It is the day before a holiday weekend and also the day after a huge storm where many lost power, so businesses were closed. In a panic, I ran to Douglas Cleaners, hoping they could save the day. And guess what? They did! Amy made a point to get this done quickly and efficiently and she got all of the perfume out. A miracle and so appreciated. Great service from a clearly well run business! I go to pick up the suit and right off the bat, I can tell it wasn't 'white' anymore but a 'yellowish' looking color. Upon closer inspection, there were blotches of yellow/brown stains all over the entire jacket and trousers. I can't believe that they would try and pass this off as acceptable and just assume that the customer was dumb enough not to see it! I rejected it and asked them to redo the process again. I picked it up a few days later and the blotches are still there and the suit has lost its bright white color. I can't even find a replacement white linen suit anymore. I should have done a little more research before I settled for this place. Never again!

After the incident, there was a sizeable malodorous stain on my bedding, resembling a cigarette burn. For several weeks, I did not do laundry and slept with only a thin sheet, like I was at a sleepover where my friend did not give me a blanket. Eventually, I ran out of g strings so I was forced to make a decision: use the smoking washer or find a different one. I dusted off my Michael Kors coin purse and took my undergarments and comforter to the Birmingham Laundromat. Unsure if a reoccurring event but there was one individual inside who appeared to be on intravenous pharmaceuticals and was causing a ruckus, but that did not intimidate me. I got the job done and am thrilled that my comforter no longer smells like Virginia Slims. This laundromat is very important to the Birmingham residents that do their own laundry similarly to how a Viagra prescription is essential to the survival of a U.S. Congressman. Will be bringing a spare Narcan next laundry day. Stay blessed.
