Royal Tea is my new go to spot for boba in Orlando. I tried their matcha crème brûlée with boba and it was amazing. The drink was milky and sweet with a perfect balance of matcha flavor. If you are looking for a good matcha boba drink this is the place to go. Matcha drink was so good me and my 4 friends got 4 orders of the it! I like that they let you choose your sweetness level, so you can do 25 percent, 50 percent, or more depending on your taste. They also have other great options like mango tea and original milk tea with a chai twist. The atmosphere is cozy and they have plenty of indoor seating, which makes it a nice place to relax. The service is also very polite and they will even let you change your drink if you do not like it.
On my second visit I give this place a 4, the first round was a 2 star at best. The first time I had the caffe latte with the whipped mousse. It was gross to say the least. I'm not a person who likes super sugary drinks (I usually get 50% sweetness when I order boba) I got regular sweetness this round and the drink didn't taste like there was any sugar at all. To make it worse, the mousse on top was salty and had a weird texture. Not sure why, but they also put matcha powder on top of the mousse, seems random to me and I'm someone who loves matcha lol. My friend got the royal three and was gracious enough to share the deliciousness with me. Loved that one a lot! There are better boba shops around Orlando including within walking distance so this one is a skip for me. The staff is friendly and the store is clean so that is a plus.
I love this place. They are always consistent with the drinks. You can change the level of sweetness and ice. The menus will inform you on all the ingredients in each item so you will always know what it is in it. I will say they add something extra that I can't replicate so that's why I always go back because it's wonderful. My husband can't wait to go back for when they have the peppermint version of black milk tea. They are always friendly and helpful when you ask.
Food quality: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 4/5 First time trying RoyalTea out and got the Royal Bubble Tea. The staff was nice and the cafe was clean. I wish that there was a better indicator of which drink were dairy vs non-dairy and also what ingredients make up the drink. The menu board was pretty plain and if you wanted more detail, you have to ask for each drink. The boba was not great. Texture was fine, but it was bland and had no taste. Not sure if they forgot to soak the boba in sugar, but it was not flavorful at all. The tea itself was ok, not a very strong tea flavor. That might have just been an off day, but probably won't be going back.
No exaggeration when I say this is the worst tea spot in Orlando. I always get the same thing whenever I'm at tea shops: Jasmine tea, add milk, boba, and lychee jelly. However, when I came to order their Jasmine tea and I asked to add milk, they told me they couldn't. I asked "oh do you guys not carry milk tea". They said that they do however, it's "store policy" to only add milk to ONE specific tea and you cant add it to any other tea on their menu... I have never heard of a place telling you you can't add milk (something that they do carry and sell) to their drinks. I suggest management get rid of this silly rule. That'd be like going to Starbucks, asking to add milk to your coffee and them saying no. There's only one drink on their menu that you can add milk to. There were also more restrictions on modifications to your tea such as toppings, boba, lychee, etc. Because of all of the rules and restrictions and not simply being able to add milk to any of their tea or drink options (even thought they carry it), I suggest going to any of the other hundreds of way better tea spots in Orlando. Now onto the actual tea itself, I was disappointment that after all of their tea ordering rules I still ended up getting the Jasmine tea which was gross.. the Jasmine flavor was almost non existent and I'm not sure what sweetener they add to their drinks but it was really nasty and left a weird after taste.
Ordered the Royal Milk Tea, absolutely delicious. It was sweet, creamy, and had a nutty taste as well, which I usually like in a classic milk tea. The place we decorated in a minimalist style, which fit the aesthetic. And of course, service was quick and the employees were considerate and nice.
One of my favorite tea places in the Orlando area! The tea always tastes super fresh and they use wonderful ingredients and fresh fruit. While their menu is more limited than some boba tea places, I think that is for the best as every item is a great choice. Everything we have tried here has been delicious! My two favorites to get are the Matcha Latte and the Lemon Lime Tea. You can also adjust sweetness and choose the type of milk you would like. The tea comes out quickly and the employees have always been so friendly. There are a couple of seats inside the store, and it is a great place to sip on tea and hang out. The only food options available are two dessert options (crème brûlée). But if you are looking for a food or snack, hop over to King Bao that is right next door!
Royaltea has been one of my go to boba spots since they've opened. Their menu is definitely smaller compared to many other boba spots but I like that that their tea is fragrant and just has good flavor overall. Their boba however, is pretty bland and the texture isn't very consistent. At times it's either old or undercooked, where it's not chewy throughout and has a hard center. And the boba doesn't have any sort of flavor or sweetness, some boba shops sweeten their boba a bit so it doesn't taste as bland. Staff is kind, the inside is pretty small and industrial design inside, but parking is a pain since it's street parking only. But overall I still recommend royaltea, I usually go for the Royal Three or the Cheese Mousse Jasmine Green tea.
After finishing lunch at BB.Q Chicken, my friend suggested we walk to get bubble tea at this location down the street and around the corner. It's down one the streets off of Colonial and it's a small, intimate space where you can get your tea and go or sit and chill for a bit. This is the first shop I've been to where they make milk tea drinks with condensed milk instead of fresh milk, non-dairy creamer, or any non-dairy milk of your choice. The Royal 3 tea cannot be adjusted, but the regular Royal Milk tea can be adjusted for sweetness. My friend got the former and I got the latter with half sweetness and boba. Drinks were quick and only took a minute and a half. The staff were polite and worked quickly to get orders out to the window. My friend and I sat for a while and chatted with our drinks for a while. The tea had a great flavor not watered down by the add-ons or condensed milk and and the condensed milk added a creaminess to the drink. Pricing was on par with what I've paid for at other bubble tea shops. With regard to parking, street parking is your best bet, unless you're dining at a nearby establishment and can walk over quickly without getting towed. Do not park in Publix - they warn about towing people very clearly. I would come back here again.

I went in there today & the AC was broken. It was beyond hot. Hotter than outside, imagine that. The people that worked even in these sweaty conditions deserve time & a half for today or just a higher pay in general! Tea: is absolutely amazing. I have spent $1000's in just tea (ask my accountant) lmao. It's the best. Although, the Mousse milk has my heart. read more
Tried to place out because it was new and it looked trendy. The place is small but that's okay. Limited seating. The place was packed when we got in. Royal Three was delicious but the Mousse Milk Tea wasn't my favorite but my boyfriend liked it. The menu is different than other places. I had trouble deciding what I wanted since the menu didn't specify what was in the drink so I had to ask the cashier a bunch of questions to help decide what I wanted. read more

RoyalTea is a little bubble tea shop in Orlando's Little Vietnam in a strip with several other great restaurants (like King Bao). It's a small shop, but they somehow manage to fit window bar seating and a few small tables throughout. They sell all types of bubble tea, but I recommend the standard milk tea. It's pricey, but worth it. They hand make each order so there's a wait, but it's so good. It's the best bubble tea I've had in the USA. read more

Second time here and all I can say is... wow. I now have two favorite teas from here. The stores staple "Royal Tea" which is a most refreshing go to option and it's slightly more sinful counterpart "Cheese Tea". Pro tip add the boba balls for an added texture! read more

So this our third time here in as many days so I guess I should review them This place is so freakin good. If we had one in Vegas I would be there everyday. Rendering all other boba shops obsolete. All their drinks are made to order and use only fresh ingredients. Real fruit. Real tea. Thank you! I got the Royal Fruits Tea the first time and literally drank it in 10 seconds because it was so good. Second time I tried the Mousse Coffee. Light coffee. The mousse isn't overbearing like at some other places and enhances the drink in a good way. Just enough creamy. My wife had a Mousse Milk Tea with Oreo topping (1 free topping with Yelp Check-in). She said "creamy but not too creamy milk tea." "It was a fun drink to drink with the mousse and Oreo." We also tried the Match Mousse which was similar but well, matcha. Oh btw, it's our first time visiting in the day and the line is so long that I have enough time to write this review Glad to know what when we're visiting Orlando there's a great boba shop waiting for us. This tea is worth the long lines and the drive. We always drive pass it and there is lines out the doors, but it's all worth it when you take the first sip of the tea, whether it is their milk tea, fruit tea mixed with boba or cheese! One of the best boba tea places here in Orlando! read more

I thought this was supposed to be one of the best boba places, but it was just ok. Nothing special. I would not make a special trip just to go there again. Staff was nice. Really popular place. Inside was small with a couple tables. read more
The interior is beautiful and modern. The drinks are good. Boba is included in the traditional boba milk tea drink. For 50 cents more you can order the one that comes with pudding. The servers are really nice, and drinks comes out super quickly! We are on vacation in Orlando and we are glad we stopped by here! To note, the drink wasn't amazing (the tea taste wasn't strong and it kind of tastes like sugar water...and I'm a little biased because I'm from San Francisco/ the Bay area), but the cups were really cute and the interior/ambiance a 5/5. If you're trying to grab boba on your way to somewhere and you're not going to stay, I wouldn't necessarily choose here. If you're going to spend time with friends, it's a great spot! read more
I can't get enough of this place. Honestly I have tried a few other things here including the matcha creme brûlée (which is a really delicious pastry) but I keep going back to my mousse coffee! This is usually my order each and every time. I am not a big dairy fan and try to stray away from dairy products but the cheese mousse is just so damn good! read more

I have been to many bubble tea shops from various cities and I can say Royaltea is decent in taste but not worth the trip because of the long wait. We waited almost 40 mins to order and pick up our drinks. I saw that our drinks were done but they wouldn't call customers to pick up until a bunch of orders were ready and they put the lid on all of them. Lines are always long at bubble tea shops, but the baristas are usually fast at making the drinks. However at this location, the baristas seemed to be working hard but maybe the system needs improvement (they also looked pretty stressed). I'm a pretty patient person but this was a bit ridiculous. Inside of the store is also extremely hot because the door is always open for the lines. There isn't a sufficient amount of tables/chairs so it's not a good group hang spot. The noise level is louder than most as well. I gotta say, if you are looking to Instagram maybe it's worth visiting. But maybe look elsewhere if you are just in it for the bubble tea. read more

My first time trying their tea as recommended by many of my tea loving friends, and WOW! What a lovely spot for some unique twists on your favorite milk or fruit teas! I loved the interior, the decor and the vibe of this spot. The employees were super friendly, I couldn't decided what to get so I asked for their recommendation. The cool guy behind counter recommended their Mousse Cheese Milk Tea which would be a nice dessert like tea. I was all in! Sure enough it was amazing! Definitely a dessert in a cup that was like drinking a cheesecake. Yum! My husband, who was not in the tea mood, tried a sip and almost drank the rest of it as he regretted not getting one for himself. Surely, we will be back! read more

Royal Tea you are a joy! I love boba and I was glad to be able to check out RT while I was visiting Orlando the other weekend. It's a pretty small shop so there wasn't much space to sit especially if you come in a large group (we brought 15-20 people.....). But the good thing is, with the line going out the door, it attracts the traffic outside!!! People kept slowing down to see what we were standing in line for as they drove past us since the street is right there! Customer service was great. The line was out the door because they had recently opened, but they did great servicing everyone in a timely manner. Not many options to choose from but that's always a positive in in my opinion! I ordered the royal bubble tea with tapioca and grass jelly. It was delightful, and I generally do not describe my boba experiences with the word "delightful". Chewy, soft pearls! Super friendly staff. They'll help explain the menu and what all their teas are. The place itself is pretty small, so I'd plan on grabbing boba and going. They have a few 2 people seats and one table that could fit 3 people. I got the Royal Tea, which is basically a simple milk tea. It was good. They add a lot of boba, so if you're like me and prefer more tea let them know you only want one scoop. The tea is a little on the sweeter side if you need to adjust sweetness level. The do offer Mousse/Foam milk tea here. I'm not a fan of it, but if you've never had it before it's worth a try! read more
Got the royal tea cheese mousse, Black lychee tea with cheese mousse, and the royal milk tea with boba. Definitely fave is the royal tea cheese mousse. The sweet and salty mix was very pleasantly surprising. It was very refreshing, and definitely feel like I'll be back! read more

Cute place with nice decor. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Average boba/tea prices, toppings pretty cheap at 25 cents. They fudged up my order slightly; I ordered an orange fruit tea and they gave me a grapefruit fruit tea. When I checked my order slip, it said grapefruit fruit tea so I guess it was misheard. Very presentable when made. We went around/at closing time, but they let us know we could stay until we finished our dessert which was very nice of them. My friend ordered a creme brulee of which I had a bite; it was decent, but nothing special. read more

Recommend by many locals and not disappointed by this place ! Not your conventional tea location with all the basic teas, if you want something different and new this is the place for you. I ordered the Peach Oolong with the cheese mousse tea (150% recommend). I was a bit hesitant at first with the fact that my stomach and cheese aren't the best of friends. Upon the first sip, with the required precise 45 degree sipping angle giving you the perfect balance of tea to cheese mousse it was spectacular ! I knocked this thing down in no time ! Did no harm to my stomach definitely will be back for more ! Any combination with the cheese mousse is definitely something to be going for when walking into ROYALTEA! read more
The cafe is a gem. I have tried many bubble tea places but this place tops all of them. Cafe is small and parking is limited. The parking is in the rear with no signs or whatsover, however, it is worth visiting while in Orlando. I like there teas and fruit teas come with real fruits and have loose teas. You can taste the freshesness of the tea. Since there teas are made to order the waiting time is pretty long about 10 to 15 mins but it is worth the wait. I definitely recommend this when in the area read more

I think this is probably one of my favorite places to get bubble tea. Specifically milk tea, so every time I pass by this area of east colonial I try to stop by if I can. Decor and atmosphere is pretty aesthetic cause there's a wooden furniture kind of theme going on. It's in a pretty busy street so parking may be an issue for some people especially during rush hours. Parking can be an issue sometimes since they warn you about towing if you use the lot behind them so try to park on the streets if you're staying there. Service is pretty quick so it's never usually that much of a wait time. I've tried a couple of their drinks and I think my favorite go to is the RoyalThree, they have a really nice buttery milk tea and this option let's you have pudding, boba and grass jelly I believe so it's a good amount for you to try. Their cheese mousse is really good on other occasions to, it may sound weird to some people but it's basically using the concept of salty and sweet in a drink. And you can either drink it according to the instructions on the cup or just shake it up like normally. If you prefer fruit teas, my friend's drink came with a lot of sliced fruit so you have something to snack on after you're done with your fruit tea! read more
The ambiance in this new BOBA place is really nice, cool/modern look, great for college student hangouts. They have both high-tops and regular tables/chairs, but all are wooden seats which can become a little uncomfortable after sitting for a while. Their menu isn't at all confusing, or overly complicated, compared to some other boba places. They are organized well, price listed clearly with toppings price on bottom, and have pictures on it as reference for popular drinks as well! We ordered the matcha latte (extra strong matcha), grapefruit tea, royaltea, and royaltea mousse. The one bad thing I have to say about them is the overload on ICE that they put in every drink. It is literally filled TO THE TOP, and I think that's not fair. Their price isn't super cheap, even though only large sizes are offered, so I find it sad that they do that to every drink we ordered. For someone who drinks slow, not even 1/3 way of drinking my matcha latte, it tasted nothing like the first sip because so much ice had melted. Everything else was fabulous, just wish they could change this. Note: no punch cards made available yet, and WiFi password is hard to access for customers. Are the staff wearing masks during COVID?
Yes! And they have put up plexi glass barriers, and have markings on the floor in order to stay 6 feet apart while in line
Are you guys still open now?
They're still open, for take out only. I believe they're closing at 9pm now, but they should still be open.
Are their cups sustainable?
Not unless you rinse and recycle the single use plastic cups.
Do they use fresh milk? Not milk powder.
The milk is pasteurized by the supplier and then they use it after it is shipped to them.
Do they sell gift cards?
They do sell gift cards, I have a picture I would post it but I can't respond with a pic ! :)
Does anyone know if they still have their Merch, specially their "tea shirts"? I've tried to email them and ask, but no one has gotten back to me.

Yes! As I myself usually opt out of sugar, you do have the option of getting black tea or I believe oolong tea on ice. I would ask if their boba is made of tapioca flour or not. If it is out of tapioca flour it falls under paleo haha. Adds a chewy… Read more
