me the number to talk with someone. My 5 year old had an accident and they picked it up no damage and for her to yell at my family and then disrespect me and call me out my name when I called to talk or get in contact with someone higher up. Very unprofessional. Im only giving a one because it will not let me post this with not having a rating after my experience at this mat. It would be a zero!! read more

This is the best laundromat in the area. There are plenty of machines, they all work unless otherwise marked, there is tons of square footage and plenty of tables to fold your laundry at. They also have huge machines for washing large comforters. read more

I visited this laudromat because the one near my house was not opened. Initially, I was very impressed with the large size and availability of washers and dryers and figured this might be a better place to do laundry. All that excited came to an end when my family and I had to interact with the attendant in duty. My daughter decided she wanted a snack from the vending machine, she attempted to get skittles and chips, both snacks were caught in the ring instead of dropping down to the retrieval area. She went over to inform the attendant, who appeared to be very annoyed that she ws bothered about the machine not working properly. Hesitantly, she walked over and assisted my daughter with getting the skittles and told her that the chips wouldn't fall because those were the last bag in the row. The attendant returned the 75 cents and walked away. My daughter decided she would choose another bag of chips from a different row that had more bags available. Unfortunately, that item failed to drop as well. When my daughter went to inform the attendant , she yelled and said those arent your chips. I approached the attendant and asked what was the problem with returning her monies or assisting again. She started to yell and point her finger at me telling me that she had already given her money, and now she asking her for more and she should have told her before she walked away that another item was stuck. I said if you listen to me, you'll gain and understanding of what happened when you walked away. She then tells me she has cameras, I said check your cameras my kids is not trying to rob your vending machine. The attendant got up went into a back room and retrieved a dollar, as she walked I asked her to view the camera together, but she didnt respond to me. She proceeded to walk over to the machine, saw another bag of chips were stuck in the ring of a different row. She didnt acknowledge it or apologize for her accusation of attempted theft. She just put a dollar in the machine, hit coin return and then abruptly gave them to my daughter while telling her not to buy anything else. Her attitude and customer service was absolutely horrible and disgraceful. I wont return to this business, poor customer service for any type of service or dollar amount is a huge disappointment and makes for dissatisfied customers. read more

I've been an occasional customer at Fabricare for the past 4 years with no problems. This past time I went to Fabricare was likely my last time going there. I came in around 8pm, fully aware that they close at 10pm. I was just washing a couple of things and I knew I could get everything washed and dried before they closed. At about 9:30, the employees started cleaning up (mopping the floor, etc), which was totally fine. But then when they had finished cleaning, they stood there and stared at me, like "why are you still here". Then -- it was about 9:45 now -- the woman came up to me and told me I needed to take my stuff out of the dryer (that I still had 10 minutes left on, PAID for) and take it home and finish it there. I was literally speechless. The operating hours posted on their door, website, etc. still gave me 15 minutes left to do my laundry there, but I was being kicked out by an employee eager to get off of work. So I grabbed my stuff, much of it slightly damp, and got out of there. I had to re-wash everything in my coin-operated Apt. complex machines the next day because my clothes had sat damp overnight, and it was a huge duplicate waste of money. read more

I give this laundry a 1 star rating if I could I would give no stars. The laundry is extremely cold and the machines have the distinct odor of mildew. The soap loading compartments on the machine have caked on detergent. The fabric softener compartment has mold in it. Now the owners are rude but their son, I am assuming, is downright nasty. He rolls his eyes at customers and gets really hostile if asked a question. They have recently raised the price on all of their extractors which would not be needed if the machines would properly spin the water out of the clothes. If you are in the area find another laundry to use. The owners and their son act as if they are doing you the paying customer a favor when in fact if it were not for the annoying customers they would not even be in business. I for one even as I post this am at Sears to buy my own so I will never have to come here again! read more

I've been going there for nearly fifty years, and would have rated them five star quality until recently. I found out the hard way that the newest owners don't give a hoot about the satisfaction of their customers. Unfortunately, the last time I did my laundry there, and unbeknownst to me, one of the dryers had already ruined someone else's clothes. I overheard an older woman sitting next to me as she was complaining about this situation to someone on her cellphone, but she left before I could ask her which dryer was the culprit. Since the long blond haired foreign born attendant did NOT bother to attach an "out of order" sign to that particular dryer, my clothes were totally ruined with ink stains too: three beautiful shirts and my favorite hoodie! Talking to the attendant was useless, since she has absolutely NO people skills. The Asian male owner turned on his heel and left the building during my conversation with him, right after another man stepped in to show the owner more proof: he had put his clothes into that hot dryer and immediately pulled them back out when he realized my clothes were in the two adjacent dryers. Just being in that dryer momentarily, his shirts had also ended up with ink stains. Three customers had their clothes ruined in the same night before the attendant posted a warning! It took me over a month of runarounds while enduring the owners' nasty attitudes to get a $30 "payment" from them for my ruined clothing. I will NEVER go back there!!! read more
