DO NOT COME HERE. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!! This is an example of how they treat a loyal 2 year customer. I have been coming here since January 2012 until today. I usually spend $5-10 every two weeks in this place which is roughly $130-260 a year in this place. However after today I refuse to spend my money the way I was treated. I proceeded to do my laundry as normal when I was changing my washer to dryer load and I inserted 6 quarters into the dryer. I hit the go button walked away to change my second load to the dryer when I saw the original dryer go off and show I never put any money in. I asked the attendant and she acted like I was trying to rip the place off. She said I must have put the money for somebody else's dryer. Am I an idiot? Am I trying to rip the place off for $1.25??? She told me I was a liar and the machine was correct. Even the woman next to me doing her laundry vouched for me to the attendant... The guy that owns this establishment is a crook, liar and scammer. He does not know how to talk to customers. He's rude and very judgemental. When handling laundry apparently there doing for customers I have observed employees washing multiple orders together instead of separately like they promise to do. Be careful people you may get someone else's underwear in your stuff and this is why. The owner has the front load machines programmed to use very little water which is why he's constantly pushing for people to use them. He doesn't care if your clothes are clean or not. the place is clean and has many machines and decent prices. That being said the owner is very rude and has no customer service knowledge. I took a small throw rug in to be washed and he banged a sign in front of me showing me that I was at the wrong washer. When I told him that he could have just told me instead of causing a scene, he told me to get over it. I will not go back. There are too many places that I can spend my money. I will never take my business here ever again! The staff is absolutely disgusting.. I was folding my laundry on a table that was not being occupied right in front of the dryer I was using when a woman who worked there started huffing and puffing. She then got right in my face and told me she was using these two tables and I needed to move my stuff to another table! I thought she was going to bust a blood vessel with the intensity of the way she scolded me. The last few times my girlfriend and I went there both of the younger female employees have been rude and inattentive. It seems as even a request to get change or ask a question about a machine is too hard for them to answer. After having enough of this and finally speaking with the owner I was not surprised by the way they were behaving. The owner was just as unprofessional and rude as his employees. Gotta one star it after being a frequent customer for yrs.....this is a sad day. However, a ridiculous $10 minimum credit card purchase is the reason. I explained to tye owner directly that I had been a frequent customer for years and if he would let me buy $8 worth of soap, despite the $10 minimum. Horrible, Absolutely horrible. Place is usually a furnace there's no A/C so its always hot in there, Secondly Their machine did not give proper change for a $20 so I'm out 10 bucks that they say one of their costomers stole. Its filthy there is lint everywhere. The washing machines are on the sucky side. My husband dropped his clothes off to be washed there and he ended up getting a rash from the cheap laundry soap they use. Clothes smelled horrid after we got them back. Do not waste your time or money here. The owner manager is a total miser and has a poor attitude, told me not to come back there ha ha ha, Like I would ever be caught in their poor filthy establishment again. Do not recommend. I had to wash a few pillows and this is the only option in town (unfortunately). After pumping in $8.50 for one of the commercial washers (which you could wash a couch in) and setting the water to HOT, I noticed the water pouring in was ice cold. After notifying the owner, apparently I wax inconveniencing him, he trudged back behind the washer and turned on the hot water. What a scam - charging people $8.50 a load and saying tricking them into thinking they're getting hot water when this slime-ball is pumping in cold. Needless to say - this is my first and last load at this place! The one star I gave is for the change machine - it takes bills of all shapes. read more

Walked in for the first time right at 9:00 PM to put one load of laundry in. The lady working gave me a look as if they were closing and looked at her watch. on their website and everywhere it states 9:15 PM is last load of laundry, so that is exactly what I said to her. I asked her if I could buy soap and walked around the counter and she proceeded to tell me about how my laundry was going to take too long and basically said I couldn't do it tonight. I made it very clear she should let the manager know they shouldn't be false advertising and her response was "I know". Poor customer service and communication, I won't be back. read more

OK. So I've lived all over the U.S., but I'm a 30-something professional who has most recently moved here from Chicago. I wanted to find a CLEAN laundromat, and scouted out the area for something close, convenient, and cost effective. This place was all three and has dry cleaning available as well. If you forget your detergent, it's not going to cost you an arm and a leg to buy it there. Plus, the staff is really nice, and the clientele isn't freaky. I brought in my laptop and worked while my laundry was going. They have a TV, complimentary coffee, pinball machines, candy machines, etc. Plus, it's within walking distance of an ice cream place (if you have the kids) a beer joint (if you need a drink) and a car wash (if you're going all out and want to wash the car while you've got the laundry in and extra quarters in your pocket. My dryer died this week and laundry has been piling up. I tried going to a different laundromat and didn't feel comfortable there. Decided to drive the extra 10 minutes here based upon a few recommendations. Brought about 1/4 of what I needed to do because I didn't know how it'd be. But while their priced are a little high, it's clean, comfortable and I was able to bring my laptop and get some work done while waiting on the machines. I'll be back this weekend. read more

Free wifi, good amount of units -- as only an occasional laundromat user (I like my clothes really, really dirty -- what can I say?) it's pretty much what I'm looking for. I'm pretty sure everything is a little more expensive than you might find at other laundromats, but the atmosphere is better and the staff is great and customers are alright, too. I always have a good laundromat experience when I go, whether it's to wash a bigger item or a load of laundry if my power is out. I don't really recommend them for drycleaning, though -- higher prices and no noticeable quality difference. read more

The attendant recommended how much time to put on the dryer. Then when it was time to close she told us we had to go because the alarm was going to be set. This was despite the fact she gave no warning, and we had time left on the dryer. Keep in mind... this is time that SHE recommended. My washer died, we replaced it with a new high efficiency and that needed repair 3 months in because you can't wash rubber-backed rugs in these machines (for the record, NOT noted in the owners manual)!!! I had rugs to wash, another laundromat was going to charge me $100 ----$44 at the Laundry Palace!!! That's amazing for drop-off service, imagine if I stayed and washed them myself! As a former apartment dweller, this is the Cadillac of laundromats: friendly staff, very clean facility and AMAZING prices.....;-D thanks again! read more

I needed a wash and fold service that would pick-up and deliver, and deliver they did! I just had too much laundry to wash fold and hang and work a 70 hour work week. They did exactly what they promised they would. I plan on telling all my friends about this place. They even made exception to come to my house because I live so far away. Please use this service if you have more money than time, they really saved the day. read more

This is the best Laundry place ever did 3 months worth of laundry at a reasonable price only using 2 washers and one dryer unlike other places you don't have to re -dry clothes cause the dryers are Amazing! Just left here I highly recommend also they are super clean in there as will have a great sitting area and excellent wifi also next to a lot of great restaurants read more

Went back today to give them another chance. Spoke to one of the employees who was there when the incident in the last review took place. The owner came out and stated his customer service manager "Chris" said he spoke with me and that I wanted the employee fired. The alleged conversation NEVER took place. The owner then questioned why I didn't say anything to the employee. I advised I was very upset at the time. The owner has no customer service skills. He refused to allow me to vent saying he would not continue to talk to me unless I took it in his words "down a notch."At that point I gathered my things and left. I will NEVER return. read more

I showed up to wash a few items. The worker was nice enough to hold the door open for me, watching me bring in 2 loads in baskets and easy to see. After bringing my rugs in she informed me that I could not wash my rugs there. Apparently they only allow certain rugs. She could have told me when she saw me bringing the items in, when she was holding open the door for me. Instead she waited for me to carry all of them in and then told me I wasn't allowed to wash them. There is no sign anywhere that i could see inside the establishment and most surely none on the window. I drove all the way there for nothing. Then after all this was done some snippy older man sitting near the counter started to make very rude comments. I left and went to another laundromat and did not have a problem. And it was cheaper to boot. read more

So My machines in my complex suck, XS washers & dryers are a joke, you'll go broke trying to dry here. So I yelp Laundry, found Laundry Palace... Plenty of machines $2 not the smallest tubs, that would be at my complex! but for $2 they could be a bit larger, I ended up making 3 loads out of my usual 2. Dryers are .25cents/ 6mins good dryers, I doubled up one of them with work scrubs and T-shirts & used $1.25/36mins dried fine. And a load of towels very thick $1.50/42mins, I think $1.25 would have done it though. Attendant kept it tidy, my only problem with him is he wiped everything down with the same cloth, I watched him wipe something off floor & then wipe machines & table with same cloth, so he's spreading stuff everywhere! So wipe down your machine first, I do this anyway, and wipe your folding table down well, I always bring Clorox wipes for these things. Other than that, nice place, you get in, you get out, that's all I need in a laundromat. Plenty of parking also, empty Sundays after 5pm and free wifi & cable TV, and nice dive bar right next door! read more

Pretty good place to go if you have to wash clothes, as they have many machines and the place is kept pretty clean. My only grip I would say is the older, tall manager, perhaps owner that works there tends to be on the meaner side. He runs that place like a tight ship - God forbid you do something wrong...if he's there you will be corrected. But, all and all, it's decent. Safe area, also, which is a plus. read more

I've found the Laundry Palace to be quite clean which is the most important feature to me. All the machines I've used have worked great. The owner gave me some good tips yesterday on the advantages of the front-loading machines. Contrary to what others have written, this laundromat DOES have air conditioning but, on hot summer days with many dryers running, it would be difficult for any AC to keep the place cool. The employees have been very friendly and helpful to me when I've had questions. The comfortable sitting area with a TV is an added bonus. I will continue to use the Laundry Palace because it's the best. read more

Have been going here for 3 years and it had always been ok. Went a couple weeks ago and my clothes all smelled like lighter fluid from the dryer. Several of us mentioned it to the attendant, who was useless. I called a few days ago to see if the problem had been resolved and spoke to a very rude woman who said "As far as I know it's fixed." Tried to blame it on the renovations next door, which may or may not be the cause. No apology or offer of any explanation or compensation for my smelly clothes and negative experience. VERY RUDE STAFF!!!! My dryer at home broke at about 830pm. I had a load of wet towels and sheets that had to be dried or else they'd smell like mildew. I did a Google search and saw the last load at this place was at 915 and it was close to home so I packed up, jumped in my car and made it by 910. The woman working was talking aggressively to a man about being open so late. I put my towels in the dryer and a load of scrubs for work in the washing machine and the lady working walked by me saying "great, now she just started a load". I pointed out on the door it says the last load was at 915 and she just kept walking by. I sat down in the tv area and she purposely turned off the tv. So a little while later as people were leaving a gentleman said goodbye to her, she said goodbye and when he walked out the door she mumbled "jackass" under her breath. VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN!!!!!!!! I would give this business a -5 stars if that was an option! read more

Due to the flood in Royal Oak in early August I have used Laundry Palace several times to do my laundry. I have found the owner and the staff to be friendly and helpful whenever I have occasioned to visit this laundromat. On all occasions the laundromat has been clean which is not surprising as I often observe the staff walking through the isles and cleaning as necessary. I especially like the new coin machine that quickly distributes 80 quarters to me when I insert a twenty-dollar bill. I live on a sailboat in the summer and use various laundromats in Michigan and Ontario, Canada. Laundry Palace has the hottest water of any laundromat I have ever used. They are also reasonably priced. The last compliment I would like to offer applies to the various sizes of dryers available to accommodate very large loads (3 quilts) or smaller sizes for smaller loads. I love that I can finish all my laundry in just over an hour. By the way, they have a Wi-Fi connection. read more
