Great locals place. They have pool and karaoke nights most days. Be sure to bring cash as the place only accepts cash. So as a cash only place the pour of the drinks is nice and heavy. Bartender is fantastic and is willing to make any drink you want, so long as you know all the ingredients. This place is a dive! So expect that going into the place! With that said, it is a lot of fun! I went for their 80s night and it was a blast. The live band was great, & the service was amazing! We had waitresses coming up to us frequently! I was actually surprised, because I'm used to dives telling you to go up to the bar! Then waiting forever to get service . This bar is okay. It's a bit old and divey inside. The place reeks of old drunks upon walk in. There's karaoke and an area to dance around a bit. Drinks are decent but 2 waitresses kept charging different prices for the same drink. And no! This was not pre and post happy hour. Hmmm...fishy. Behind the bar is another side with pool tables and old arcade games. You have to check in your license to get the balls for pool. Major con: no food!! My coworkers and I were here for hours. Luckily a Mexican restaurant was open in the shopping complex. Otherwise, the small cans of Pringles sold at the bar would not have sufficed. read more

I was there last Friday night! Cool spot but the drinks sucked if this older Caucasian lady made them. I gave her a chance and asked for speciality and she said she can made anything. But no!! The old lady needs to retire. She has a rude and nasty behavior with the customers. It is all about principle, therefore character counts which means "take care of your customers". I have seen her yell at customers for no good reason hence kick customers out of the bar. I am sure once the old lady retires people will start returning and enjoying the bar. Normally I come to royal room for the past few years, I usually have a an old bitter bartender. However tonight I had the BEST bartender I've ever had, her name was Beth. This was a great bar and it's great that they're finally making renovations but I don't think I'll be coming back here after this change. Firstly they're changing it to a club on Saturdays?? That's already dumb. This places thing was it's karaoke and karaoke is always best on the weekends. Secondly, 80s?? We already have new wave bar and 80s theme is SOOOO overrated...especially for the type of crowds that are around this area. Modern hip hop would do way better on that new dance floor. Thirdly, 10 DOLLAR COVER??? that's LAUGHABLE! Even more fancier clubs would charge less than that!!! If you want to charge that kind of cover that bar needs a FULL update. None of that old gross dive bar look. Maybe even offering finger foods would make it a little worth while for 10 bucks. They don't realize it yet but they'll see on the 19th that their ridiculous choice in music and that absurd cover charge will leave them empty on a Saturday night. Yes, it's a little ghetto but in that really really good way. It's the character of the place. Lots of billiard tables, some arcade games (the good ones like Bust A Move and 1945), and decent karaoke. I've had several evenings where I bought the drinks for 3 people for the entire night and my bill was no more than $40-50. REALLY CHEAP DRINKS, and no, they do not skimp on the alcohol. This isn't a half bad little spot. If you're looking for a dive bar to hang out at with friends, to shoot some pool and have some drinks.....this could be your spot. My husband and I checked out this spot last night and a good friend of mine met up with us there. First off, the place is clean, they're inside of a strip mall so there's a parking lot out front with good lighting. When we first walked in the bartender and local regulars greeted us which was cool. Karaoke was getting started and I noticed that there was plenty of room, this bar isn't cramped which is very good. The bartender Sherry is a pretty nice bartender and she'll tell you when you order a drink that she has a heavy hand when she pours. She never lied when she made my fav of Captain Morgan & Coke. There's about 5 pool tables, video games are along the back wall, they have an ATM and a bit of dance floor in front of the little karaoke stage. Oh....and I must say the bathroom was clean. So in a nutshell, the place is a bit dark, there's paneling on the walls, can't say a whole lot about the decor other than it's like visiting an old uncle's basement from back in the day. The locals are cool, the drinks are strong, the prices are real good and after a few drinks it really won't matter who's singing what song. The only thing I must tell is there's NO FOOD sold there. They only sell small cans of Pringles and Vienna Sausages! Eeewww! I saw someone come in with McDonalds and wasn't sweated so either bring your own grub or get your drink on and go someplace afterwards to eat like we did. read more

The bar is completely chill they have a decent selection of drinks and their prices are very nice with this economic situation. This bar in Bellflower is pretty cool. They do karaoke and have a bunch of pool tables you can use. If you go in the morning on Monday -thurs you get the bartender Sabby. I was surprised to read all the negative comments about this place. Im in my 30s but i took some people in their 20s and they had a blast! 'The crowd is older, 40s 50s but they mind their own business and are welcoming. The lady that does the Karaoke is fun as hell. She keeps it real. Rachael, a bartender is a sweet heart. This is Place does not deserve any stars, The place is dirty, there is no customer service, the Lady from the bar "big mama " is ridiculously disrespectful to customers. OK, It's a dive bar, but for those of us who don't have our noses in the air...this is a great hang out! Good drink prices, Mama Bear (bartender) is awesome! Good karaoke, although they need to keep up with the songs put out every month like they used to! KJs Keith (who sings some fierce country and was the first man other than my ex hubby I ever sang with), Beth (ask her to do some Evanessence) and Clint (who could possibly put Prince to shame at times) are all very good KJ's. Pool tables and games in the back room Bathrooms (while may not be easily accessible to wheel chairs) are usually not bad for a dive although I must say I haven't been in the men's room in a long time! LOL There happens to be a third bathroom in the back that may be more accessible that is co-ed, but people rarely use. Very friendly people, but I may be a bit biased as I am a regular on Sat nights! My opinion...if you're looking for a snooty bar, with high prices, spotless bathrooms and a customer base that is high fashion, fo to the SKY bar, you don't belong here!
