The young man who took care of me did the best foot and leg massage and hand massage that I've ever had in my entire life, and I'm 63 years old! He was personable and did a really excellent job with my nails. I was highly satisfied. So much so that I went back two weeks later to have my polish changed. The woman who took care of me I believe was identified as the owner's wife. She was absolutely wonderful. She was very personable. We had great discussion and she did an amazing job on my nails. He did an incredible job on my French manicure and pedicure! He apologized for the wait (I came early) and took his time on me. When I told him I was going to the beach before the wedding I was attending at night, he was honest and concerned about my freshly done mani/pedi. He suggested I should get gel nails so it wouldn't chip/wear off but he wasn't pushy at all and left the choice up to me. He was easy to talk to and sociable while being thorough on my mani and pedi. I'm so upset at how awful my experience was. I arrived a few minutes after open to see if I could get a walk-in pedi/gel manicure. The gentleman working at the front told me it was no problem and that I could pick out a color. After picking my color I sat at a pedicure chair and waited for my pedicure. After about 10 minutes, a woman walked in the back door and came to help me. She introduced herself as Tina and went to work on my pedicure. Towards the end of my pedicure Tina stopped to wax a gentleman's eyebrows. No problem at all since I wasn't in a huge rush. Then Tina moved me to her manicure station. Half way through my manicure Tina started complaining about the fact that I didn't call ahead to make an appointment. I told her that I didn't know where I was going to be today and couldn't make an appointment ahead of time. She continued to complain and let me know that me coming in to get my nails done interfered with her ability to run the errands she had hoped to run that morning!!! She rushed through the remainder of my manicure, clearly making a point that she was annoyed. At the end of my manicure, instead of allowing me to dry my still wet toes, Tina told me I needed to just run the heat in my car. It was obvious she wanted me to leave immediately. So now one of my toes has already gotten messed up. I have NEVER been treated so poorly when getting my nails done. I will never set foot in this awful place again. It's the cleanest place too, they clean the bottles and counters while the polish dries, I've never seen that at any nail salon previously (I've tried many before a friend recommended this place) The manicure lasts at least three weeks before they start to fade and then I go back for a fill. They put a lot of effort into getting the design absolutely perfect! I get my manicures done by Lee, my previous manicure he went through 3 shades of blue before he was satisfied that it matched!! I came to this salon with a lot of positive reviews. I ended up making an appointment around the time I wanted. I got there and unfortunately had to wait about 10 minutes. No biggie. They shuffled me to a seat where they started to FILE OFF THE GEL! Then after that painful experience, they soaked my nails to get the gel polish off. I finally sat down and the worker took off the foils and started to scrap off the nail polish. I'm used to this but definitely NOT after already being filed off. She scraped so hard the she took off several layers of nail. I didn't realize it until after I was finished and you could physically pull all my nails backwards. They are horrifically thin. I go to scratch something and they bend backwards. The pain is excruciating!!!!! To make matters worse, I picked out a color. She didn't like it, and changed it from from to purple. Didn't ask, just did it. At the end my nails looked nice BUT I can't get my nails done anymore until they grow back!! They are so thin I can actually feel pain when I rub the top of my nail, under it. I will never go back there again. I'm shocked they have such great reviews and I don't have an infection! read more
