Not knowing many of the local contractors. My first calls were to the well-known window and door vendors (Anderson and Pella). After getting their prices back, we had to reassess the scope of the project since we would not be able to afford to do all of the doors at once. We did some more research and I came across Royal Doors and Windows. They had a lot of five star reviews which made me skeptical. I called and Danny was at my house in a few days. He took very precise measurements and photos. He even came back because he wanted to double check something that he didnt get a perfect picture of. The meeting in his office was excellent. He was able to walk us through our options, the costs and details. Moreover, he was able to show us the actual doors and how they would look on our house using his pictures and big screen in his office. It made the process extremely easy. When the big day came, the install team was just as Danny had promised. Chris and his partner we quick, efficient, and neat. They replaced three large doors and a window over a two day period. They were so quiet doing it, I was able to work from home in the next room. The doors came out great and we couldnt be happier. And the best part their price was 40% lower than the original quotes we got so we were able to complete the entire project in one shot. Thank you Danny. They know your address and they know how to use it. After they refused to respond to my requests to repair the holes they created on the seams between the doorframe and door THEY installed and sending me a door that was not the color they promised, I showed up at their showroom. When they asked why I was there I told them why. The salesperson was upset because his current victims/customers were there and overheard. He showed up at my house to do his best to embarrass me. From my driveway, he started to yell at me that I cost him business. This time I have a ring doorbell to catch his unprofessional possibly steroid induced behavior. He cost himself business by being a liar. The owner came by my house after this fiasco and offered me paint so I could paint my door the BLACK color that I initially ordered. He had the gall to say that the espresso/black color went better with my house anyway. My house was under renovation so he proved my point-I'm not trying to match the current color. I'm matching what it will be. Lastly, the fancy keypad doorknob they sold me was not installed correctly because the door would not close!!! They came back to fix it to loosen the screws to accommodate the misalignment. I wasted over $10000 on this poor excuse of a business. RUN. It is not worth it to do business with this company. They also need promised satisfaction guaranteed but they don't mean the customer-they are only concerned with themselves. THEY ARE A SCAM. read more

Yelp Using Royal windows and doors has been a disappointing experience. We really believed we would have an excellent experience and the best customer service since we were paying top prices for customized doors. After we paid $25,000, we call with some problems with the two French doors. The screens on both doors did not work properly, the weather stripping ribbed off and one of the handles on the doors was stripped. Right after installation we recognize the poor customer service. We called, we emailed, we basically pleaded for them to help us with our concerns, however, the typical response from Salon was "let me look into it and call you back". After looking in Lowe's and HD (not great quality or installation) or other specialty companies (very expensive), we bought a wood grained fiberglass door from Royal. Salesman was great, giving design advice and product recommendations. Workmen who installed were craftsmen. This old house has a number of "issues" but they took care of all of them. This door is beautiful. We get so many compliments on it. Solid, no drafts, even without storm door. Very satisfied. The icing on the cake was when I called last week to say a piece of rubber insulation was coming off the door jam. They sent two men over within the week. It was fixed, he wiped the door clean and did some minor touch ups he noticed in door stain. We love our door and are so pleased we went with this company. read more

About 6 months ago we had our front door replaced by Royal. This was a custom door that was over 15k and my wife and I thought it was expensive however we were looking for a different look and liked the door. After the installation the door looks great and recently we noticed the finish on the door was rubbing off so I called our Salesman and he couldn't care less. First he told me to call the service department because he couldn't be bothered and then he told me that it was my fault because my hands have oils on them which caused the finish to rub off after 6 months. I called the service department 5 times and got the run around each time and they still haven't called back. To be honest, all I was expecting was some touch up paint or stain that I would apply. It's very obvious that this company does not stand by its products and the customer service is poor . We needed to replace our custom sized double front doors. We called a number of places who either didn't show up for appointments, return calls or were unable to do custom work. Thankfully I discovered Royal through Angie's List. Solon designed beautiful fiberglass doors for us that keep the cold air out in the winter and AC in during the summer. We got the leaded glass inserts we wanted and the front of the house looks beautiful. The installation crew was terrific. They were careful not to do any damage to the house, made sure the burglar alarm was working and left the house spotless. It was a home improvement job that went flawlessly.
