Pretty decent service. I bought some new jeans since I have been losing weight, and my legs aren't as long as the jeans that I buy, so I had to get them altered. Additionally, I had other pairs of old jeans that didn't fit as well as it used to due to the aforementioned weight loss. I was about to donate them when someone told me that dry cleaners can alter the waist size. When they had me wear the older jeans to get an idea, they said they could do one pair, but the other would look weird if their friend did the job. I'm wearing the one pair that their friend altered, and it fits and feels amazing. I don't know if anyone will be able to tell they were however sizes bigger than when I first bought them. The new jeans I had them alter fit really well and now is at a comfortable length where my shoes and jeans meet. Price wise, the husband told me over the phone that to alter the new jeans would be $15 each, but when I came in to have them measure the jeans, they told me it was $17 a pair. I just don't understand why they would quote me one price on the phone but charge me a higher price in-person. I guess we both won in the end. They got some business and I got my needs met. I came and asked for my husband business shirts to have heavy starch. Come to pick them up they were not dry cleaned and zero starch. We like the shirts to be stiff and look professional w crease on the arms. As I am showing th gentleman at the counter a woman comes from behind and pokes my arm and says a crease in the sleeve cost more money. I asked her not to poke me and respect my personal space then I show her by grabbing a corner of one shirt and how it quickly wrinkled there was no starch. How can you (the owner) argue against refunding a customer when you ruined their clothes? This place ruined my $250 authentic jersey. They do not care about customers' clothing. They washed it on high heat and used a high dryer setting, which faded the jersey, ruined the logo, and caused the stitching to come apart. She claimed the jersey was "poor quality," but it's obvious they handled my clothes carelessly and didn't bother checking the cleaning instructions. She made excuse after excuse, blaming the manufacturer instead of taking any responsibility. She did not offer to help fix the logo or the stitching. She even said she has washed thousands of jerseys, which either means she was careless with mine or she has ruined thousands of jerseys before. I asked if she would refund the cleaning fee as a gesture of good faith (not because I cared about the money, it was only $10) but to see their morals and how they treat their customers. Instead, I got an earful about how it was somehow my fault. She was visibly angry and irritated at the task of hemming my formal gown, yanked me around, and scolded me when I didn't follow instructions she didn't even give. I recently took my jeans for a simple waist alteration. I specifically asked her to only take in the waist, but she insisted that they had to alter the area above the butt as well. Unfortunately, the result was not what I expected. The fit around the upper butt ended up looking off, and I was really disappointed with the outcome. Altering the yoke is not the only way to take in the waist of jeans. Skilled tailors can often take in the waist by adjusting the side seams or by adding darts near the waistband, which avoids altering the yoke area. Some tailors may also choose to alter the back seam of the waistband itself without touching the yoke. In the past, I've had jeans altered without any changes to the yoke area, so I was surprised when she told me this was the only way to adjust the waist. I ended up having to go out and buy a new pair of jeans because the altered ones just don't fit right anymore. I'm definitely not happy with the experience, especially since I clearly stated what I wanted and still didn't get the desired results. I won't be returning to this place and would not recommend it if you're looking for basic alterations. Very frustrating! read more

My requests for a refund were completely ignored and no apologies were offered. The owner did agree to perform spot treatment on the area (at no additional cost), but even with this treatment, the stain is still relatively visible. The owner claimed the damage was not from her own doing, and she simply wasn't aware of it. She claims it may have been from another worker handling food (what kind of response is that?!?). If I can give 0 stars, I would. The first time we came in here for dry cleaning, we expected a lot because the owner who checked the items before accepting it for dry cleaning seemed very confident. We bought in my white dress, and my partners white suit which had 1 stain (owner also pointed out, ONLY 1 stain). When we went there to pick up days later, we noticed that the jacket's color COMPLETELY changed and there's now multiple stains on it! The jacket is not the same color with the pants anymore. When we called the owner (who took us in the first time) she said she doesn't see the difference, and she's not seeing the OBVIOUS stains on it! I have been using the shop by the Dominion and was very happy with their service. I brought in some brand new clothes to a shop closer to my residence. I needed these clothes including a new suit to be pressed for an important job interview. When I went to pick up the clothes I was told they lost some of my clothes including a pair of slacks that matched a new suit. Since I needed the full suit for my interview they instructed me to purchase a replacement suit and submit a claim. However, since then my calls have not been returned. Every company makes mistakes but as a loyal customer I do not appreciate being ignored and not getting the follow up and compensation any customer deserves. read more

This place won't be getting my future business. My coworker gave me a Halloween costume to use this year and it needed a zipper fixed. I figured 10-15 bucks tops to get it fixed. Nothing extravagant, I just needed to be able to wear it for an hour or so right? Well these women ruined Halloween. Or at least they tried too. At first as I showed them the costume they insisted that the fabric was messed up because the zipper caught onto the fabric. They didnt even want to touch the dress. Um, I took it off the fabric and showed them how the zipper was splitting. Not only did they want to charge me 22 bucks JUST to sew on a zipper but they needed me to run that night to Joann's which is 10-15 mins away and pick up a zipper. WTF? They dont have any there? I wasn't bringing her my Sunday best... this was a novelty item that I explained to both women that would complete our family halloween look. OMG. I walked out of there and didn't go back. Severely overpriced. I have had pants hemmed and zippers fixed before in San Francisco for less than what she was charging and it was back the next day. I got a little too champagne happy at an open bar for my cousins wedding. I needed to have my 100% silk dress AND my bf's suit desperately cleaned after my hurling fiasco (*shame.) I walk into the cleaners with all the garments in a plastic bag...it had been sitting in my trunk for about 3 days, ack! I apologized profusely to the lady about the smell that was reeking out of the bag and asked her if there was anything that could be done since the stains had been sitting in for a couple of days (*double shame) She said it would be tough...especially my dress...but she said she would try her hardest and that it would be done in a week. I had some uniforms dropped off here yesterday for alterations and the owner saw my name on the uniform and told my other half that she wouldn't work on them because I was a "problem customer." Glad to see I'm still remembered after 2 years. But the grudge for your mistake. Wow! On another thought maybe it was the shirt they LOST and had to pay me back for. Really people. Get over it! WOW updated review..... Just spent $23 on 2 jackets. Come home and they still have stains on them and an oder (i wore a spray tan). Everyone knows that spray tan washes out of everything! She got it off the visible collar/ back area.... When i looked inside the sleeves they still smelled and had major stains! They completely ignored the arm area!!! The WORST part is that they left visible stains on the outside.... I spot cleaned them with mild soap and guess what?! They came out! They never cleaned the outside! What a joke. Now I'm pissed. I called and asked for a manager. The woman refuses and asks what garment im complaining about. I tell her (kindly) what happened and that i just had to spot clean a jacket i picked up a few hours before. She says "shes human" and missed a few areas. When I'm spending 11 bucks to get a jacket washed i expect attention to detail. I asked for a refund and she said no "bring it down here ill look at it". Uhhhh i don't have time to make another trip! I told her my family has been going there over 20 years and i will never return!!!! She did not call back. Guess this business doesn't care!!!!! I have gone here on and off for years. I would say they are better at alterations than anything. I do appreciate that they open at 7am... I can drop things off on the way to work. Today i got there at 7:25.
