Unless you want the absolute worst customer service, and damaged clothing, I'd highly recommend not going to the laundry place in Clawson.. not only are the employees less than helpful with bitter attitudes. We had taken shirts there for dry cleaning and when I picked up today, there's a huge burn mark on one of my husbands shirts with a tag noting and they wanted to bring special attention insinuating that we brought it in like this. I took the shirt back up there because I realized it once I brought it home and they let me know that it was brought in that way and that they sprayed it with shout that same day so they can guarantee it was brought in that way, and that it was not from the process. The only thing they were willing to do was to go ahead and dry clean it again to which I declined because obviously a burn is a burn.. anyways rant over moving on with my day but 10 out of 10 do not recommend! read more

My washing machine decided to stop working and getting a new one delivered will take a few weeks. I have only been to a laundromat probably twice in my life, and that was probably over 25 years ago. So my search began to find a place to wash my clothes. I looked online at several different ones, and this seemed like the best place to come. I wasn't sure how it worked when I walked in. I asked the lady at the counter, super nice and helpful. I was impressed by how clean the place was, not sure what I was expecting. I also liked that you can download an app and link it to your card. This is a great laundromat for my giant comforters, down and otherwise. I took my large duvet covers here as well as a thick and oversized comforter from the spare bed. What a load off my shoulder and headache free experience. They have a lot of machines and they are huge and can easily handle some large scale covers. They have a few seats and took about 2 hours to get it washed and fully dry. They do provide service to do the laundry of any sort if you don't have the patience to wait. I usually go and grab a bite at any of the restaurants on 14 mile or on Main Street, lots to pick from. Otherwise bring your phone, iPad or a good book and hunker down while you wait. read more

The ladies are rude. They don't acknowledge or say hello when customers come in the door. One morning I came in and spoke the lady didn't say a word. I put my clothes in the washer and proceeded out the door and kindly asked her if she wanted anything from Wendy's. She said yes and gave me her order. Brought it back and then she said hello and thank you. Well returned on 9-27-24. Again no hello or welcome to the laundry place. Place my clothes in the washer. Our wash machine broke and we had a power outage, so I was forced to find a laundry mat that had power. I was so fortunate to find Laundry Palace. They have many working mega size washers and dryers that fit comforters and blankets. The established COVID safety measures made me feel comfortable and the place is super clean. While I was there I saw 3 attendants which is really great! You can also sign up to have your laundry washed for you for a fee! The tables to fold your clothes on are clean as well as the baskets to out your clothes in! There is an area to wait which has vending machines, tv, table and chairs and free coffee also free WiFi!! Chairs by the machines also if you just want to sit by your clothes and wait. In the back there is pinball machines for the kids and restrooms. Overall a great place to do your laundry! My mom and I had some comforters to wash and decided that it would be best to take them to the laundry mat instead of trying wash them at home. I couldn't find a place closer to home, so we drove to Clawson to try this place out. It's not a half bad place. Clean, well kept, with tons of supplies for sale in case you forget detergent or dryer sheets at home. The washers are large, but a bit outdated, but get the job done just fine. They also have a little sitting area as well with a small flat screen TV, which we thought was kind of cool. The staff here was really helpful and friendly, which is nice to see especially at a laundry mat. It's not the cheapest place, but it's not overpriced either. If I had to, I would come here again even though it's a bit out of the way for me. I think they even do laundry by the pound if you want to drop your stuff off and pick it up later. read more

Absolutely horrifying they lost half of my laundry they charged my card twice they refused to reimburse me so I've had to be absolutely nasty back to them which I don't like doing but unfortunately I was left in a position where I had no choice currently I feel like I'm going to have to take them to court in order to not only receive my money back but to find them for half of my missing laundry I had a delivery service done and they could not accommodate switching on my schedule like they said nor could they turn around and actually do their due diligence in payment for cash or credit it was absolutely ridiculous and I will absolutely never recommend this place. Been going here for almost two months now, and have always had open machines for me to use. For two loads (wash and dry) is about $8. I've been going to the Laundry Palace for many years now because this location is close to my house, but I'm not trying to find another place to do my laundry as I'm tired of the rude staff and crappy customer service that seems to get worse each time I go there. I've gone there for the last time and will never step foot into this place again. First of all the owner of this place is rude and unpleasant. I've had a few incidents where a machine has taken my quarters and when I approach the owner or whomever on duty they make me feel as if I'm trying to rip them off...really?!? The owner of this place should be setting an example for his employees but obviously he's money hungry that he does not care. I've also seen and heard him act rude to the elderly that stop in to. Secondly, the staff are rude and have no customer service skills. I was there last week washing my clothes when one of the staff starting spraying down the tables and the spray stuff went right into my coffee. No apology, she just kept on going about her work. I like this place because they have great-big front loading washing machines that I can use for bedding. Also, they have plenty of washers and dryers, so I've never had to wait. Their dry-cleaning/laundering service, however, is expensive and slow. I won't be using that anymore, but will continue to use their laundromat area. read more

For a laundromat, this is a pretty good spot! I came here with my cat hair covered ginormous comforter. I couldn't wash the thing in my normal washer, so I set out to the Laundry Palace to use the commercial washers. I came early on a Sunday afternoon, and it was PACKED, but luckily a few of the extra large machines were available. I claimed my stake at one, and put my $5.00 in change in. Do your thang, washer. I sat there until it was finished and then tossed it in one of the dryers and went home for a few minutes while the monster blankie dried. When I came back (probably 2:30 at that point) the place was nearly empty. There was the fair share of children running rampant, and some "classy" looking individuals, but other than that, this place is definitely bookmarked for any future de-cat hairing. read more

After using 3 other wash/dry/fold establishments in the Birminghan/Clawson areas, we've found this to be our favorite. The staff is friendly and helpful, the place itself is CLEAN, and the finished results have been outstanding. Clothes have been hung on hangers when appropriate, and professionally folded otherwise (a skill the other businesses were sorely lacking in). Should also mention that they offer a choice of regular or fragrance-free products. Have also sent shirts for laundry/pressing, with good results. Our overall cost has been a couple dollars more here for a very large drop off, but well worth that difference. read more

The owner took my $30 for laundry the. Also decided to take $1350 for no reason. I missed payments on bills and have had to endure over $127 in late fees and over draft fees. The business has done little to really fix this ASAP and just kept telling me that "I'll be fine". Laundry Palace was surprising very clean. They do not have air conditioning which might not be that bad if you are sitting under one of their fans. I found them to be a little expensive with the regular top load washers being $2.25/load and the regular sized dryers are $0.25 for only 5 minutes. They also have a dry cleaning service that I probably will not try because I don't have any prior experience with dry cleaning. read more

Rude staff, not helpful. Won't be back after this experience. Came here for the first time to do a friends mountain of laundry because they had surgery. Literally no one asked if I needed help or greeted me. Asked about getting cash off my card and the one younger lady with glasses said "No but the atm is right there". So I proceeded to use the atm, got my wash going and had 18 minutes to wait for the clothes to finish washing. same girl looks at me and says "are you waiting for your clothes to wash?" I reply yes and she proceeds to tell me I have to wait outside while they wash because they can only have a certain amount of people in the store and that's it's posted on the door. There was two other people other than her and me in there. I ask about what about my stuff/cart I have? She replies rather snotty that I can leave it there. So I ask what about people messing with my clothes or my stuff while I'm outside and she tells me very rudely that I should probably take it with me then. No need to be rude because I'm asking questions as I very rarely go to a laundromat. Won't be back, have several more loads to go and will go to the place around Berkeley. read more
