Very nice laundry mat. The women who works there, Nagham, is always so sweet and helpful. She keeps the areas clean and tidy. I had an issue with putting too much soap and she was quick to help me! I will continue to go to this laundry mat because of the service she provided to me! Thank you, Nagham! read more

I honestly have not been to a laundromat in years, so when we had to go to one to wash linens from our wedding, I had no clue what to expect. I found this one and tried it out based on the good reviews, and we were honestly blown away! The inside was so clean, spacious, and looked brand new. You can either bring your own detergent or buy it there, and they have several machines, all in varying sizes and prices. As far as payment goes, you can either pay in quarters (they have an ATM and a change converter on site) or you can use a mobile app to pay, which connects to Apple Pay. That's what we did and I found it to be super seamless. The woman working was super helpful and explained everything to us! We had a great experience here and I'll definitely keep it in mind for any other laundering needs. read more

First time using a laundromat and the woman working was very kind and gave me a quick tutorial on the machine and the app. Super clean, nice seating areas, free coffee and bottled water for patrons. Televisions playing different shows so take your pick on what to watch. Lots of space so you didn't feel crowded - I utilized it for getting in some steps while I waited for the washing machine. Open 24 hours too! read more

Shit hole. Owner is disgusting which matches the vibe of the place. Over barges, machines don't work had the time. Musty smells.

First time here. Nice and clean. Plenty of washers, dryers and carts. All in good order. Can use coins or the DexterPay App. Really easy to use the app & the machines. They also sell a variety of soaps & softeners. Highly recommend! read more

The laundromat itself is very nice. Clean and lots of washer size options for different size loads. BE AWARE that if you use the app for the washing machines, all the extra options (extra rinse, extended wash, etc) ARE AUTOMATICALLY ON, charging you $2 more per wash unless you manually turn each one off. This is why only 4 stars from me. Besides that, it's a decent laundromat read more

If you like being harassed for no reason while quietly waiting for your laundry, by the owners because they don't like the way you look, then this is the place for you! No but seriously if you enjoy being screamed at by a fully grown adult man for absolutely zero reason, while paying for overpriced laundry machines, then this place is a must. Number 1 spot in the county to be profiled and yelled at for sitting quietly by insecure old men. If that's your bag, then this joint is a 10/10 experience. read more

Skylar, the upscale laundromat chain. I've only been to this location but it appears from looking around on here that they all look very similar with big light up sports logos, flat screen TVs and odd rustic Americana and arts and crafts stuff hung up on pristine but artificially weathered wood. They really try too hard with those cozy den thing, straddling the line between man cave and antique mall mom but whatever. I'm used to laundromats with yellowed white paint and names carved into counters and tables. And that are open all night. The respectability of this place almost makes me feel uncomfortable coming here. It is nice to have machines that aren't malfunctioning or fussy taking coins. (They have a pay app, too, but I didn't use it on either of my visits.) They do have a somewhat subpar magazine selection so that's more par for the course for laundromats I'm used to. (If they even have magazines!) Free water is an unexpected and welcome perk but doesn't really make up for the prices here. There's nothing really wrong with Skylar but give me a cheap, rundown laundromat that stays open all night for late sleeping, evening shift workers like me. read more

Still has some of that new building smell. It's a medium priced laundry with some pretty nice amenities. I would definitely recommend it to others. read more

I came to wash a blanket. The website advertises multiple ways to pay. It required me to download an app. I got an"error" message so I asked if there was any other way to pay. She was very dismissive and walked to a sign with the QR code to scan and pointed at it and walked away. Very poor customer service. I ended up pumping 10.50 in quarters in the machine. I asked if there were alternatives but she did not help or even say no read more

I right a good report for Imen at the Skylar Laundry Matt in Oak Park. She is a good person and worker. read more

Many washers and dryers available, so when it's very busy, you have a good chance of finding a machine to use. Also, you can pay for the washer/dryer through the DexterPay app, which also allows you to have the settings of load to your specifications and the app also gives updates on how long your load has to go, and reminds you of which machine you are using. LOL Clean, wide open area and safe establishment. read more

I love this laundry mat it is so clean. There's a few of them around the city each one looks the same. I enjoy doing my laundry here

They are always really busy but it's clean and you can pay with Apple Pay. All in all a nice place

One of the first places I check out anywhere I go that tells me everything I need to know about a place is the restroom! The restrooms are so clean and well kept, no wet floors! Another feature I love about this laundromat is the fact of not having to carry a tons of quarters since you can pay and start the machines using the mobile app (I don't like carrying cash). The staff is always so friendly. read more

I drop my laundry to be washed. They have lost my work apron and now today they lost my underwear! When I asked about missing items all I get is them saying sorry. When my laundromat reopens I will go there. Skylar laundry owes me thirty dollars read more

This laundromat is THE BEST. As a single mom with a toddler - laundry is never easy and never done. I wish I had the name for the ladies working here, but they were awesome. Aside from continuously cleaning , the other was checking machines and taking calls. After a trip to the potty with my little one, we came back out to one of the televisions with cartoons on just for her. The little things my friend, the little things. Aside from being meticulously clean, there were comfy chairs nearby and it was very spacious, even while busy. I highly recommend this laundry facility and will most definitely be returning myself. read more

Best laundromat around. I won't go to any other! It's clean and well kept. They offer a drop off service for a small price. But I downloaded the app and it tells me exactly how many minutes I have left before my load is done so I just go do some shopping in the area while I wait. read more

Not enough comfortable chairs I think people go elsewhere . people just want comfort not these wooden seats that are a decorative item.

Hands-down the coolest laundromat. Prices were a little steep but you pay for the cleanliness. Only down for was the guy doing laps of the place singing. Will be back read more

First time coming here, I typically try to avoid the laundromat, because of bad experiences at other places, you know the random weirdo that always seems to be there with you alone and freak's you out... not here, very well lighted, warm friendly workers, instructions on how to use machines... and how to download the app for payment... I didn't know they went high tech... lol. Comfy, free water and coffee, charging areas, TV's and by far the cleanest laundromat I've ever been in. I will definitely be back. read more

Skylar Laundromat - This is about half of the washing machines, super clean! - Laundromat Near Me - Madison Heights, Michigan

I use to go to a Laundromat on Cherry Hill rd in Inkster rd, it was run down but a friendly place to do Laundry... It closed and for a while and Skyler bought it ... so I started to use the new Laundromat on Cherry Hill and Inkster rd . it use to be a McDonalds.. great place.. last week I was walking by the new Skylar Laundromat on Cherry Hill in inkster and the sign out front said "OPEN SOON" so I walked down the side walk and looked into the window just to see how my old Laundromat was doing after Skyler took over it was still being worked on BUT a person inside came yelling at me to get away very very rude no respect.. this is how Skyler treats customers? WHY? I'm 72 years old with a cane I must look very treating person.. I was going to go back to my old Laundromat.. but I'll stay with the one I'm at now. I would NOT recommend Skylar Laundromat on Cherry Hill in inkster to anyone for the way they treat Senior Citizens read more

Brand new equipment!! Actually, everything is brand new. Everything is super clean. The two employees at the location were quick to clean up as people were done with their laundry. I went at 7:30am and it was perfect, hardly anyone was there. They followed all Covid protocols. The only thing I didn't like about the equipment was that when you added the detergent, it went directly to the clothes. Also, if you are using bleach, you need to wait until the machine prompts you to add the bleach. Overall, I truly recommend this laundromat. read more

The staff is so nice. They offer a clean safe place to wash. Free bottle of water to customers. The washers and dryers are well maintained. They also have everything you need to wash with for sale. read more

This place was awesome, as far as laundromats go. As we are awaiting a new washer, we took a few loads to Skylar. It looks fairly new inside, clean machines, clean interior, and free coffee. They do sell some laundry supples. There's a coin machine or you can pay through their phone app. The attendent was helpful and busy (not sitting on her butt using her phone). There's a TV and several benches to sit on. Highly recommend this place. read more

I was going to the same laundromat for years. However it caught on fire. My sister highly recommended this place, and Im glad she did. it was wonderful all the way around. it was VERY clean. Very clean laundromat and staff assisted me, as it was my first time using their facility. There are so many washers ranging from single load to 8 load washers. Although it seems super pricey for the largest washers they cleaned clothes and my bedding well all in one load rather than my tiny apartment washers. They offer complimentary water bottles and coffee while you wait. read more

My boyfriend and I recently moved into an apartment that only has a small washer/drier room that isn't very conducive to cleaning clothes. (There's spiders galore in there and they don't take care of the machines) so we thought we would give Skylar Laundromat a go! While the facilities are nice and clean, I was shocked at the cost of just one wash cycle. I used the mid-sized washer and it was $6.75 per load. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for, but I didn't see my clothes being cleaner and nicer just because I paid more for the wash. We ended up taking our clothes back to the apartment laundry to dry them. Nice place! Overpriced though. read more
